I feel for the brother who is very clearly more pained by his sisters disappearance than her own husband

Wow, the plea for the return of his loving wife was sooo convincing and heartbreaking. Said no one ever.

How he shakes his head 'No' but says we want you back. You can lie but the body speaks for itself.

“I love my wife. Id never hurt my wife.” Said every husband convicted of murdering their wives.

The" baby I want you back so bad " That's a classic one.

The way he talks about the guy who was in prison makes me wonder if he hired him to have someone to point the finger at.

Guy with his funny accent: "It was either foul play or aliens 👾 got her."

Her remains were found today during an unrelated search. I feel so strongly for her family right now. I can’t imagine. At least her family can properly and respectfully put her to rest.

Please cover the Lea Porter case (it’s from the same area). She was a friend of mine, someone confessed to murdering her but her body hasn’t been found... i think a lot of people here would enjoy that one because the whole thing is confusing and stupid (except her brother, he’s amazing)

I really enjoy that usually when Mike has a, "mystery" themed or focused episode, it still feels like a complete story is being told, and the audience doesn't feel robbed as a result of the conclusion being so ambiguous. Other mysteries are pretty bad when it comes to their endings. I just appreciate it, very much. Thanks for doing such a great job.🙂

September 2024: According to CBS Colorado, Linda Stanley, lead prosecutor in the Morphew case, was disbarred *due* *to* *her* *actions* *in* *different* *case* . The reason listed was, “improper statements made to the media which contributed to a ruling to change the venue”.

Wonder how they got Boomhauer from "King of the Hill" to testify.

Barry's plan was using Boomhauer as a stand in for his alibi, confident that the police would never understand a word he says.

A childhood spent in the 90s watching King of the Hill really helped me interpret that interview. Thanks Boomhauer!

UPDATE: As Mike had said, Barry Mophew had been charged and arrested for the first-degree murder of Suzanne as of May 5, 2021. But, as of September 20, 2021 he was released on a $500,000 bond. His trial is scheduled to start on May 3, 2022 and run through early June. New facts regarding the case have also come to light in his 130 page arrest affidavit, which was not unsealed until five months after his arrest, such as: In the affidavit, it states that “Suzanne took clear, articulable steps in January 2020 in attempts to separate from and divorce her husband, Barry. She told her family and close friends about her intentions, secretly recorded her notes of abuse in her phone because Barry monitored it, confronted Barry in arguments that she secretly recorded with help from a friend and finally, sent him a text four days before she disappeared saying that she was “done, let’s handle this civilly.”

Mike has recently taken to saying "I love ya" at the end of his videos and I really like it. Not that I'm taking it personally but, I just feel like it's nice. It reminds me of when I was told to hug my daycare babies because it may be the only positive touch they receive all day.

This is emotionally conflicting. I feel so bad for their daughters. They lost both of their parents. But, it's pretty obvious that they were using a charity as a means to make themselves wealthy. I can never empathize with that part.

I really like that country boy Jeff, who Barry sent to Denver to reinforce his alibi. Barry assumed he was a chump, but he's obviously got some smarts.

What Suzanne's sister said about learning to live with less and being content with what you have are very wise words indeed. My condolences to Suzanne's family and friends upon their loss. May she rest in peace.

Imagine surviving cancer twice only to be murdered by your husband

Barry originally told Police that he was away on a training with his voluntary firefighters' job. The Fire Chief stated that there were no trainings running at the time AND all training for volunteers was on hold because of C19.

Mike is the Bob Ross of true crime. But instead of happy trees, we're all here for the gooo time.

He has now also been charged with "tampering with a deceased body" and "possession of a dangerous weapon". Next court date is 27th May.

UPDATE: Suzanne was found to be having an extramarital affair with someone else for over 2 years. Barry is supposed to have found Suzanne's texts with her supposed lover, and hence what happened, happened.

I’m surprised they lived in a house like that without security cameras. At least a doorbell camera, and one to catch interesting wildlife out there. I feel like they’d be the type of people to have that, but I guess not…. If they did, then can someone let me know what Barry’s excuse was for not providing the footage?
