curious how you guys recovered your vehicles? I live in grand county and would love to do this ride but i am assuming you shuttled? cant imagine that would be much of a fun pedal back to the top of the ears from the resort or maybe it is doable? would like to plan to do it this fall potentially
We rode this as a shuttle, and it was a big enough day without pedaling back to the cars! You can also do this ride and descend more adventurous backcountry trails into town - like Fish Creek Falls. Tho it looks brutal to me!
Sorry I missed this comment! How was your ride? (Assuming you already hit it? ) The trails weren't too difficult to find, especially with an app like trailforks or mtb project. But its not crystal. It was a long day, and wore me out pretty good. The backcountry segments are almost all climbing or cross country. The DH doesn't start till you hit the resort, so it can feel like a long day. But totally worth it. So pretty back there!
