I mean the course is still useful because that serves as the foundation to what you called "current" skills, you wouldn't have your current skills without the latter experience you had when studying the course

@@henaroordanza449 Kung gusto mo ay Pure Developer and Programs mag ComSci ka, Kung gusto mo naman Computer mismo binubuo at upgrading ng bawat computer unit mag CPE ka kasi more on Hardwaring yan, at kung wala jan yung gusto mo at more on Information gusto mo at more on kalokohan mag BSIT ka, more on pagkuha ng Information pinag aaralan dun at pag silip ng kahinaan ng Isang programs, database, etc, hacker ang BSIT Kung iisipin yan tinuturo jan puro pagkuha ng Information at security research para sa websites or any programs.

Wala pong board exam ang CpE. However, you may take certification exams :))

Hindi kami pwedeng tawaging Registered Engineers kasi wala naman kaming dadaanang Board Exam. Pwede kami tawaging Computer Engineer and maglagay ng “Engr.” as prefix or “,CpE” as suffix sa name namin as per CHED naman. Balita ko from our Org na Magkakameron na rin kami Board Exam from PRC but it’s taking so much time because of the scope ng Computer Engineering.

Btw skl. Nung 1st yr college ako CS yung una kong course then nung 2nd yr ako nagshift ako through IT kase nakita ko yung mga magiging electives namin pagdating ng 3rd yr at 4th yr meaning yung mga iispecialize namin na subject. (Depende din yan minsan sa curriculum at school) And as of now mas goods ako sa mga subjects ng IT kumpara sa CS subs ngayon. May mga strength and weakness talaga tayo pagdating sa mga subjects and kung sa tingin niyo na nahihirapan kayo ngayon sa course natin wag kayo panghinaan ng loob! Malay mo magaling ka sa ganitong field pwedeng dito hindi. Analawak talaga kase ng CS at It sa totoo lang marami ka pwede madiscover. So ayun lang hahaha good luck sa lahat ng kumuha ng course na to! ♥

Yup CS is must in detail pag dating sa Developing and Programming, Ang IT more on Informations at pagpapatibay ng Security ng isang Programs na binuo ng ComSci or CP, kagandahan lang sa BSIT yan lang yung course na pwede sa loob at pwede sa labas, I mean pwede ka sa loob ng websites as Security Researcher at pwede ka sa labas as websites Hacker, kaya na uso ang BSIT dahil sa mga sikat na hacker or security researcher na ng hahack ng ibat ibang websites, for good reasons, yung iba ng hahack para ipaalam sa nag develop ng websites ano kahinaan ng websites, at my ng hahack na for bad reasons, pero ang IT hindi dapat ginagamit sa ganyang paraan ang trabaho talaga ng IT is takpan o protectahan ang isang website or system, laban sa hacker sa labas yan ang trabaho ng isang IT or tulungan iimprove yung websites or system na ginawa ng ComSci or CP.

Ako din huhu nag dadalawang isip ako kung CS ba o IT...incoming freshmen palang ako matapos tong school year kasi grade 12 palang ak ngayon....Kaya medyo mahirap.

If you're referring to the list subjects ng BSCS students, it depends on the curriculum of the university. I will make a video about my whole first year experience as soon as I finish it so don't worry :)) But as a whole, BSCS students focus on learning how to develop different algorithms by programming/coding to solve modern-day solutions.

Year later, any updates po? How is the experience so far? Unsure si mama kung i su support niya ako sa field xD. My first plan is to take an IT course and then take a tertiary education course. Hi! Applying internship for programming while not having a programming subject is not a great plan baka macancel internship mo. It's either you change schools na find one with a programming course/subject or stick to whatever course, intern to a company that revolves around whatever course you took and wait for college to apply for a course you originally wanted. If you really wanna stay in that school and also pursue programming, you can learn programming at home rin naman. Yung internships/work immersions kasi it depends on the system of the school. Sometimes schools choose where you guys will intern at, some will leave you guys to your own wits.

@@irishd.1311 sa amin meron. Para sa akin okay naman Physics kung ang curriculum nyo naman ay nauna ang calculus kaysa sa Physics edi maswerte ka kasi parang doon palang parang papraktis ka doon tapos pagdating physics hindi kana medyo mahihirapan.

You can take BS IS po. Isa sa tinuturo dun ay entreprenuer in IT :)

The goal of the video was to give people an idea and help them on deciding on what course to take. That is why I only gave a general definition or just the surface of the courses. I hope this will help you. CpE, in a very simplified definition, it deals with development and creation of computer hardware and systems. So next moving forward sa mga ginagawa ng CpE. Mula sa single board computer, pag d'design ng PCB, Embedded Systems, semiconductor (ito yung mga micro chips, processor, flash memory and etc) Computer, robotics, and even design and development of super computer (pag naging researcer ka) pasok iyan sa skill sets mo (depends din sa specialization). Although kahit graduate ka ng CpE, sakop pa rin sa job description mo yung mga ginagawa ng CS and IT graduates. In short, you can still be a software engineer/dev, web dev and so on (well, depends pa rin sa specialization). Btw share ko lang, getting a job from a semiconductor company or electronics company here at the philippines is a bit tricky, kasi most of employers mas preferred nila mga electrical/electronics engineers. If you want to be an engineer (CpE) pero mag i'istay ka sa pinas and gusto mo mag focus sa hardware, I suggest na pasok ka mga smartphone companies dahil pasok din sa smartphone design ang CpE. Sa ibang bansa naman, literal na sinasamba mga Computer Engineers hahaha I'm not over exaggerating pero look at this link and see kung gano ka laki ave salary ng mga CpE sa US. www.mtu.edu/engineering/outreach/welcome/salary/ Japan, korea and taiwan also have a good treatment sa mga CpE dahil itong tatlong bansang to ang sentro ng semiconductor industry. So ayorn, naparami na sinasabi ko hahaha again I hope na makatulong itong information na naishare ko.

EE -High Voltage,High Current, Power Production and Distribution, Machineries. Pero nag ooverlap pa rin mga disciplines na yan. Example is my father who is a Licensed EE but he handles Telecommunication Devices,Signal Processing, Telephony.
