In the words of Professor Delia Steinberg: the art of being oneself, beyond being difficult, is wonderful, as it leads us to encounter our Being.
Delia Steinberg Guzmán is currently Honorary President of the New Acropolis International Organization, having been its president from 1991 to 2020.
She is of Spanish nationality and graduated in philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires where she also studied exact sciences, journalism and advertising.
Pianist and writer directs the cultural and philosophical magazine Sphinx while developing a continuous teaching work giving courses, conferences and seminars in different countries of Europe, America and Asia on topics such as "Ancient civilizations and their points in common", "Pain and its causes", "Esoteric traditions on the origin of man and the universe", "The keys to Astrology", "Philosophy for living", "Youth anguish", "Astrology and psychology", "Egypt: Thought, life and religion", "The initiatory way of Santiago", "The legacy of the Templars", "The metaphysical beauty of women", "Tradition and time", "Music therapy", Chromotherapy, etc.
For her work as Director of New Acropolis, she received in 1980 the Silver Medal of Arts, Sciences and Letters, awarded by the Academic Society of Education and Development, endorsed by the French Academy.
A marked interest in culture and education as an instrument for her personal fulfillment encompasses her entire life.
ABOUT THE PHILOSOPHY FORUM "KNOW YOURSELF"
The New Acropolis International Organization, since its inception, has promoted philosophy as a necessary reflection and commitment to life. It is the most complete engine that can place us before ourselves to help us to know ourselves and realize ourselves as human beings.
When we ask ourselves questions such as who am I? where do I come from? and where am I going to? Every human being is trying to go from the mere impulse of biological survival to the need to recognize a meaning in life, to treasure an experience, and to project towards a future that he/she wants to build.
When we see ourselves as beings who have a wonderful potential, yet to be developed, it is when we begin to pass from the condition of "victims" of circumstances and the world, to "learners" and "builders" of our own history.
It is for these and other reasons that we have wanted to take up, from the Greek sages, the old sentence of:
Know yourself.
