Seals are a curious little bunch, they can approach you with no ill intent and vice versa, unlike sea lions, which are naturally hostile and territorial when approached, so you do not want to touch them. Golden rule is that the one that has "feet" is always on their feet.
seals are chonky, sweet, cute, curious, nice, slow, and will not attack you if they see you sea lions are not chonky, fast, can walk, and will probably attack you to remember: seals have hole ears, they galumph (the official term for whatever seals do to move on land), short fins. sea lions have flap ears, they can wadddle-walk, and have long fins.
I thought that this video was going to be a video of a person petting and cuddling a seal; then switching to a person being chased by a sea lion, to demonstrate their vastly different temperaments.
I always wanted a baby seal, platypus, penguin spider monkey, and a tigris if they only can stay babies forever. My dream animals . If i was a billionaire I will literally build these animals its only habitat , and play with them every day not doing shit all day . Just chilling with pets .
That's not how that works. In fact I'd wager there will never be any meaningful evidence of larger structural change to support 'evolution'. The best the gimped-out researchers can do is dig up some bones and fabricate a story. The story about the horse involves fossil animals that swap the number of toes they had during their supposed development, from 5 to 4 to 3 to 4 to 3 etc. It's all nonsense. Epigenetics and variations within a kind are the best you can get, for example in the dog family they are all distinctly dogs. There are no cats there.
I’ve always wondered if seal/sea lions were canines that went into the sea or vice versa. I don’t know what science says but they’re so much like canines that I find it hard to believe they aren’t related someway back in time.
Isn't the sea lion SPECIFIED by Happy Feet's characters a seal then?? Like it is that design exactly. Every other media doesn't say they're the same thing, but they literally specify the sea lion and seal with the opposite animal.

Look at the seal, eyes closed, looking sweet and wanting to be rubbed. Now, look at the butthole seal! Large energetic eyes watching every move and quite frankly only trying to get some food. That's your real difference there.
