The DISGUSTING Mistreatment of GWSN Members EXPOSED! 

Incredibly depressing-this group was one of the most promising debuts of 2018.

LOONA and GWSN is my ultimate group because of their music and its really sad to see talented artist like them get used and then neglected by their agency. Coincidentally the members of both group is really close with each others. Hope all of them the best. Who knows maybe they can setup an agency together.

GWSN deserves better.

So sad, GWSN deserved much better, no mistreatment. Too many bad companies in the industry, they will make or break you, no support for the idols who have to stand up for themselves and take lawsuits against them

How can a group with one of the best discographies in actual kpop end up like this? I feel so angry for them, they are so talented and have so much potential. I really wish they can go on to better things together as a group, although it's very unlikely. I just hope they can be ok after all of this.

it's annoying because there aren't many girl groups with gwsn's concept i am not sure what to call it but whilst most girl groups were doing girl crush in 2018 they debuted with a unique concept

They deserve so much better, it upsets me so much knowing all that they've went through. I'm honestly so tired of hearing about idols getting mistreated by certain companies, especially finding out that some of my faves Omega X, Loona, GWSN, etc go through such terrible treatment and something needs to change. These idols work hard and they need proper treatment, respect, and support. I seriously hope the Omega x and Loona situation will be an eye opener to the companies and make them realize that they really need to pay attention to how them and their staffs treat the idols.

wow that is so wrong. I feel so bad for the girls who got criminal records because the company couldn’t/ wouldn’t do their job. I hope they can appeal those charges and have them removed. I am however very happy that Wave was so terrible they didn’t copyright the girls names or group names so they can keep them.

GWSN and Loona really deserved so much better. Phenomenal talent, phenomenal members, discography, production, mvs, aesthetics. I wish them all the best GWSN were my ults :(

This is extremely cruel...a criminal record bse of visa overdue bse the company is careless ..... imagine if they moved to another agency: 2 members would not be back back because of visa records....this is so unfair for them....I wish them success in life

That's why I thank God everyday for Happyface/DC company. The fact they literally changed names for their group and are still supporting them with 3 ~ 2 well produced comebacks per year for 6 years and the members even renewed their contract before the old one expired says a lot. Their growth is super organic and their fanbase dedicated. It's not about the size of the company it's about the ppl running it. The amount of business Men from other industries who think they can just open an agency, get some teens, debut an idol group and make money is astounding.

I hope another company will recruit the girls cause they had so much potential when they debuted. For now let's wish the best for the girls

this is awful :c their music is so good, it was such a breath of fresh air in kpop. I really hope that another company can take them and promote them properly so they can continue to do music together

The fact I haven't heard anything song for the group but still care much about them since they are human At this point maybe it will be better to disband a group if they can't be managed properly than make them work uncomfortable hope the best for GWSN and the members

I loved gwsn I haven't heard of them since 2021 it's sad that the girls had to go through this. They have the talents and looks how can the company not take care of them. They have beautiful voices and that alone could have made them popular. if people these days didn't just go for the big 3 music or idols who have beautiful faces then this girl's would've been big (I'm not insulting the big 3 idols just the companies because the music has honestly been a little bit different for my taste)(and they are idols who become popular for there visuals but they sometimes show that they need a little bit more time to become better) it's my opinion so please don't think it's a fact I'm just saying what I think

That is 100% true..u never know what an idol or idol group gose through until they come out on they own or if its reveal to the public I really wish them the best in the future and hope we will be able to see them on stage again as a group or as an solo artist

I'd said this before and I'm gonna say it again. Idols need to start a labor union! If actors and writers have their own union, heck even musicians in US & UK has their own trade union. Then, S. Korea needs to start one as well considering kpop is already international.

It all comes down the exploitation. When you're a teenager (or close to being one), all you care about is your dream of being an idol. You'll sign anything. And I doubt proper legal representation is made available for the vast majority of these potential idols as a true representative wouldn't allow their clients to sign these literal sweat-shops/child labor companies. You have the bigger companies that can take care of their idols, but there is a lot more in this business than just producing music. You have to spend money to make money, and you need to take care of the talent you have under you - even if that talent might not be what you hoped for. That's the gamble they made, and bigger companies can afford to risk the money. Smaller and Middle companies just can't sink all that investment into an unknown property without extreme luck on their side. That's why I've always wanted the Korea Government to set some laws on what can and can't be put into a contract.... especially when you're having multiple people signing on for YEARS in faith that the company they are under can deliver on their part. When they can't, you have LOONA and GWSN. I think if a company is under a certain financial bracket, they shouldn't be allowed to sign clients in contracts that are seven years long. That's insane. I know they have to make that investment back in training, food, and housing, but that's the chance you make when making a group. I think smaller companies should have smaller contracts like a year or two, with options to renew if the group is showing profit. This takes away some of the danger on the idols themselves, and forces smaller companies to seriously think if they can afford launching a new group. The gamble should ALWAYS be on the company, not the talent they are hiring.

If I was rich I would fund and adopt this group, they are too good to let fizzle out! Very sad about this, esp the CRIMINAL records. It was not the members fault. Hearing they were evicted etc because of poor management is so sad. They had high quality music and M's, a distinct concept and sound. Sending my best wishes to the members. They deserve better.

The fact that the 2 foreign members face penalties and even a criminal record is insanity, I hope something can be done about this now that it was revealed that it was due to the company’s fault. It’s really really unfair and potentially damaging for their careers if they want to continue in Korea.

Damn, my favs didn't deserve that. They are so sweet and have amazing music and the company treat them like some money laundry service. I was really mad at the news that the staff wasn't seeing the money, specially since I, as a fan spent money on albums etc to support them. Hopefully they can get justice and be successful in their paths.

I'm so sad like loona is one of my ult groups and they are also going through something similar like this, omegax one of my semi ult groups just went through this kind of and they made it out luckily, and gwsn who is also another one of my semi ult groups is going through this and it's just so hard to see my fav groups going through this:c

The fact that wave didn't even give them a single cent, let alone a fraction of a cent, is down right bad, obviously, as mentioned. These ladies and the producer working with them deserve better, as well, along with whoever else was in that company besides GWSN. Wave deserves to be defunct and shutdown. They also deserve to get sued in south Korea if things get even more worse. I wish the best for GWSN and curious on what path is next for them.

It's not just the small companies. Remember Aespa and their terrible mistreatment by their own company, after being abu!!ed by all these little rich monsters at that school? Would they dare do something against SM, for hanging them up to dry and gaslighted them after? Don't think so! People can only do something against smaller companies, with less power. Barely.
