hedgehog countering rooster works. put the hedgehog behind your strongest unit. position 2 or 3. your strongest unit trades with the rooster -> 3 chicks spawn -> one kills hedgehog --> other chicks die. also works with a 2/1 deer

The counter to dodo rooster is leopard with dodo or tiger honestly. It's worked well for me so far. Leopard gang rise up lmao

The main issue with the Rhino counter is it is a tier 5, possibly needing 6 for melon and by that point the roster and dodo are established.

Most fun build I’ve ever done is lvl 2 Penguin, lvl 3 Giraffe, lvl 3 Bison, and then an absolutely fed lvl 2 otter and fed lvl 3 ant with garlic and melon on all of them. Beat a dodo rooster for my 10th win as well. Felt real good

Tiger Rhino is the legit counter to Rooster That being said, for that interaction to actually happen requires your rhino to be beefed up with stats and melon and be lucky enough to hit the preceding rooster chicks with its effect before it gets killed. Kinda pog when it happens; Too bad tier 5 and you just die before you get one, let alone a beefed one.

Melon Rhino with Tiger pretty much hard counters any spawner build including Dodo Rooster, but it also losses to every other high power build and is also just hard to get in the first place

Dodo/Rooster builds are annoying because how do you deal with a 50/something rooster that spits out 1-3 50/something birds? You just don’t have enough health to sustain that kind of damage. And then people who are like “Hedgehog ez. Rhino ez.” Okay but then you have to figure out where their rooster is going to be? Is it in the front? Is it near the back? Do they have three scorpions in front of it? Who knows.

You absolutely have to Tiger a Rhino. For one it's awesome to watch and for another it stomps on Dodo Rooster as well as Turkey Tiger Fly. I just managed to pull off a 10 streak with Black Cat, Swan, Rhino, Tiger and Turtle. Lv 3 50/50 Rhino and a LV 3 Turtle. Every KO my Rhino with Melon Armor from the Turtle got it dealt 12 dame twice to the front unit, and since that normally triggered another KO off he went again. Watching Turkey Tiger Fly get absolutely shredded by the single attack was priceless.

Chicks are glass cannons unless they have a big turkey to go along with dodo-rooster. So weenies can counter them sometimes. I got my tenth win once, buying a level 2 spider on my last turn. My comp didn't synergize with it, but I needed shock troops, and even 2/2 flys can take out 50/2 chicks as well as anything else, 4/4 flys can handle 50/3, but not 50/6 (from a turkey). So not a great counter, but it's at least a hail Mary.

i really like SAP, i wish the synergies werent so impactful - token spam and dodo rooster... things like that. makes it less interesting as you have to force more meta builds if you are going for trophies.

I was going for achievements and ended up with a 50/50 rat which was one xp from level 3 when I got ten wins. I rolled like twenty times but never got that last one.

easy dodo rooster fix, don't give as many chicks, like remove 1 per level or maybe just have levels 1 and 2 both give 1 then 2 at level 3. Dodo can stay as it is cuz dodo is glass cannon builds but rooster makes it cannon that survives too many hits.

Bruh, like for real the times I have lost to dodo rooster alone is annoying. Not even Fly tiger turkey is as annoying, I would take that combination over dodo rooster. Like I know that If I pick those two I can win almost any run, but I just don't want to play the same thing over and over.

It's kind of crazy to me that rat is even in the conversation for the worst animal in the game. I used to think so too, but after giving it a chance I think it's one of the better tier 2 animals because giving your opponent a 1/1 with potential upside for yourself is not as relevant as people make out and can actually win the round for you if they've got a nasty unit at the back, plus you're getting great stats early which you can use to snowball a few early wins. I like to put the rat right at the front and focus buffs on it so it's likely to trade for multiple enemies.

Funny thing about that first round... Fish Otter Mosquito is actually mathematically the best round 1 team. It's even better than Ant Fish Otter, because no matter what, Ant Fish Otter cannot win against Fish Otter Mosquito. A team of Fish Ant Otter only works in that particular order with the Ant buffing the Otter, and it only wins if the mosquito hits the Otter. This is why I take mosquito over ant.

About the dodo rooster argument. It's just enhanced rhino (as in with snake, with tiger, etc. just something that attacks with it) or something to snipe the rooster before it has a chance to attack so it only spawns one.

Melon Rhino is absolutely a Rooster-Dodo counter, and not a bad choice in general, especially with tiger.
