Actually the normal backpack CAN also be washed in the machine and come out just fine. That fabric would be ok on the wash too. Just saying.

As someone who has watched way too many backpack videos and read way too many articles... very high quality backpacks I can justify the cost since you won't need to buy a new one for decades if you know what to look for, but that backpack is worth at most $60 and I'm being generous. Btw, that Jansport Right Pack you can get for super cheap if you know where to look for sales and whatnot while having a limited lifetime warranty. Write the company a nice, polite letter and they're even more willing to either fix or replace.
