On Black Friday, a smallpox pandemic (transmitted by a virus planted onto banknotes), sweeps through cities across the U.S. causing the United States Government to collapse in five days; basic services fail and without access to food or water, the country quickly descends into chaos.[9] The player is part of the Strategic Homeland Division (SHD), or "The Division" for short-a classified stay-behind force of self-supported tactical agents. Leading seemingly ordinary lives, SHD agents are trained to operate independently of command when all else fails. This group is established to combat the threat brought about by the outbreak and are given direct authority by the President of the United States to do whatever it takes to prevent the fall of society, piece the city back together and "save what remains".
The Division is a really tough game to edit. The story and setting are interesting in my opinion, but the execution is mediocre. The game itself is fun, especially with friends but the mission design is lackluster. The missions are bland and feel the largely the same. Your higher ups send you off to fix a problem that no one else can fix, and you'll shoot waves and waves of enemies. I decided to make the best possible game movie I had to cut off all the fat. This is a real lean version, but we think this makes the best possible game movie. If you're looking for a wonderful single player experience, this is not it. If you're looking to have fun with friends, this game has a lot of potential.
