The difference between RASTER and VECTOR art? 

I prefer raster based art due to charm it gives, as if illustration was made traditionally. I usually use Illustrator to create base shapes and in Photoshop I add various textures. It really depends on the type of style creator is going after.

Have u tried Clip Studio Paint? The Vector tracing is a "Raster" result. This concept was created because in Japan for doing Manga and Anime the Vector Process is fast and editable.

Gimp has been a close friend ever since junior high; I could never part from it. Although, converting rasters into vector to get best quality is something I'd prefer. Especially when making Line Art. Why would anyone ever have the gall to dislike this video? It immerses the viewer with whimsy and objective detail whilst suggesting the "perfect" digital art program for the viewers from declarative mindset. Then have us choose for ourselves. The music is upbeat and contemporary, the environments is appropriate, and the innovation from your animation is eye catching. Plus you do your looks likable in a way nobody that should dislike you; it's a perfect win-win.

I just use Krita and Inkscape. I don't have much money, so having free software that does exactly the same thing is a no-brainer.

I am here just because I have inkscape installed on my computer and I don't know what I should use it for :D But in all seriousness, I do need to draw some small icons... And I've been trying to use painting app for that, but it's just hard to get the perfect shape of a certain object that I need to put in there... Even if I use the tools like rulers, mirror, perspective, shapes, stabilized brush, it's just never near to the certain shape that I wanted... So I was wondering if maybe vector app can help me with that...

Serif Affinity Designer has Vector and Raster ‘personas’ in the one program 👍. Not free although there is a 30 day free trial - but tablet version is very reasonably priced.

So why not use Affinity Photo and Designer. Designer on it's own does both vector and raster without having to switch to another program like you do with Adobe! OK, so it's a bigger learning curve and it may not look like Ai or Ps, Inkscape or Krita or GIMP, but it sure has all those things you talk about and more, some that aren't in any of those 'posh' graphic apps. And yes, they're paid for, once only. And they're constantly updated for free. No subscriptions, No paid for annual upgrades. FREE. And there are plenty of tutorials. Why not try your hand with a free trial. (I'm not paid by them, I just love using them.)
