Were sitting here in Southern Nevada watching all those beautiful and kind hearted folks give their time, money, food and smiles for the good of this lake. Brandon and Sarah, what a great job, thank you for what you do and the great content you bring every week.
I'm just so proud of you and Brandon for your perseverance in making this clean-up happen yearly. It's SUCH a beautiful thing!!! Just walking around my neighborhood it's disheartening to see the amount of trash people throw on the ground. I do pick it up, but I always feel frustrated wondering WHY it happens.
Wow, this was amazing. “Old man” Jones, & Mrs. Jones, well done!!! Y’all are awesome, as well as everyone else who pitched in. So inspirational…..hopefully, your efforts will be seen by more and more folks who just might get inspired enough to start something like this in their areas. Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend and we’ll see ya next Friday!
WOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Way to go guys!! Love ya ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 If I lived closer I would have loved to have been apart of this. It's an excellent cause and making a huge difference! Git 'r done!
I didn't know anything about the trash problem.. thank you for taking on something so tremendous baby and thank you for actually accomplishing what you set out to do, good job
Wow!wow!Wow! What an amazing project. You guys have accomplished an amazing amount of environmental clean up and leadership. Thank you for doing this work, being leaders in your community. I think this is a model that could be replicated at other lakes. I love those T-shirts.
Great job! I had a floating home and later a Catamaran Cruiser on the Columbia River near Vancouver WA, and I adopted our island, Caterpillar Island and cleaned it every day, walking the beach picking up shards of glass, nails, cans, and literally TONS of trash including homeless camps. The island is only one mile long, and in 1999 the beach was covered in glass. I got it so clean you couldn’t find a single shard of glass on the beach. In 2016 we were kicked out of Washington state for living aboard a houseboat, so we left our beloved island and found a new marina in Oregon that would accept us. It was still worth it, we did good and are happy we did it.
I'm so glad it looks like you had great weather to get that job done. A blessing indeed. Honestly, I live in Washington State, I've always wanted to see Western North Carolina, I may consider taking a trip there incorporating a clean-up day there on the lake next year. Not A Joke! (LOL) It's truly beautiful here in Washington state, (the people, not so much) I would love to also experience the beauty there in WNC. So, I just might see you next year. My kind of people!
Very cool! Question: With all the trash that has gone into the lake over the years, do you have any reservations playing (swimming, skiing, etc) IN it? Is there some kind of water quality testing that's done regularly to give assurance that all is well to go in and take a dip?
What a great way to take action ❤️ well done again guys! Here in Oz we have an annual day that’s been running since 1990 - Clean up Australia Day 🫶 I wish more people took some responsibility for our beautiful planet x
