The discount store I will not be returning to | Freezer organizing and other small projects 

Amy I do the same, I bake when I have “stuff” going on in my life. When my Dad passed I made loaves of bread, cakes, cookies, doughnuts, etc. I gave away food, to whomever came over to share in our grief. I have bad arthritis and on days when I’m hurting, I bake. I make soup when I'm stressed out. The chopping, the simmering, it's kind of meditative. The house smells wonderful and dinner is a cozy comforting meal with bread or biscuits.

Yes! I have containers like that in my upright freezer! They help so much with organizing. I definitely agree, don't deplete what you have on a pantry challenge.. I call mine that but it's really just trying to use the old stuff up while still buying what I know I will use at the lowest price. Tfs! Love your videos! Blessings!

How wonderful to have a big freezer right near your kitchen! I have to go out to the garage for the freezer.

Growing up my parents had 5 freezer one freezer is for beef and one for chicken and turkey and one for seafood one for pork and one for freezing fruit and vegetables and the kitchen fridge and freezer top of the freezer was use for freezing pizza and ice cream and freezer fruit juices.

I have been wanting to try making those bean dounts so bad !! I Can't wait to get to it ❤

I use different colored baskets in my freezer, red for beef, white for chicken, green for vegetables and so on. They are smaller than the ones you have, so I do have overflow. Also, when I was able to hang out my wash, I would put the towels in the dryer for just a couple of minutes to soften them up. I don’t use fabric softener because they are less absorbent.

When we have an abundance of apples, I will slice apples and sweet potatoes/yams in wedges and cook together. I cook them in a frying pan with butter and sugar. Certainly not the healthiest dish but we enjoy it.

I'm praying for your family.i know how hard it is nott to dwell .We had a fire 2 days before Christmas and still living in a hotel..Than we found out my sister has cancer. Life is ups and downs. When there are downs there will be ups again. So you are not alone it will get better even if it takes a while.

Amy I just have to say Thank You! I am a subscriber and unfortunately haven’t tuned in as much as I’d like but this morning I’m so glad I did! I’m on vacation from my job this week so that I could work on my house that we bought 4 months ago. We downsized from a much larger house and I have had a very hard time unpacking due to limited space. In any case, I have felt very heavy, out of sorts, and almost depressed today. I’ve not had a day like this in a very long time. I was praying for God to help me through this day and I believe He spoke to me through you. I’m in tears as I type this and watch your video. I could’ve chosen so many videos to click on but He led me to you. Thank you Dear Father! Everything you’ve said has spoken to my heart. “Push through” “Focus on God” Thank you so much from one stranger to another. I’m thankful for God fearing woman like you! God bless you!

I just got totes for my chest freezer downstairs. That way all the same meats go in the same tote. That way I send my kids down for something specific meat it is all in the same place.

I like your black board calendar. Our family uses Google calendar. I also uses the reminders and lists apps in iPhone to manage my days. Anything that's not in my calendar or one of these lists just won't happen LOL.

I understand the need for a day of rest. This will be my day tomorrow, Friday. My father was put in a nursing home last week after over 4 weeks in the hospital due to a broke leg/ankle from 2 falls. My mother went into the hospital this week from the stress of the last month with my Dad and lack of care for herself. But Prasie God she is now out of the hospital as of today, Thursday afternoon, and staying with my bother for some extra care and rest till we know what next best for her. So hard to see parents age and their body give out. But I'm hopeful also as I know that once they leave this earth, they will be made perfect and be with God in heaven.
