It's worth noting that with this setup, if you watch the seeker cooldown counter, the seekers come back every 4 seconds, not the full 10 seconds. This is because Feedback Loop starts when you throw the FIRST seeker. In addition, because of the hardwired chest piece, every seeker after the first one comes back with 25% extra damage. This is all still viable post TU9. However, The Send-Off will not proc because you need to leave cover to pull out the shield, which ends the buff from P. Rooted. Unless there's a slight delay before the buff is lost? giving a player time to get back into cover after activating the shield? So as far as I can calculate, Surge(25%) + Hardwired Chest(25%) + Wyvern (10%) + China Light(10%) + Skill Dmg attributes (6x10%) + Demolitionist/Technician (10%)= 140% skilll damage
How u are near 32k subs is beyond me!!! The amount u do snd the builds u put out are crazy good. I wish more people would check yr vids and sub because u deserve it most!never left us down and feed is crap. Yr one of the best div content creators out here man. Good job brother👊
C J no doubt rest are usually click bait artist or showing stuff everyone already knows or they find something out in the raid & say this is the best way to beat the raid & they only have like 10 clears & the vid is never best way 😂 Pat always puts thought into the builds & explains I always check his vids & he actually has a lot & most of them are not just good but best. Pat tries everything out witch I always appreciate ✌🏼
I put together a HW build using the Named Gila mask that gives 100% Pulse Haste, this gives me an 8 second Cooldown, in which I can send out my Seekers. This works surprisingly well in a 4 man group in the DZ, as I’m giving my team mates a 100% up time pulse, and constant utility of Seekers
Just a quick add in. I have used the stinger or artificier hive with the cluster. You simple throw the seeker, put the hive down, throw another, pick the hive up and down it goes again, rinse and repeat. The stinger is good since it seems to bypass armor on tanks. Clusters are really ineffective against any heavies.
You can use the stinger mine to get the same results as shield because you can recover it. Different is you can use the stingers for damage. Also if you go with the tactician it has 10% skill damage and also gives you a sill skill point. So you can have one of your armor sets spec into armor and still have tier 6 skills with more survivability.
This use of Hardwire and shield was a secret for me! WOW! Thank you bro! This is exactly why I watch all your videos. This is the first time I have enjoyed running any mission with my Hardwire skill build. A weekend of farming better pieces lay ahead!! YOU ROCK!
Very nice! Finally others talking about hard-wired + shield combos. I posted about this combo a few days ago in reddit and people didn't understand it all. It's by far the best method to do a hard-wired seekers build, with the hive being an alternative. In my build I did the following adjustements (just for alternate game styles, for glass cannon your build is perfect): - I use the technician specialization instead of demolitionist. It gives 10% skill damage instead of explosive damage, but it also gives a free skill tier and your skills are harder to disrupt. - I use a spotter china chest instead of the hard-wired one. With the laser pointer from tech specialization, it gives me spotter on pulsed targets which gets applied to BOTH skills and weapon damage. So it seems to me like a very good trade-off. Just make sure you point and mark priority targets; - Damage to armor is currently getting applied to the seeker damage. So I use an M1A with damage to armor and spike; - Because of DtA, I also use a Contractor's Glove (red attribute), giving 15% weapon damage "free", plus the damage to armor that also gets applied to both the m1a and the seekers. All that together I get a pretty good hybrid build that does the majority of its damage through skills but doesn't rely ONLY on skills for damage. The M1A with +15% from spotter, +15% weapon dmg and + 11% damage to armor (which is multiplactive) hits pretty hard, specially in the head. And with all NPCs trying to dodge your seekers they are really easy targets. This is my main heroic solo build for now. Congrats on the video.
I tested it in comparison to the build I used with seeker mines and stinger hive. At first I was impressed, but playing it, I disliked it. Maybe it's the way I play, but I prefer to stay in cover and throw nades at enemies. With the shield I always get out of cover. Besides that, the shield for sure is a bit tanky, but I miss some more damage potential. I figured out playing it with the stinger hive and seeker mines it's perfect for me. 1. I can stay in cover 2. I can cover seperate areas to prevent enemies to attack me 3. I can time throwing the hive as well as using the shield, so whenever the hive is a) destroyed by me or b) running out of ammo, it resets my mines 4. exploding mines reset my hive, so I can throw the hive again. Only with one or two ammo, but that will cause extra damage and will run out quickly, so that my mines are back again So...... the shield's not mine, but thanks to you I have the perfect build for my play style with my good ol' mines and the hive. Thanks!
You should try this except change all yellow mods to skill repair and use the mender hive, every 10 seconds you just pick up/put down the hive to reset seekers, or destroy it if you're not close enough to grab it. Works great for being a combat medic and you aren't nearly as squishy. You can use a gun with Reformation for even more skill repair. I've saved my teammates and my own ass so much with this.
I was using the oxidizer. It works great with seekers. It helps with damage and getting NPCs out of cover. Can double up puddles on dodgers, with the right spacing it makes them roll back and forth between the 2 until they melt. But skill builds seem really weak compared to even tanky dot builds atm. It is fun every once in a while but needs buffed. Maybe add 2 sticky seekers with a dot? Or Molotov seekers? I'll try this out for for the panic squishyness of not having armor, ty.
You can use the healer hive instead of the shield as well. Just don´t forget to pick the hive up before launching the mines. It´s a very nice combination if you are playing PVE in a team. Damage -> heal everyone -> damage -> ...
I use a nightwatcher with a Impulse on a 6 second cooldown because of the mask effect. Its the same result on the mines but i think the Impulse gives u more utility. U CAN See where enemies stands and throw ur seekers more accurate and hide better.
this is also my primary seeker mine build.. but I also use "explosive delivery" chest with hardwire set with Stinger Hive and Seeker mine skills for narrow field... now I am just throwing grenades nonstop & blowing crap up. you have to be a bit aggressive in terms of positioning yourself.. but man.. it's amazing.
…… but youre literally throwing a seeker every 10 seconds. Now you complain the npc can dodge it? Seekers are designed to clear out reds and some purples. If the dude is yellow, then you need to use tactics to hit him.
Been using this two weeks now and its superior! Group play is weird because players seems to think it glitching and they get all weird on me. They don't understand how HardWired works. Maybe this will change that! Cheers!
I prefer to use a Hive instead of a Shield. The Shield like you said, makes me get out of cover, the Hive you just double tap to drop it and pick it back up. I usually choose the Healer Hive to help dish out some heals while waiting for the 10 seconds.
I'm running 3 china light, 2 Hana-U and 1 Wyvern. My china light chest is named and has perfect glass cannon on it. My Wyvern (I believe that's the brand) backpack is named as well and has perfect shock and awe which is amazing. Send off is awesome and you don't need it in hand. It's a holstered talent while I use the surge for perfect spike. I just started playing this game a month ago (took a long break after putting in so many hours on DIV 1) and I found this build easy to farm and I'm already doing heroic content. I went through the entire experience. I didn't use the level 30 token. Such a great game.
I recommend healer or reviver hive (drop and pick-up method every 10secs). You wont need to leave cover and gives you massive support on your team as well. Lets be real, shield doesnt help you or your team mate in any situations starting from challenging to legendary difficulties..its been like this since WONY launch. Goodluck!
Patrick doesn't really mention it in the video. But you don't have to have the send off in your hands to proc perfectly rooted. It's passive ability that procs even if you're holding your surge. I actually have a build that uses the sniper or mortar turrent with the skilled talent to refresh my seekers. This lets me use brands that give skill damage and explosive damage. I use the send of and surge and a force multiplier backpack to boost damage. But I might have to try this. Since I haven't seen the shield combo with hardwired.
not only that, seeker mines also force the enemy to run out, making them easier target to your team. HW is in good spot right now, along with TP sets, and let's hope ubi don't have funny ideas about those.
My new favorite build is Hardwired/Blinder Fly/ Firewall shield/Imperial Dynasty and Pyromaniac. You can lock everything down and Torch it at your leisure. The cool down breaks and that sucks but it only happens like once a mission.
I'd love to start seeing more endrun stats thrown into these build comparisons. Could you try running a map 3 times and averaging your total damage outputs. I feel this may end up being a much better comparison than simple dps on targets. This could also allow you to look into faction specific loadouts and comparing dps, skill, shield, healer builds.
You may need to find a way to equalize damage and outgoing/incoming healing to somehow compare tanks and glass canons. I'm not sure is 3 runs will even be enough to average these numbers.
I use sniper turret with my seekers. It's nice to have that thing shooting, finishing enemies off for me. It may not be the smartest build or whatever, but I'm playing for fun, and watching enemies get deleted by a sniper shot every time I hit 'Q' never gets old. Also helps chip away at heavy's armor. And with the skills always getting reset with HW and my chest perk (the 25% chance to reset skill perk) I'm able to deal with heavies. I'm vulnerable though without much defense or using the heal/revive hive, but I just gotta play smart and the sniper watches my back and will stun enemies enough for me to run.
This is how green sets should feel. They are supposed to be a more powerful version of everything else. Works with the hive as well, drop it and pick it up. I use it with the stingers for extra damage and more of a defense if something gets too close. Hive refill is fast enough that it doesn't really mess up spamming the seeker mines. You can also use this with the res hive. Instead of a few minutes cooldown you can refill it in 10 seconds. So you can be a true healer. If ally is down, have them kill themselves and you use the res hive on them. It's much faster to res this way.
Just tried the build on a Level 4 Control Point I had trouble with the rushers at first so i switched to Dark Winter. This helped keep some enemies in place for the mines. Thanks for sharing man! Your build template vidz have been a great help!
I run a similar build with skill damage everywhere. I run seekers and a stinger hive. I toss my seekers and set my hive down next to me as crowd control. When HW procs, i pick up hive and set it right back down, toss seekers again. I do run some skill haste. Skill haste works on top of hardwired. My cool down is about 8 seconds.
I think since the Update that Shotgun is the only weapon in the game that the talent is active while Holstered, so as long as it’s equipped it doesn’t have to be drawn & you still get the benefits of Perfectly Rooted
I run mine with technician (+10% skill dmg) and the articifer hive. Just drop the hive on the ground and pick it up to proc hardwired. Significantly faster and doesn't pull you out of cover. I also run skilled on the chest and get a 25% chance to get the seekers back immediately and still get 20% dmg on a wyvern with perfect attribute.
After they fixed hard wire, i was testing this build out versus using technician spec, and I'm using the artificer hive and just pick it up. It occasionally buffs the seeker mines and sometimes procs on cooldown and brings the seeker mines up faster than the 10 seconds. So you could potentially have 1 free
I use this build, but I use the healer hive. Pick it up and drop it... use heal ur team and have ur 10 seconds seekers. And the send off activates with out pulling it out. Like the chatterbox u dont need to switch yo it. So I always use surge and also the rooted skill will just auto active while in cover after the cd resets. With this build I'm keeping up with pure gun dps builds while healing them too. Skill damage and everything else rolled for skill healing and mods too. Like u said. Zero skill haste.
I prefer using the technician specialist cuz you can get a free 1+ skill tier so i can use 1 for red damage tier. And another 10% skill damage from the tree branch. But the extra explosive damage from the demolitionist sounds appealing too. Might check that out.
Hive also procs it If you double tap it you drop it under you and pick it up later again and you can run with every hive variety so unlimited ress is a possibility while spamming seekers
Just food for thought instead of hard wired chest or a glass cannon skill tier piece what about a skill tier chest with the 25% chance to reset skills with skill kills.. then its resetting every 10 seconds and possibly even faster. Sometimes .y seeker mines reset themselves with that talent on my seeker mine sniper turret build
Gino Torres that skill is really good. Sometimes it’s like non stop seekers and then sometimes it doesn’t proc. If you run sniper turret as well it’s on a 10 second cool down for me so I get a lot of chest procs off that.
@@ImGinormous Exactly what im using right now. The hive tactic or shield might be a little faster but you lose skill damage cuz you're not using a lethal skill. The Sniper turret is pretty OP if you can max it out on skill lvl and use any skill talents buffs. Good for longer and short range with stagger for those rushers. With low health thats pretty handy. 25% skill reset works about 7/10 times with either the seekers cuz you have 10 mines or using the sniper, without a second lethal it would be less. BTW The sniper turret will auto-aim at Theo Parnell in his boss mission.
I mentioned the send-off /Surge combo here when you first dropped the HW build. Glad to see you using it. I didn't consider the shield usage and thats a very good addition to the build. I had been using the turret but that shield swap is better. Thanks Patrick!
The problem with this build is that it's to unreliable its just inconsistent because the backpack talent are bugged as hell. More than half the time thet don't work.
I use the 4 piece with a Providence chest with the Overwatch talent and Perfect Shock and Awe on a Providence backpack, with Mortar & Stinger hive. Wrecks Legendary BT, keeps them running and performing gymnastics, which means they're shooting at us less. I'm always in cover and its great for support buffs. Stinger is great for rushers and dropping/picking up to keep my mortar up.
one thing i saw is someone was using the chest talent where theres a 25% chance to get skill cooldowns when you get a skill kill with a sniper turret and spamming mines that way
Thank you very much, after quite some time it is very interesting video (from any and all The Division 2 creators) from which I learned something new. Just thinking - Technician gives you +10% skill damage + you can pair it with his pistol with perfect spike.
id swap the chest for a china light with 10% skill dmg tech and whatever in last spot with glasscannon talent, Gives u damage for ur main weapons aswell as ur skills, also go for tech specialisation for more dmg vs robots, and 10% skill dmg
@Patrick, all Gear Sets are broken what is broken on them is the baclpack talent, so swapping your mask back and forth fixes that...remember you are playing a Massive/Ubisoft game, but dont call it an exploit or glitch as theae incompetent fraks will ban you for their incompetence
I've played this build and felt it was still to slow throwing the seeker waiting for detonation pulling the shield up and down and throwing again. I also found myself pulling the shield too early then having to wait for that 1-2 second cool down pull it back up and get the feedback loop going. Occasionally the shield would be broken and I would sit there useless for the full 20-25 sec cool down.
Yeah, it's not like any build is perfect, but just a few things I do: by using technician skill tree you can avoid many disruptions with losing that much. It also gives you alternatives in terms of using spotter and a free skill tier. As for throwing the seekers, you only have to do it to start combat or when NPCs are too far away. After enganing combat and with npcs nearby you can just use the skill button that they will automatically engage enemies. This saves time in important situations.
Just adding to the comments of people’s different tactics. If I’m facing black tusk I always use pulse emp you pulse the seeker yea bit of a wait but sometimes you can get them back within 10 seconds and if you’re doing any level with drones pew they gooooone even war dogs you can beat them down quick. Works for me anyway
Heres a fun way run four piece with back pack skill dmg demo spec run china light chest glass cannon and nightwatcher mask pulses every 10 seconds so use seekers than pulse rinse repeat also you could run pulsed instead so you do 10% less but you dont take more dmg. I run a similar setup for fire fly it can not keep up i literallythrow it out that pulse i barely have time to shoot.
The issue I have with most skills is that they are pretty ineffective against anything above a red enemy. They just step out of range of your mines or they go off before they hit the enemy. I'm running a skill build because I got bored with my shield/rifle lulz heroic solo runs but trying to kill yellow heavies and named is near impossible.
You can try this same build, except instead of a Shield, use the Scanner Pulse and Nightwatcher mask with Skill tier on it. Should be around 6sec cd for Pulse, so pulse will get off cool down at the same time HW 10 sec is up. If you do it this way, you can use a China Light chest piece with skill damage and spotter, or with glass cannon since you should never have to leave cover.
I've known about this for weeks and I run a shield with a revive hive sometimes Btw if you wanna do this then remember to stand still after being revived because you gain invincibility and that gives you just enough time to pull out your shield and get another revive
Hi there! Great video men! Very good. Thanks for the tips on this set. One thing I am not getting though is that when I craft my Send Off it only has one talent, that is perfect distance. How do I get one with perfectly rooted?
I do this but with the stinger hive just drop it next to you to to refresh your seekers. Pick it back up and set it down again. It's nice cuz it protects me from rushers. Also have the btsu gloves so I can blow up my hive to get overcharge to me and teammates. Also use technician so I can have one piece as armour for a bit of survivability. So many ways to do it, but this works nice for me. Cheers
im hitting almost 3 mil per seeker , while getting additonal dmg from drone that has 13 sec cooldown so every other seeker deploy im getting good support and dmg while seeker cools. im not even running overcharge or demolishon spec, nor is my armor optimzed at all. so im pretty sure i can ramp that number up quite a lot still and still have drone support or support from another skill every other deploy
Chest with "explosive delivery" talent + hardwire 4pc set including backpack... Stinger Hive + Seeker mine.... this is what you call dmg. once the initial hive runs out (so you don't have to cancel the hive)... you can throw the hide every 3~4 sec. The hardwire set loop is ready to proc while the hive is in the air and proc when the hive lands and seeker mines comes back. the build is amazing in compact area where pulse is not needed. otherwise I run similar build with pulse instead of shield.
Patrick, I love to use the stinger or healer hive to proc the seekers too! Stinger to stop npc approaching me in cover or healer to support my team. Situational course 😁😁😁👍👍 And that regenerates in couple seconds without leaving cover. Definitely surge too sure.
It's unfortunate that TU9 removed the perfectly rooted talent off the Send Off. Great info on the hard wired equipment because that is what I'm running.
been saying "use the shield" since your first video lol nice. however tech is better then demo due to the fact that 10 percent skill damage is 10 percent explosives damage in regards to the seeker mines, plus you can run a blue for armor or a red for weapon damage and squeeze a bit more out of the build.
I'm using the crossbow and the sniper turret is always deployed after it disapears, problem is damage on sniper is low can't find a higher gear mod why is this? Oh and I'm using hard wired with a different backpack that gives me extra incinerator grenades.
I run hive and Seeker, throw seekers, identifies where the enemy is and get them out of cover, 5 seconds later, drop hive, resets Seeker, throw Seeker and rinse and repeat. Most of the time enemies run away when I drop the hive. I use the same specialisation but I use wave form and a China piece.
good stuff. I've been running this with BTSU gloves and Hive. in group the healing is more valuable than a. 02 second shield swap. can puttem out as fast as you 10 secs. can cancel Hive and OC the mines e 120 seconds, have future perfect on a weapon and OC again before or after BTSU OC. so technically, OC happens 2x as often as 120 sec cool down from gloves, and 2x as often as future perfect weapon talent cool down. that's how I run it. been doing well so far. healing a group, as NOONE running CC or dmg builds likes to run a hive... pisses me off.... can run one with future perfect on your weapon with your dmg and be just as good a healer for yourself as being skill tier 3+. ugh.... but yeah hive and seekers for group. tip - seems in sync on one weapon works better than headshotting with surge, BTSU dog tanks don't have a head :/..... I run in sync and future perfect.
Try using chem launcher heals, wait 10 sec heal yourself, you have quite a few with 6 skill tier and the your seekers are back. This way you offer alot to a 2man team, your mate being dps.
Try swapping you knee pads and chest piece. Hardwire knee pads and China Light chest piece with Skill DMG & Haste, and the "Skilled" talent (25% per skill kill to reset CDs).
What's the best way to use the seeker mines; the shield, the stinger hive or a turret with the skilled talent? Also, are the BTSU gloves worth using with Hardwired in solo?
Subbed. Seen some of your content and I appreciate how you take the time to explain things. Your shield build you came out with before definitely helped out alot. Actually put vigilence on the backpack for the pistol to hit harder while having the shield. Not sure if using glass Cannon over perfect vanguard to hit harder would be a good idea. Anyways awesome video!
Tested and feel the shield still works better IMO the hive was not working for me. I tired to use the healing hive and wouldnt reset skill as often as shield does. May have been a glitch or something on my end but I couldnt get the hive to proc the seekers as often
@@ifoundalice9731 But it shouldn't be a bug, the damn devs said they fixed it but here it is still pausing short circuit. they need to ACTUALLY fix short circuit, it doesn't proc with certain skills like its suppose to, for instance sticky bomb procs but it doesn't actually reset the other skill, but the short circuit goes on cool down like it proc'd so....
Try the EMP Pulse or blinder firefly for Black tusk. Its a lot easier cuz the healer boxes will be destroyed and the healers cant deploy another one, and robotics will be disabled for a time. The firefly will prevent the rushers from getting you out of cover.
They H/W build setup that I use is a healer crowd control setup i use the healer hive with the flash drone I can keep people blinded for for 16 seconds I get my flash back in ten so i can i just re flash everybody again I also use the btsu gloves so I can reset anybody's skill mostly revive hives if they use them
You should run status effect on all your gear items. Guys I run with are getting 24 seconds on their blinder firefly. It's how we got through all the legendary missions.
Unless my game is broken... i run skilled for chest and creeping death backpack... then 4 HW with seeker and stinger... try it you’ll be surprised. Throw seeker then throw stingers the seekers comeback. I do cancel the stingers to get my seeker back too
Hi Patrick I saw this video a few hours ago and the thing that amazed me is the shotgun, that is still there but it is with only one talent. Did he have 2 talents before? or maybe that talent comes in another way. Thanks in advance
I use healer hive cause since i'm going to be in cover anyways, I can pick it back up after placing it down and heal myself or teammates at the same time. Also with the BTSU glove I can do overcharge when I destroy my hive.
Hey, Wolf. Great video as usual. Wouldn't duration help with the seekers hunting down enemies? Seems like they often just stop chasing after a bit, which I think may be due to their duration. I have to test it on my HW build and see how it feels. BTW that shield tip is clutch! Great stuff!
I use a wyvern with my chest and skilled and sniper turret. Sometimes I get them 6 times in a row while still having my turret up. If not I deconstruct my turret throw them again my turret only had a ten second cool down so by the time I throw them my turret is pretty much ready to go
I was using it that way, but find out that toxic or fire canister works the same (as the shield) when shooting one ammo. Its like shield on off but having more dmg.. give it a try
The only problem I have is it takes me out of cover when I equip shield then I have to jump back into cover for the shotgun to give me extra dmg. Im kind of thinking maybe a hive may also work - as you can pick those back up? This is awesome though and Im chucking the seekers out at a huge pace. Thanks as always
The only weak point on skill damage based builds are the juggernauts, the fucking fat guys that can distract you from killing other npcs so they can rush you and melt you
SrFrodo XD another weak point is that whilst they are fun, even with HW updated now, it still doesn't output anywhere near the dps of a focus rifle build
@@sedb6967 In a raw numbers comparison for sure. But this build fills a different role - crowd control. Better for this build to scatter enemies out of cover and nuke the reds and purples. Then the pure dps builds can double tap the yellows out of existence.
Sometimes when I use DPS, I ask my self, "is my play style worth it?", my conscience hurts cos I aint using skill, but when I'm using skill build I feel whole. I got like 4-5 skill builds in my loadout, the rest are just miscellaneous!
You hit the nail on the head, I have dps build as well, and asked myself "is this why I bought the game? No." I fell in love in with this game cuz of the skills, the weapons are secondary
I try getting repair skills and skill damage rolls on my gear and I run restorer hive just sit behind cover place hive throw seekers then pick it back up that way I can heal my team and cc with 3.080mill seekers also I throw seekers far ahead before getting to combat area then when I reach cover drop heals and throw out another 10 seekers I also use it running swarm too 900mill skill damage in a mission 👌
