With the weather looking good I figured it'd be a great day to get out in the field! They were calling for strong NW winds and a nice cold front. The action was very fast paced! I harvested my first few mallards of the year but then we took advantage of some fun groups of GWT.
Ace got his workout in! He picked up 24 out of our 30 birds dealing with extremely muddy conditions. In the video I said I didn't know if he tweaked something, after giving him a thorough check down it was just that he was exhausted from the mucky runs. I don't blame him one bit but I was super proud of him during this hunt and he saved us a lot of work!
