comments like this are so ironic cos at the time so many old heads were saying the saying the same thing about the previous decade and hated dipset and the new wave of talent. the truth is there's good and bad in all era's and if you close yourself off from a whole era you're doing yourself a disservice. don't get me wrong I'm the biggest dipset fan. but let's just say for argument's sake you hate all the new trap and drill and autotune stuff (so much of which is awesome), even so how are you going to say hip-hop isn't hip-hop when you have Griselda, roc Marci, Willie the kid, Mach Hommy, da cloth, Rome streetz, cambatta, all the guys alchemist and Muggs work with. the list is endless. cam in my top 5 dead or alive too. people who don't get the whole dipset thing are probably just not lyric writers, or don't understand about complex lyric writing. yeah cam had some surreal, silly bars but that was all part of the package no homo. he was having fun with it. bags of personality. and juelz was so cheeky no homo with the double entendre punchlines - a craze that him and beanie started at around the same time. dipset are so underrated. they had standards for multisyllabic writing that their peers couldn't begin to keep up with, but so many rap fans don't even hear it because they're too busy focusing on the extra shit that don't matter.

I do agree that DipSet had some of the illest production in the game...no one else ever did it like DipSet...that ill track production was what made DipSet tracks so epic.
