Dude, everytime I watch one of your videos, I get motivated. I've been in a creative rut for quite a while. Thanks for the inspiration and the awesome demolition vid. Keep them coming.
Ok, you got me all fired up to fly my Avata - it has been sitting in the closet for a few months - but after watching your Avata video, I want to go have fun again! They are doing some construction around where I live, so I think I'll go fly the construction. Thanks for the reminder of what a great drone the Avata is! One question, have you ever flown into one of those buildings, and then lost control of the drone? I'm not sure how to set my Avata for this situation. You definitely would not want it to rise up to RTH from inside a building, so I'm guessing set it to "hold"? Then try to get closer where you have control of it again?
Hi Billy, any videos for editing this kind of footage with speed ramps? is there a certain way to fly for editing later? I'm doing some interior real estate thanks!!!
Keep coming back to this interesting location, it's so old world looking, like something from old movie. Your right about the Avata, its a fun drone to get and explore with. Great video, and thanks for sharing Billy.
I had the DJI insurance for about a year. I heard that State Farm Insurance would insure my Mavic 2 zoom for about $75. I had to use it once as I hit alow hanging power line. I looked up as I was flying it in an abondon parking lot. I happen to look up and it looked like I hit a buzzard some some big bird. I picked up the pieces and went straight to my State Farm Insurance office. They lady was helpful and started the claim. Instead of fixing my drone DJI gave me a brand new one. State farm picked up the bill 100%. I since moved my insurance for my home and two vehicles to State Farm. I save over $1,000 with them over Farmers Insurance.
Of all my drones my Avata is what I fly most. It's a great flyer and the goggles make the difference. I'll not buy anything else unless they're supported by goggles. I suspect the Avata 2 will be a little bigger, one inch sensor and better placement of the sd card and usb-c connecter. Bought my Avata the day it was announced and the Care Refresh package is a must. Break ur drone have a new one in a week! I've used it many times. Also only fly my mini 3 pro with the goggles. Thanks for another great vid!
@@dylan_denhartog_youtube Sorry, "I know nothing” That was just what I think DJI could or should do if a new model of the Avata comes out! Billy brought it up.... Does HE know something? The time is right.... for Christmas!
I keep dragging my feet to pull the trigger on one of these. I have flown one a number of times and and I just love it. Dare I say I love flying it with the motion controller too.
I am going to be freaking frustrated if my Goggles 2 I bought with my DJI Avata is not compatible with the Avata 2! I’d really like to see the new Avata not fall out of the sky during a roll over like a brick 🧱 in front and back flips. I think after going to my 3rd Avata now after crashing it due to DJI update resetting all my configurations and not having the control I had before the last update a few months back. I think from this point it will just be rolls and no more front and back flips with the Avata. Going to make it much more a tool than actual FPV fun. 🤩
DJI is like Apple. How can DJI make a drone better? They just make you “want it” … Apple did a remake on an old watch no body wanted from the 70s and now lots of people have Apple Watches on their wrists. Don’t forget DJI makes robots and other interesting things.
I honestly DO NOT LIKE YOUR VIDEO TITLE.. why you ask? Well I've recently went from a mini 2 to air 3.. the difference in $$ is huge at least in Canada... and not to say the mini 2 is cheap.. and I'm not complaining about the price as I know lots of tech goes into them.. just like smartphones though... I hate how many to make clic able content title their videos like you have.. I get it.. this is how videos male $$.. but this is also how we all get sucked into the latest and greatest addiction.. really "still fun after a year " as if that's a long time? How long should something that cost more than $500 be fun.. it insinuates that a year is a long time and $500 and up is nothing.... and I think that tittle like yours help to get people sucked into the Disease of the latest and greatest..
You are so confusing to watch. I'm not sure if I like your movie making more. Or your instructional videos on drones or anything else. Or just this footage having fun with the Avata. Please. For me. Stop being so entertaining.
I have the Avata and the FPV. We need a combination of both! Mid size that can handle wind, better camera so we don’t need an action camera mounted, internal ND filters, top speed of 100mph, prop guards and horizontal x vertical option. 🔥🔥🔥 @dji
I'm sure this is posted in another video somewhere but I'm being super lazy right now. 1) How are you avoiding Remote ID? 2) What battery setup is that so you don't have it dangling from the goggles? Note: I don't mind Remote ID but I'm trying to eliminate extras that are attached to my head, while flying. Thanks!
great video billy, you have convinced me! ive just now ordered one with flymore combo from bb, got almost usd450 off because of the black friday deal! and now my bank account is -$140. let see if i get nausea or not from flying an fpv drone, never had one before so.. lol
At 12:45 that's the elevator shaft with the electric motor (smaller round piece) on the top, you can see the cable pulleys. The taller thing beside it is the control panel framework It look like it burned up.
I would love an avata. I would use the crap outta it. I sunk my cash on the dji fpv drone and now wish I had the avata instead. I would get more use out of it. Great vid
Iv got the motion 2 controller. I don’t know if that affects range but I don’t think I’m getting anything like the range you had there! I was flying my Avata a few weeks ago, some distance away near an old stone building. I wanted to have a look inside but as soon as I got near it I lost signal with no warning. It just went and I couldn’t get it to reconnect. It wouldn’t return to home either. So I’m guessing it hovered until it ran out of battery, then just landed. I managed to retrieve my drone 4 days later. But that was 4 days and 3 nights it sat outside in the cold and damp. After charging the battery and allowing it to warm up to room temperature, it works and flies fine! But I don’t know what caused to signal to drop instantly with no warning. Anyone else got any thoughts? Would be appreciated! 😊👍🏻
A dual camera Avata. One is the flight camera the other the recording camera. Also maybe make 2 versions an Avata 2 and an Avata mini A smaller lighter more compact Avata that’s maybe the Avata 1 but in a body half the size and weight with the same battery life or better.
Can’t wait for the drone. But to answer your question. Things they could improve is definitely camera quality and battery life. But maybe make it even more durable, and more agile like an actual fpv. Keep it so it can fly in normal or sport mode, but for manual mode, I think it could improve in quickness and speed.
This video took me on a voyage and I enjoyed every minute of it. I disagree there was no substance. There was plenty to feed on here Billy. Your videos are really inspiring to wanna get out and fly drones and that is no fluff. Have a good one.
You're fortunate to have this beautiful weather indeed. It's downtime for me since all covered with clouds, showers and low temps. Keep up with this content.👍
I also love the avata for all these reasons. I have axis 3.5 converted mine... and on that basis... id love to see the new avata at 3.5 inch, 04, maybe 6s if they could keep the weight below 500g. And maybe front obstacle sensors for a better rth.
Just looking out for you on this… after you saying you didn’t have permission flying there. You definitely broke multiple laws according to the FAA. Reference AIM Ch. 11-10-3 and flying into a dwelling that isn’t yours is straight up trespassing. Not trying to be a Karen but the more people who do this the more strict the rules will become.
