So let me get this trailer straight, the decades old UK carrier blows up in the gulf coast and this diplomat wants to look into Russia and Saudi Arabia to see who blew it up? Russia, I get. But Saudi Arabia? Home of the biggest American military base in the Middle East? 😂😂😂And she’s supposed to want to avoid war?

I feel like this show can easily have a crossover with The Night Agent, I feel like if Netflix keeps realeasing shows of this caliber they'll be alright.

Smartly written and the cast is outstanding! I applaud this series. This is one of the best Netflix has offered in along time. Don't let it be the last! This is truly a must watch.

I really enjoyed Homeland, so I’m interested to see what the creators did. Also, Keri Russell was amazing in the Americans. Overall, I am pretty excited.

Have always really liked both these actors. Rufus Sewell since Dark City and Kery Russell since The Americans. Don’t have high expectations as the trailer didn’t do the show any favors but looking forward to seeing them on screen.

This show was an amazing ride! Hats off to Deborah Cahn! And the entire cast! It made me laugh more than i expected it to, and it also had its fair share of tense and exciting moments! I love shows like these where every character has a depth to them.

"Keri Russell" + "political thriller" = I'm in. Always excited to see the dramatic range she can pull off, one of my favorite actresses since I saw her as Elizabeth Jennings in "The Americans".

If the percentage of Black people in England is only 3% compared to indigenous British people, the do seem to get overrepresented in British films. But then again what can we expect when they portray famous historical characters as black. I will give it a go only because Kerri Russell is in it.

Watch this if you can, it’s well worth your time. A very well written script with a stellar cast to give it substance. This show provides some clever political wrangling that will have you laughing. The twist at the end was something I did not see coming, well done Netflix.

AMAZING SHOW!!! Realistic, keeps you on the edge all the way through and it has truly funny moments. Cast knocked it out of the park. We need more seasons!!

I just finished Episode 3. Smart writing and both Sewell and Russell are at the top of their games! The "incident" in the orchard was hilarious! I've loved Russell even before she was on "The Americans"...

It differs from several crime shows by, of course, it’s storyline but also how it expresses the complex relationship between Keri Russell and Rufus Sewell’s characters; how it shows ordinariness in the lives of high-profile people; and how naturally everything seems to flow.

First with the recruit, then night agent and now this.. Netflix is on bang...

We need the second season of this series! Do us a favor, Netflix and never and ever cancel this show.

Homeland is one of my favorite shows of all-time. Hopefully, this is as great as that one.

I watched this series all in one night. Just couldn't stop it if I wanted too. I was totally intrigued by the story and cast. I'm a big Keri Russell fan and she is great in this. Actually, the entire cast is stellar!! Watch it, you'll love it. Looking forward to season 2!!!!

Ok, an update. I got to episode 6 and knowing that it finished at episode 8 I started watching from the beginning AGAIN, because I did not want it to come to an end it is so good. I have now watched the full season and it is just intelligent, insightful writing, and all the actors just knock it out of the park.

How dare we expect James Bond to continue to be as he was written?? How dare we not accept the much improved and racially adjusted LOTR fan fiction amazon concocted? we must be racists! Why cant we see that a story in english that doesnt have some black character , isnt a story?? LOL..... i dont think i remember the last time i could simply watch a series of western made movies or shows with just regular normal europeans or americans without the interracial or racial card ... we seem them in china, india, russia, serbia, turkey, latin america, asia, austria ... but not western europe and usa .... how dare these countries NOT BE INCLUSIVE like us! They must think they have some identity or something... I did not pay for Netflix to have to listen to profanity. Try eliminating it. Also, the he/she/it girl in a boys haircut and suit is ridiculous-

One of Netflix's greatness seasons possibly, and a huge cliffhanger, can't wait for season 2 next year!

The biggest issue for me about the show is that I expected the main character would be solving problems and get praised for it, but that never happens. The whole show is dealing with a SINGLE case, and it's one problem after another, and the small solutions she does come up with, are basically ignored you get no satisfaction from it. The characters and dialogue is decent, it definitely kept me engaged, but there's not enough enjoyment.

I can’t imagine that those diplomats are allowed to use 4 letter word in their conversation.

A lot of characters seem to be totally out of their mind. But Rufus Sewell? Cool as a cucumber. Like he's in a different show entirely - and somehow wandered onto the wrong set. Just finished season 1, episode 3 - and will watch more.

1:12 He's echoing that feeling many of us had against our parents when we were young ("At times you say I'm still only a child but other times you say I'm already too old for something so which is it?") Lol, can relate with this guy. 😅

Yeah, the cursing, let's go there. Have "modern" writers been given an operational directive to add the word f%$@ into every sentence in order to receive their weekly commission? It's a pandemic of f*** across all shows now it seems that has me wondering if it's the same singular writer for every show on every platform?! The reason I'm confused is that the addition of the word f*** in in various forms adds NOTHING to the "gritty-nous" or "believability" or "Real-ness" of the content. It actually diminishes both the characters, their positions and story drastically and "dumbs" it down to street level which immediately cheapens any attempt at sophisticated plots or dialogue. It has sadly soured my original praise for the acting and drama that stands out in the show.

man the marganilization of the men in 2020s is truely remarkable, especially in this trailer. it is a subject that I would not usually comment on, or care about. but being able to witness certain companies promoting a change in culture and idea over the human civilization is amazing. not only their ideas but also their ability to shove down their ideas to the worker ants of the civilization. i hope to learn who is behind this, why they are doing this and how they are achieving this.

Currently halfway through the show. I was just finished Tehran on Apple TV+ a few days ago and I'm now watching this on Netflix. It's a very nice change of pace. Intelligently written and the thrill is deft in a sense that it's not jaw-dropping "I'm worried for the character" type, but you know the implications are grave moving forward -- and they do it behind seemingly poignant, often funny moments. You laugh, but you know they ain't f*cking around.

Y'all hating on the trailer, but I haven't seen a trailer with a pacing this good in a long time. If the pacing is as good in the real show with keri russell acting, it's going to be pretty amazing

Woooo finally it’s coming out! I worked on this show last summer, so looking forward to seeing it all put together

You’ve probably read all the praise by now but if you want a second opinion, read here. The first 4-5 episodes were occasionally interesting if you could accept the reluctant ambassador acting about as realistic as a drunk elephant in a ballet. Shabby, grubby, surly, foul-mouthed and unnatural. The set is like a woke Noah’s Ark with a special guest appearance by Pee-Wee Herman. If you don’t know the name, Google it. This peculiar character has no other function than showing how inclusive the cast is. Most of the time, the characters who would not be there IRL, pose with an open mouth and an overly dramatic, facial expression to let the viewers know things are dramatic. At times, as is normal with Netflix series, there are completely irrelevant side stories which just make no sense. The surly ambassador who despises her inexplicably faithful (her own words) and wants to divorce him, comes home after a hard day. Hubby has bought a bowler hat which excites her so much she walks straight up to the bedroom, drops her undergarments and then they copulate. Go figure. Hubby, sensing Mrs Ambassador fancies the British foreign minister, a handsome gentleman who looks like Seal (the musician), he decides to get busy with the minister’s bald sister. To seduce her, he procured a joint, which is apparently a definite winner if you want to impress a lady of colour. Isn’t there a word for such stereotypes against people of colour? Oh yes, and the most frequently used word starts with F, has four letters and rhymes with sock. Everybody, everywhere and all the time. I’m sure diplomats swear, too, but this much? Must be a feeble attempt at impressing millennials. Bottom line: Don’t waste your time on this unless you (secretly) loved the Die Hard movies OR have watched every single other title on Netflix.
