Hey Marco just wanted to add something for you if someone else haven't already, even though the modifications don't work with this set the shape that the modifications gives to the shield does, the best one is the Reactive Targeting mod as it gives small wings to the shield that protect your arms a bit more from getting hit while you are shooting, i know it is a small thing but as a D3 player you notices things like this

Perfect timing! I don't have the 6pc D3-FNC classified yet. Almost there with 4 D3-FNC and 2 Predators Mark. I went into the DZ with friends and found that my shield lasted, at most, 5 seconds. Your video helped me understand where most of the fail happened. I'm a new player, so all of your videos are so helpful! Thanks!

this is the build i been running, lots of crib, sooo nice. i love being a tank especially in pie, i love grabbing all the threat and strategically positioning npc's into kill zones or to expose weak points. vicious is great with shield, especially when you lean more towards crib chance and dmg

playing on ps4 and actually running 6 piece classified pred and ignored all the D3FNC - classified set pieces. I didn't destroy them but didn't pay much attention when I got some in the GE-Caches. I put them directly in the stash. I usually hate playing tanky but the Video showed how essential sometimes it is to have at least one real tank in a group. Considering now to go farming to have my D3-Set full. Thx for the Video Marco !

Hey Marco, I know exactly what your talking about. I put together the 6 piece D3 build yesterday and I love it. I can clear any landmark face tanking everything. I never have to use cover. Even DZ 7,8,9 are no problem solo. I love this build now. The only difference is I use crit hit chance stamina mods so I hit even harder. And I put reload speed on my holster so I can reload my smg quicker while face tanking.

This is exactly the build I'm working towards right now. Hopefully I'll be able to get it optimized like this one day

I run a similar build for PvE, but with EAD and DTE instead of Health and Crit Damage, but the 40% skillhaste is there to help me out with flashbang sticky. It's practically the same but with EAD and DTE.

This is fucking rad. Ivr always loved shield builds but this is just epic.

Yo marco! I liked this vid alot, i have ran D3 in pvp for three patches now and everyone hates it, i have my D3 hitting 41% damage resilience and when people aren't shooting my shield and are shooting me they do almost no damage unless they are running striker! It's great i am able to tank so many players at once even if they are running pred!

He finally made it! Hip hip hooray! Amazing content, by the way. Quick tip to any shield users: Face any grenades thrown at you with the shield to make it absorb the effects. It even works for some of the more odd grenades, though it does not work on all of the grenades. (Still waiting on that highest possible rpm vid tho (jk))

Great video Marco! Think this might finally convince my dad to run a shield build over firecrest! With the changes to stamina and how strong tanky builds and the new sets are in 1.8. How do you think they could rework old sets like DeadEye and the like to be on par and actually viable in 1.8 pvp?

Finally completed this set and am now optimizing it. Definitely more tanky than my Lone Star, but doesn't do as much damage. I still need to iron out a few things with it I think.

When I used to play, I entered to last stand matches, with my D3FNC build, I got 1st place on my team, winning or loosing, is an awesome build, and as a tank you deal not too much damage but a shield really scares a player.

I was converted the second I was able to exchange melee blows with a hunter in the Underground. The Division at 1.8 is OUTSTANDING.

In the video you mentioned you rolled stamina on the backpack, but it was actually firearms. Wondering which do you actually use? The downloadable picture has stamina in it as well. Also the gloves are reversed from what is shown in the video as well compared to the picture.

Great video I always take your tips and I was wondering how to make this build better before classified I had nomand and this with predatory so I just rocked on healing myself the whole time but since this patch came out its just not working for me so IMA check out the 6 piece since I just got it.

Jesus! This build reminds me of Kevin Bacon's character in X-Men: First Class, just absorbing the energy from the frag grenade and annihilating everyone.

A classified D3 build is my go-to gearset for the DZ now when playing solo... FAR more survivability than with a Nomad gearset... I can just stroll into a landmark solo and feel confident that I will clear it, no problem, even with multiple Incinerators...

Awesome vid as always marco, some question on the skill cap for the shield build.... you mention that the cap is 125k skill power to get 2.35mil hp on the shield, but mine already reach 2.35mil with just 121k skill power...... is it correct ?? im playing on ps4 btw ....

I like your video and I have also liked 2 play D3, however with 1.8 something is changed in pvp, so eventhough my shield healt is doubled, the lifetime in pvp is halfed, the shield dies so fast now if you don't have a healer... So I have given up on the D3 and started running firecrest instead, but nice video

Hi Marco. As ever, great video, as with all your build videos. Could I ask, though, that you do some non-gearset builds (i.e. 4 piece, or Ninja-biker backpack hybrids), as I suspect not all your audience have managed to get 6 piece gearset builds. It would be interesting to get your take on them, especially the facts / figures behind them. I appreciate that the combinations for 2 x 2 piece and a 4 piece (with ninja-pack) are large in number, though, so perhaps also a bit of "don't recommend this because...." and then go into the builds. So would 3 shields and a healer make for an impenetrable group? As in, would the buffs stack of each player took enough dmg around the same time?

i just bought the division(late to the party i know), due to the fact that i dont know if my system could even run it (surprisingly it does) i hate myself for getting the game at its final stages and the game feels empty, but yet i enjoy doing the mission in solo. i manage to rank up to 18 few days ago, but i decided to create a new character, i never use the riot shield before, now after wanting to rush my playthrough i decided to use the riot shield with a skill cool down build and feels like a train hitting the enemy. this game is stupid fun. cant wait for division 2.

This is nice and all but how do you guys get these kind of equipment? What do you suggest on low level shield builds? My highest leveled character is 25 and the other character is 5. Any good farming levels?
