I liked more Da Nang than Nha Trang, because the beach in Da Nang looked more natural, and the sand was white. While in Nha Trang beach sand is rough, but the good thing beach is deeper than in Da Nang, so you don't need to go as far as in Da Nang, where the beach is quite shallow depending on the tide.
I started out in Nah Trang in 1966 then Pleiku and near Da Nang. I swam in China Beach for my in country R&R in Da Nang. After Thailand went back to Nha Trang for a year. Also went to the Mekong delta in 1971 for several months.
I was hard to find tennis in Da Nang, but in Nha Trang I had the unique experience of getting beaten by a tennis pro who played me in bare feet! (I am a reasonably good player, and I never would of believed that this could be possible...)
I played tennis with the police chief in their office compound in Nha Trang. Quite a random event - just walked around and saw a tennis court in a government looking compound. A lot of fun though. They asked me to come the next day. But unfortunately I had to leave for Saigon the next day. Look forward to a rematch the next time I am in Nha Trang.
Better weather in Nha Trang and it's smaller and doesn't have much compared to Da Nang. I like Da Nang much better but weather is so important to me I'm tossed up.
Very informative video. I’ve been to Danang and it’s so pretty and beautiful I plan Nha Trang next time. Keep travelling and pleaseeeeeee do not go back to Russia soon 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Interesting. My wife and I will go for the first time to Vietnam for one week. We'll stay in Da Nang. Though Nha Trang looks interesting, it is too far for a daytrip, so we'll go there maybe another time... see how we like Da Nang first...
I built a house in nha trang, beachfront in 2023. It makes wife happy. Me the city a little to hot, and not enough greenery. Its nice to raise a family , or retire, but little job opportunity. I like north like sapa or tam Dao mountain.
I’m a full time slow traveler..and I have lived in both Danang and Nha Trang, and DaNang is better overall..although when it gets really hot during the middle of the summer I lived in DaLat, which has mild temps and spring like weather year round, and it’s only a few hours inland from Nha Trang, so easy to commute between the two. The big advantage that DaNang has over NT is the international airport that is located just ten minutes from downtown, it make a huge difference if you travel a lot to have that advantage, with direct flights to cities all over SEA. There is nothing NT has, that DN doesn’t. Good luck and happy travels. 👍
I want to move to Vietnam for 3 months (mby more, but 3 months for sure).. Starting from September or October… At first I wanted to choose Da Nang, but people keep telling its rainy season and very bad weather there? Do you have experience? Would Nha Trang be better? I plan to work on the daytime and relax on the evenings (beach, dancing classes, workshops or hoping to find digital nomads community there).. Also good food, cafes are important
As a westerner (Europe I understand, not USA or Canada) how do you compare tolerating the humidity and heat in Nha Trang to Da Nang and Da Lat? Does it feel like living in a sauna confining oneself to air conditioning 24/7 all year? What about air pollution issues and noise? Your video sounds like the heat and humidity is intolerable.....(??)
It felt like living in a sauna during the summer, but during the winter, the temperature was comfortable in Nha Trang. I'm not sure about Danang because we only lived there during the summer. I didn’t notice any air pollution in either city. If you want to escape from the noise, I would recommend finding a place a little away from the touristy areas. Alternatively, consider places like Dalat or Hoi An, Hoi An is located 30 minutes away from Danang by car. Very beautiful small town
whats the place w pancakes and pizza? thx which buffet u liked the most? protip - there used to be a french restaraunt on the mountain in the north. not sure if hes there but good view and amazing food
Us westerners need to stop comparing everything. Implying one thing is better means the other place is lesser. Then we look down upon. Can be more positive with the beauties of Mha Trang and beauties of Da Nang? This is a good way toclive your life. Small steps turn your life around.
@@harry12 of course. Caregorised as europeans 'Chau Au' i think or is that the term for asia. The Russians i met in Vietnam were so cool. My good mates partner is a very sweet Russian lady. They are really approachable and easy to talk with
@@kristinaventures Thanks I will take a look. I though that maybe a small place like Siem Reap in Cambodia could escape the heat and humidity, but apparently not.....!!
HI, nice video. I live in Danang now and am looking to move. Can you please give me the name of that accomodation that you stayed in in Danang? Thanks very much, subscribed!:)
Lovely video! Would you mind elaborating how I can find a flat/or studio to rend in Nha Trang. I struggle to find Facebook groups for rentals. Is there another way to find flats to rent?
I've been searching on Google Maps by entering 'apartment' or 'condominium.' Sometimes, they provide contact information in the description, or I simply walk there.
Good video, liked and subscribed. Did you find that Nha Trang apartment on Airbnb or somewhere else? If possible, could you either post the name of the building or send me a message with it? Thank you :)
@@kristinaventures No i meant do you find the condos on facebook groups? the price you quote seems so low. Or do you mean you just google them and then just walk in and ask to see a condo?
@@civivva4501 just search them in google maps. Sometimes walk, sometimes call them if they leave contact information (which you can find by clicking on 'about'). You can also try to connect with them through google maps chat if that option is available.
Неужели вы считаете, что произношение - не важно? Как можно говорить с таким чудовищным, почти карикатурным произношением? Через 30 секунд видео я со стыда сгорел
Thank you for reply🙏 Funny you say Pattaya; I'm thinking to live there for 6 months then try Vietnam. Looking forward to more videos! @@kristinaventures
Great video! We’re living in Da Nang right now and always wondered about Nha Trang. Also your editing has come a long way in the last few months! Keep it going! ❤️
I like living in Nha Trang more than Da Nang because the sea is more beautiful and the food tastes better than Da Nang, especially the seafood sauces that Nha Trang prepares are the best.
I {USA} am seriously going to come to VM . . . DaNang was the highest on my list. I'm so thankful that you did this video. While the international airport is right there in DN, {easy to get into} I'm sure I'll need to get to Nha Trang. Keep up the good work.
the brand you mentioned is available in nha trang H&M ,,OK,,and especially nha trang has many islands to visit and relax ,,and,,more ,,and maybe you come nha trang during rough sea season so the water is a bit turbidand the waves are big,,,you should to come from march to september ,,thanks ,,you welcome again
You may think that its a better coty. However i also bet everything that you just stay in An Thuong area. Or at least the foreigner side. Every day i wake up the first i want to is get out of the foreigner area. I have no interest in moving to another continet just to seek out overpriced food ive been eating my whole life especially when theres the best cuisine in the world.
I was looking for a video on Nha Trang city layout, districts, and a general city guide for expats/foreigners and came across your video. Maybe you should do a video on this? There are loads of videos on "things to see" in Nha Trang.
Your flat you were showing in Nha Trang may be a bit more expensive in Da Nang thanks to ocean view and especially thanks to the amazing pool. Da Nang doesn't have a single building with such a pool, not even the "luxury condos" (that have shitty pools on the ground floor). Nha Trang is the only city with such nice large rooftop pools.
lol..dude, are you on drugs? Most medium and large size hotels in Danang have rooftop pools, as many as Nha Trang or even more. Maybe you should actually travel to these places and check them out yourself before commenting from your Mom’s basement in rural Alabama. 😂😂
Nha Trang for me, danang have too many tourists, westerners, visitors etc it's very crowded during the weekend on the beach front. And why visitors should visit Western food/restaurants while living in vietnam, it's unbelievable 😢. The country have so many choices of local delicious cuisine for a fraction of the price of these western joints!. Good work 😊 Also you should make videos of some local eateries hidden places.
I like your videos, it is so informative. I'm from South Africa and watched your video about Da Nang before flying. Now I'm in Hoi An, waiting for my night bus to Nha Trang and came across your channel again!
@@tleshilo I liked Da Nang a lot more. Budget hotels are everywhere and the prices are cheap because they are competitive. I also found that Da Nang had more food options to choose from. Nha Trang is nice but I felt like there weren’t a lot of tourists, rather long term travelers/ expats who live there. Da Nang is also nice because it’s so close to Hoi An. I think there is a bigger international community in Da Nang too. But all in all, both are nice. Just my opinion that Da Nang was a bit nicer.
Ciao thanks for the video, what are the best months to stay in DaNang and NhaTrang ? Did you find the apartments through a real estate agency or by walking around in person? Ciao from Italy
Ciao ))) We lived in Da Nang during the summer, and it was very hot at that time. Now, in Nha Trang, the weather is comfortable. I've been searching for apartments on Google Maps, either walking there or calling if they have contact information.
All the pools in Da Nang I've had - and I've had many, including right now - were always too warm. As in, easily over 25 degrees, and in the evenings noticeably warmer than the outside air and wind. It's very expensive to cool them down properly. So they're only cool during "winter season", but not in the high summer months. You've been very lucky if yours were cool!
Thank you for your time and posting. After reading almost all the comments, I think you found out that nobody reads the comments before they ask a question. Maybe at the end of each video, you could say all locations, restaurants, etc. are listed in the 'Gray Box', or whatever you call it. :) Very nice video. I'll be checking out VN in October to see if I want to retire there. I tried Ecuador, and Australia, and looked into Portugal, didn't like any of them.
30 years ago, there were no guards anywhere. We all lived. What I find interesting are the idiots who eat while they are getting food. :) You're better places will change the serving utensils often. :)
