With The Division 2 so close to being launched I’m seeing a lot of questions in the community from people new to the franchise, wanting to know what they’ve missed from the story from The Division 1.
As a bit of a catch up for myself and anyone else interested in this side of the game, this video will be about wrapping up the story we’ve experienced so far, before we start digging into The Division 2.
Already confirmed is that a number of character stories will be continuing into the sequel. I won’t be going into particular detail on any of these stories, but I’ll give reference at the end of the video if you’d like to learn more. This will be a purely top level view of the story, to bring us up to speed.

This game has such an enthralling lore. I kept going through the lore videos. I thought the Division was an online shooting game until I saw the lore. My God, such a complex conspiracy. 1. A secret government vigilante group. 2. A genocidal environmentalist. 3. A cult of city maintenance workers. 4. Large jingoist PMC forces. 5. Escaped convicts united. 6. A delusional Rogue Agent. 7. Mysterious stalkers in the Dark Zone. 8. In-game conspiracy theorists theorizing conspiracies. 9. A genetically engineered plague.

are the stalkers the hunters we get the masks from, please? I have not been to a DZ yet, so makes sense then as I haven't seen one yet. I really want to hunt them for their masks though. do you have to do PvP in the DZ as well or can it be turned off? I'm playing TD2 BTW.

It's insane going from division 1 the environment was amazing. Sick and dying people everywhere. The cell phones you could pick up were actually heart breaking . And you really get a grasp for how bad everything is once you get Washington DC civillian life is essentially gone. The city is completely over grown. Very well captured. I get a I am legends vibe in the second one

I made the mistake of only playing TD1’s demo, and not the full game. I bought TD2 so I missed a bit. Thankfully for your channel, I watched a few lore videos and was all caught up. Appreciate it.

@@TD04_Trav As an update, I've been playing since Tuesday night. I'm level 21 with about 30 hours. I'm just taking my time and enjoying it. It does throw a lot at you, but I've been learning as I go along and watching youtube videos for tips. It doesn't seem all that complicated.

I will never understand people who jump into a franchise after the second game... It's not like the game isn't still out there, could just pick it up. Its funny me and my cousin who have grown up gaming together are completely at odds on this one very thing lol. I wouldnt join aaron. He would. I look at the situation of the storyline and the bullshit that the division agents were put through and left to die and dont see that as justification for literally tearing the division apart and making good agents pick a side. Good agents forced to cut communications regardless of what side they picked...what about THEM being left alone to die? Aaron Keener has disavowed the division... He must die.

@@BornBrothers I think the main thing causing me to side with Aaron is the fact that I roleplay my character as this person who wouldn't abandon the people. When he finds the echo that shows the government abandoning the citizens while Aaron stays with them to try and save them, that would be his turning point. Everything you said is of course true, and I myself wouldn't join him.

i hightly reccomend if you are new to the franchie and you can afford to buy both Division 1 and Division 2, do it, all start at theDivision 1 and the history is so good and different from Division 2, you will feel and understand all better
