Yea it does look a lot like furi, the only other one i can think of like this is yuyu kengeki musuo, as well as scarlet curiosity. Though i dont like either of those games very much, they are popular in the fandom and the music is good.
While Nintendo keeps being boring and suing everyone who does a simple mod to their games, ZUN lets people do some masterpieces like this! Seriously, I've just discovered that lostword is a fan game and I'm just fascinated!
The low health beeping sounds like the mission log sound effect from Star Wars: Empire At War... weird thing to bring up here, I know, but I played that game a ton as a kid so I just can't unhear it.
