After a year and half in the works, The Director’s B-Movie EP is finally here. With a dedication to crafting music that breaks the mold, he cleverly links cinematographic concepts with music production and as a result delivers 5 tracks that already made their way to Tomorrowland, Pacha Ibiza, Fun Radio and in the hands of industry leaders such as Claptone or Dombresky.
Using no computers in the production process, he showcases an extensive knowledge of analog gear, making sure that each track was carefully crafted to sound like nothing else out there ; while still looping ultra-catchy disco samples that are head-bobbing, hip-shaking guaranteed. Mastered at Chab, the Grammy Award winning studio that worked on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories, B-Movie reaches a superior sonic quality that is hard to find in today’s house music scene.
With the intense, fast tempo Phunkymusik, an ode to glorious 90’s club tracks ; the earworm that is Let Me Be Your Energy aka the Daft Punk-iest of the bunch ; Undercranking and its epic, electrifying loop ; Letterbox, the french house blockbuster or the soothing but funky Close-Up, B-Movie is a love letter to those tracks that makes you feel like a movie would.
After making his way to Tomorrowland, Pacha Ibiza, Fun Radio and rubbing shoulders with Industry leaders such as Claptone, Dombresky and Mark Knight, Phunkymusik is already shaking dance floors across the globe. With its catchy loops and fast tempo, 'Phunkymusik' is an ode to late 90’s Disco House tracks, embracing the French Touch sound, and was made with one keyword in mind: Energy. Gradually gaining intensity, the last drop guarantees to make you bob your head.
