I always thought OBs tampons are way better fitting comfortable and more secure than Tampax tampons. Evey women and young lady is different and have different opinions and brands they like & grew up on. For me, my mom, sister we used OBs tampons all our young teen & adult life, me personally I never ever had a problem with leaking or hurting feeling , or any bad discomfort feelings of removing them. Pro comfort tampons are the 100 % the best ones out there by OBs. I personally like and are my number one go too tampons for my period needs. I personally can't say a bad thing about OBs tampons, except like them with an applicator than without, and come with a carry case. It's more sanitary and cleaner in my opinion . I wish OBs tampons would have more of a variety for teens and young women to choose from for Evey store world wide.
Everybody's saying good things about OB but my personal experience is different. The high flow tampons leak within 3 hours of insertion on the first three days, it's annoying.
sotiria _ sotiria thats right. I live in Russia and using ob normal/mini in my period and when i find in my country and use tampax compak i was shocked. It’s not comfortable and looking scary, but i use tampax perl regular, and i like this more then ob PS Sory my mistakes, pls🤦♀️
As someone who used both OB and Tampax I can't ignore the fact you used different absorbing powers. You should use the green Tampax so it's actually acurate. And trust me or check it yourself Tampax hold way better. Elongating is actually more comfortable because I could always feel pressure on my vaginal walls from OB but you don't feel a Tampax - at least I don't. Everyone is different and should use the product that works better for them but it's also a great idea to try some products first. After trying with OB I swore tampons off and discovering Tampaxes a year ago - I love them so much and use them instead of pads which I used to use exclusively. Never leaked either. This video is just disrepresenting and disinforming because OB used had three drops and Tampax only two - and I hate the idea that someone won't try a Tampax cause of this video so I knew I had to write this comment cause for me they were a real game-changer - plus I just really hate disinformation.
I always was afraid of tampons...I tried to put it in for years, since school, but somehow I couldn't put it in, until I tried O.B. ProComfort the smallest size and the one bigger later. It just worked! So I was like 28 or smth.... I don't like tampons still, but when I need it, I use inly O.B.
It's been known more than 50 years that Obi works better due to the fact that when Obi gets full of blood it expands sideways not not oblong which is top to bottom when it just goes top to bottom it leaves spaces for the sidewalls for leakage ob doesn't do that it spans out on the sides which is what you need in the end therefore works with no leakage and therefore also holds more blood in the end so oh B is your best friend topped to best friend top to bottom has been for 30 plus years It's not rocket science
Aww this reminds me of the first time using a tampon: small with plastic applicator (easiest), then regular size plastic applicator, moving on to cardboard applicator, then finally graduating to no applicator. I prefer OB as it works well and it is precise when inserting since I can feel with my finger.
I switched to reusable menstrual disks since they're a lot more comfortable and you can save money from not buying too many feminine products. Tampons tended to feel like they were poking me. But when I was using them, OB was my go to. Just shows that you don't need the applicators. I found them the most comfortable tampon too
I used OB at the start of my period when it was heaviest and the switched to playtex tampon after a couple of days. OB were too absorbant for a light flow and would get uncomfortable hard to remove.
There’s a declared absorbance capacity (usually in grams in EU) on each of their boxes, and it clearly says that o.b. Normal holds more blood in grams than the Tampax Regular. It’s no rocket science, you just have to read what it says and buy the one that suits your needs.
Just fyi, in most cases it probably doesn’t expand that quickly. Period blood flows out in drips. Although sometimes it can “gush” on heavy days, so it’s good to have the right-sized tampon inserted.
@@kikithepupper6774 you use your finger. You have to wash your hands afterwards anyway, whether you use an applicator or not 🤷🏽♀️ I find it’s easier to get it into the most comfortable position without an applicator.
In my country tampons with applicators aren't sold and I don't see why you would waste the extra plastic. You have to wash your hands afterwards anyways 🤷🏼♀️ And if someone seriously never stuck their finger up their vagina as an adult its about time if you dont want your sex life to suck. Feeling comfortable with your body and your sexuality without shame is so important. 🙏
It's not about that. It's about ease and comfort. The applicator makes it 10x's easier & more comfortable to insert the tampon. Inserting a dry cotton tampon without a plastic applicator is painful (at least for me anyways).
@@SnapesPrincess4 I don't know you or your body, so maybe thats true. But since most countries in the world live without them just fine it could be that you're just used to them or overly sensitive. I wouldn't shove in a dry tampon as well. The first day you should wait for after you pee and not wipe. As soon as the flow gets stronger its no issue whatsoever. Sometimes its worth the extra plastic. And sometimes its worth to try something new to question whether we actually need it or not. That's why I tried several menstrual products to find out what works best for me.
@@SnapesPrincess4 a good non-applicator tampon should feel smooth, not dry or rough. I did try applicator tampons once but found it difficult to get in the right place, so I switched to non-applicator. I guess we all have different experiences and what works for us is what’s important.
OB pro comfort are the best in my opinion. I can't use the ones with just regular material, it feels dry and painful and yucky. Other brands I've tried are much less comfortable (and regular OBs are as well) and I also find the twisted canals helpful to prevent leaking. I've also only ever used tampons without applicator, and it's really no big deal and much less messy than many think, but I would like to have the opportunity to use an applicator. My first attempt at using a tampon were miserable. I got one from my mum, I think it was "super" and not that soft silky cover that the OB pro comfort has. I must have been 13-14 and it was absolutely miserable! I didn't even try using tampons again for many years. Felt like heaven when I found the pro comfort and the mini size!
@@claudiavanleeuwen7397 actually, if you look closely the OB has 3 droplets on the packaging and the tampx only 2. Therefore the OB is a size up from the tampax.
You could have put some colorful liquid (maybe blue aneline in water?), it would be cool and easier to see the water being absorbed with the help of some color.
From Europe and we don’t really have tampons with applicators… went to America and bought tampax and could honestly never figure out how to use the applicator, it hurt and never got the tampon into the right spot so definitely OB for me plus less waste without using an applicator all the time
"what is more efficient and more environmentally friendly?" Cups. They are a great alternative in most cases. I use them for years now and would not go back to tampons.
I have a question with all respects. What are you really doin to disinfect it when you are outside of the house and you feel it full? When you are at work, at school etc. and there's no personal sink in the toilet to wash it immediately when you take it out...?
@@maria0msd0 because it can stay in much longer I'm not that often in this situation. But if I am, I just clean it with a paper towel. As long as I only touch it with clean hands that shouldn't be a problem :)
Yes, but Tampax has a wings and more protective because of them and also applicator is very comfortable to apply, because after OB you have to wash your hands again and again. I always choose Tampax if I have an option, but unfortunately there are always tampons without applicators as OB etc.
🤣 1. Why was this reccomended to me? 2. Why is a man comparing tampons? 3. Do you really think dropping it into a shot glass of water is a comparable test? 🤣
I think it’s a decent enough test. It shows the maximum absorption and the shape the tampon takes during absorption. Tampax expands more lengthways, which bears out my experiences with the product. Not good.
No offence to anyone but I personally hate tampax soooo much I can’t physically use them no matter how hard I try I just get so frustrated with them😡😡😡
It's the same - regular by Tampax and normal by o.b. These brands have different symbols/names for capacity. For example, o.b.'s 2 drops is a mini size, which is incomparable to regular
The ob string looks a bit flimsy. I don't know if it is or not, but it made me a bit nervous to try it out back when I still used tampons (menstrual cup user now).
Как раз равноценное, т.к. у разных брендов разные обозначения. Надо смотреть не только на количество капель, но и на само слово, обозначающее впитываемость. Regular и normal это одно и то же
After using a Dylan, a literal male, to try to sell me tampons, I do not want to buy Tampax anymore. Are there any other companies that do applicator tampons? Females get periods. Males do not. I don't need a male talking to me about how to use a tampons. Ridiculous!
