You guys should see this recent movie, "Cat Person". The theme is in line with this topic, and it sort of gives an insight to what goes on in the mind of some, if not most women, in these instances. Guys need to build a lot more self-control and always ensure effective and factual communication.

I feel like the perspective of “I need to ask her so she doesn’t think I want to assault her or so if she says… I know I asked” needs to be removed. The reason for asking should be so you know she feels safe and that she’s comfortable and actually consents to what happens next.

When some women get raped, they dissociate and process it at first like nothing happened. Then they realize they were assaulted and come out to talk about it. Not saying he’s guilty or not but it does happen. You can look it up.
