And as per Jaishankar Digital infrastructure helps in immediate impact on people with direct Bank transfers and help in reduction of poverty by ensuring every money spend by government reached people rather than siphoned off in the middle. Also increasing ease of living. So probably thinking of betterment of ordinary citizens world over and also goodwill. Also helps Indian tourists to make payments easily in those countries.

I think I know one. Canara bank and their sister companies is launching a new digitised banking product. It’s not yet available to the public, but I’ve seen it with the Divisional Manager level employees & he briefed me on it. The loan application & subsequent grants & also the offline usage of your wallet in case you don’t have access to the internet, is kind of revolutionary on an individual, small businesses & MSME’s level. I don’t think the MNC’s will benefit much directly but yea indirectly they will. You’ll see when it launches.

Villages are must, but instead of backward Village we must have modern village that is well connected to nearby cities, with road, railways, a helipad facility, if a small airport not possible. Internet is a must, cattle and agriculture is a must which requires villages instead of cities for proper functioning. Education facilities like basic schooling, college or university depends on how big villages are or how far cities are from the village, I mean they can use metro or hi speed trains like Japan, China to reach nearby villages. Of course, banks are also necessary. I also think that we have too many villages and cities, distributed over a wide range. So, instead joining 6 - 7 small villages to construct large village with better infra is also a good option to provide better facilities to them.

man i can never understand this indians obsession with villages especially once you have lived in a city. We have too many people in agriculture, over 60% in fact. I think it's okay to turn few villages into modern cities .

Urban life is not a natural way of life and is against evolutionary impulse of species, urban lifestyle is cold, consumerist, individualist and efficient, that's why people suffer more psychological issues in cities bcs of unhealthy diet, lack of community and cognitive dissonance.
