Maybe if Ryland brings the videos of Shane sexualizng children (like the Willow Smith situation or his videos with his girl-cousin) and babies (the podcast clips where he makes unfunny "jokes" about "sexy" babies) to court, Ryland will get full custody. The ones with the cousin may be enough to convince the judge that he could bring possible harm to family members. Its not like Ryland doesn't know they exist - everything about their relationship really gives willful ignorance to me.
I feel so bad for the twins and surrogate. A couple of years ago TehMimi made a video about how Shane cheated his way to the top, in which she showed Shane's tactics to get more people to watch his videos was to constantly change titles and thumbnails to trick people into rewatching the same videos multiple times bc they'd think it was a new video. It's crazy to me that over a decade later he's still using those dishonest tactics.......
That tactic can certainly be used dishonestly, but I recently saw a video on that topic by F.D Signifier called How to Make it as a Video Essayist that makes it seem legit.

I could definitely be wrong, but I notice the ones that do it are mostly smaller channels, like Professor of Rock, who changes his thumbnails a lot. I don't even know how a huge channel would benefit much from it unless they figure out that they displeased (or just failed to engage) a large enough portion of their fan base. But the way Shame Dawson does it kinda looks like the idea is to make people think it's a whole different video.
I feel qualified to say this as a RU-vid viewer of Shane’s since 2007 at least. I am terrified for his babies as he does not have the capacity to help himself most of the time. It will simply be another exploit perpetuating childhood trauma.
I gotta say, I grew up in an era when moms did all the heavy lifting in family relationships and parenting, and I thought we were moving beyond that. But I see the dynamic here - Ryland will be parenting three babies, not two, and Shane will be useless. I really like that Nick uses his platform to speak about serious issues occurring in the world. In the midst of breaking down some of RU-vid's trashiest videos, he still finds a way to bring in topics which should be discussed more or making people aware of situations which some of these other creators with a cult following SHOULD be doing. I applaud Nick for continuing to educate his audience and for thoroughly knowing his facts before he reports.

When you showed the clip of Shane ripping open a Twinkie with blue frosting and Ryland in a Twinkie outfit in the intro, I totally thought at first that's how Shane was doing a gender reveal for his baby, and how sad it is that it would be on brand for him. But to my dismay and no surprise at all at Shane's inability to entertain, he just wanted to eat a tropical Twinkie.
