Not everyone has taken up travelling with the Doctor. While it is exciting and amazing it is also dangerous and terrifying. People need to be prepared for that life cos as it says in the video , you change once you are with the Doctor. Sometimes for the best and other times the worst. No spoilers if you consider watching but the Doctor never leaves their companions because they are just tired of them. It’s sometimes due to necessity, is saving them, doesn’t want them to get hurt or the companions themselves have to move on. Asthe Doctor says ‘that’s the curse of the Time Lords’

A couple of the companions went on to get their own shows. Capt. Jack Harkness (the fella who says the title drop of this video) spearheaded the dark and gritty spin-off Torchwood. Granted, sometimes it tried way too hard to be "adult" to the point that it came across juvenile, but it got better later on, becoming a heartbreaking masterpiece in S3. And one of the most popular Classic companions, Sarah Jane (who, unless I missed her, is not in this video) got a much more child-friendly show called, well, The Sarah Jane Adventures. That one's more consistently good than Torchwood, but I totally get that the younger-audience-appeal isn't going to work for everyone.

@@ToddReacts Those are just the successful ones too! Sarah Jane had a spin-off in the early 80s that never got past the pilot, and there were two other shows that didn't get past one season (one of which was made in Australia and had nothing to do with the BBC).

Everyone talks about choosing the lifestyle. But I think my choice would be the Doctor. Keeping that person in my life. The price of that is the life. Both the good and bad. I'm not the adventurous type. But I value connection.

@@ToddReacts Some of them voluntarily chose to stay in a time and place that was alien to them. Although we can account for most of the ones in the 60s purely because the Doctor couldn't steer the TARDIS back then...

So many people say they would go with the Doctor to experience the new worlds andnnew technologies. But for me, the appeal would be being around the Doctor. Getting to know the Doctor as a person and being privileged to see theough his eyes. That would be the appeal for me. But I've always been more interested in getting to know people and experiencing things with them. Not just the experiences.

Would you consider reacting to IMPOSTERS(20ep) & MISFITS(38ep) & THE FOLLOWING(45ep)??? All amazing shows that i think you would love and I would love to see your reaction to them!!!
