The fox is a fun main if you want to largely play solo but take advantage of good social features sometimes. Plus the art designer made a great-looking character model.
@@magnuswright5572These players are usually ostracized from the rest of the human playerbase for having the incredibly noticeable "Extreme BO" debuff. Also due to rumors that some of these players attempt the mating side quest with other player bases.
Playing fox makes for a great trolling session as well. Some of your callouts you can use repeatedly around humans, and they absolutely go nuts trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Also the combination of decent stealth, nocturnal functionality, and borderline broken antistealth makes for some really, really fun XP runs at night.
Here in South Africa they are called hyenas. Deadly and ran forever without stopping. The only Animal in the African meta that can out marathon them is the human. They run almost 2 kilometres without stopping. Meanwhile I can do about 3km.
@@twainrocks4771 no they are called Wild Dogs, Hyena's are different animal entirely, They aren't Canids, so not Dogs, Hyena's are built differently, spotted Hyena's the ones found here in South Africa, are much bulkier than Wild Dogs and can often take on much bigger prey, they often have encounters with Wild Dogs, but their main rivals will eternally be Lions, like Wild Dogs they can also run really long, beaten only by humans.
maybe that's why wolves and humans teamed up is during the neutral where wolves are attempting to intimidate humans can fling projectile safely and either deal massive damage or force movement out of the prey
That's pretty true in reality. Moose are terrifying monsters of muscle with hooves and antlers. One kick from them or a charge and it's going to send a wolf into orbit. It's easier to just go look for food elsewhere with something that doesn't have the ability to stomp your pack to death.
Wolves, who have just cornered me into a tree: easy kill boys. Let’s get em. Me, being cornered by wolves: *stands ground wolves: oh crap. He didn’t fall for it. Also wolves: *runs in opposite direction. Me who had just watched TierZoo: This, does bring a smile to my face.
@@joegerkrep7727 coward. If you can’t, then you don’t know how to do Memes. (Besides I just wanted to use the Thanos part. I wasn’t actually trying to do a good meme)
What I think is really cool about African painted hound is that they’re like a fifth of the size of lions yet hunt the same prey with an even higher success rate.
Their compensation breeding AND adaptability. Humans want to wipe them out but can't despite kind of unintentionally causing a mass extinction. Coyotes are unstoppable
Yeah I was going to say. They're like the thieves of the animal kingdom. Relatively low combat ability but sneaky as all get out which lets them enter certain levels with high risk of human encounter and high reward of lots of items to scavenge.
I still don’t get why in version 4.5 they made so many dogs support class. They used to be so fun to play as but now it’s just rng on whether the person you support is good or not
You know you can just change party right? There was this dog main that joined my party when I was at a lower level. She just kept visiting my home base and eventually just stayed there. My party, just decided to send a party invite... And the dog main accepted! It was a while ago though. Their play through ended after getting the "Chocolate Curse" debuff.
The coyote is so underrated. They match up well against most other builds, except for the roadrunner. The coyote is even capable of employing ACME products, though these attempts usually fail.
Seems like there are a lot of people asking about hyenas. It's important to note that even though they may look like canines, they're actually in a completely different taxonomic classification and are much more closely related to cats than they are to dogs. If you're still reading, a more in depth answer would be that most carnivorous mammals are part of the order Carnivora. This order is divided into Caniforms (dog-like creatures) and Feliforms(cat-like creatures). Bears, seals, raccoons, badgers, ferrets, dogs, and a few others are Caniforms. Hyenas, cats, mongooses, meerkats, civets, and a few others are Feliforms. This might seem arbitrary but it tells the story of how they evolved, so I think it was important to not include the Hyena in this list.
Dogs and Hyenas getting compared? Wow, even with such unique normals and smashes, people really like to fixate on things being clones if they both have a landmaster as their final smash.
Forgot to mention that maned wolves are very adaptable and are the fastest canines also able to run for a very long period of time, also they have the roar bark and can raise their mane to intimidate threats and their massive ears work like sensors to easily detect moving small prey Ironically it can actually counter the wolf strat as it is faster than them so even fleeing they can win and if the wolf tries to intimidate it on its own territory it will find out that it will not flee and will see the intimidating roar bark that they wish they had
Yes, that's what I say. He is a very underrated canine. It's very practical to play, you're stronger than a coyote and faster and more agile than most canines. And the map he spawns on only has cougar and jaguar players as a threat. And you can form pairs or trios with other maned wolf players to hunt something or defend yourself. Unfortunately, they are always the minority of servers. Best animal for beginners, undisputed.
@@bryanwhite3021 You forget greyhounds, having a lot of atack in case of defending their selves or their properyies + being very fast, enough to catch any fleeing atacker (this also comes with a economic bonus in countries were animal races are legal)
They were nerfed from version 3 and onward due to playerbase whining for a nerf. Ironically, with the jackal's power vacume empty lead to the "Promethian" class in verson 4 and "Warden" in version 5 strategies, filling that gap in power.
"It's awesome that wolf mains made their strategy guide available to new players, but doin so also allowed other players to learn the matchup, and develop counter-play options" Now I can't help but imagining a bison on Wikipedia, noding and thinking : "ahah yes, now I know what to do"
I love the fact that these videos are actually really educational! Most pro players don't even consider helping the beginners, but your step by step strat guides really encourage me to enter the competitive scene. Also great job on showing some low-tier build love! Let's not forget, it's a game and it's not just about winning.
Mane wolves in Brazil are called lobo-guará (mane wolf) or "bicho do mato" (wilderness beast), which also refers to people that are too shy or just want to stay alone all day ... like a mane wolf.
Hey, I’ve been binge watching these tier list and this bad mamajama is the 1st one I’ve thought might need an update or subcategories. Keep up the awesome content!
It was a mercy stun. The smaller bison had aggro and too many dots. Best case scenario, it would've had a momentary lapse in, or loss of, consciousness sooner, resulting in a faster death. Allowing for a sooner respawn. Without a healer it was either die or die slower.
@@TheSchnieder6 It doesn't matter! There is no I in team, we respawn together! Nothing more embarrassing than seeing a character run back out of an instance when it's almost almost finished just to avoid one more unnecessary death - Respawns are quick.
What about the Coywolf? They are a Coyote Wolf hybrid. They are becoming rather prevalent on the eastern coast of Canada and are starting to make some real movement inland.
African wild dogs also have the highest hunt to kill ratio when compared to all the other large carnivores in Africa which is insane because they have to compete with hyenas, lions and leopards
Speaking as a fox main, I'm inclined to agree that they're C-tier in terms of stats and abilities; they're pretty versatile and are really fun to grief as, but they aren't that good in a fight--and don't get me started on the occasional fur farm spawn.
Yo but that fox shrine spawn is S-tier, ongod. You just sit there, stare at a human player, and they'll give you food for free! Perks of having the best character art in the game.
I find that running a golden retriever with the Domestication tree the best choice in the current meta. Emphasis on picking up the final good boy perk. It essentially makes the other top tier human class provide every resource free of charge. Just my thoughts if you choose to roll/re-roll a dog class.
according to wikipedia "Most species of social spiders live in the tropical regions of the world where insect size and density is highest but several species reach into the eastern United States and other temperate areas."
The scary thing is that social spiders are actually far more organized than Tierzoo describes, with genuine cooperation on a large scale. And some of them operate in packs numbering in the tens of thousands.
Ma boi TierZoo skyrocketing in popularity. Seriously, 70K to 468K in a few months? Who knew tier lists were in such high demand Edit: I have been noticed by TierZoo Senpai for the second time!!!
he chose a decently popular game we all main in X D so helps out you know. he also does a great job of narrating and had a good humorous editing style that uses mems from throughout gaming
I think it's the juxtaposed idea of real-world creatures annihilating each other ending lives in search for dominance and sustenance with the jaunty tunes and the incorporation of biology as a talent tree with stats and metas.
He got blessed by the gods of youtube recommendations several people have stated in his previous videos that for some reason they were showing up for them
The best of them are pretty crafty, and at times have even avoided S-Tiers like humans and tracking hounds, but their relatively short lifespan in addition to their high-seceptability to juvenile death and rabies makes them more prey than predator. Fun Fact: Coyotes, Foxes, and Wolves in the northern servers invest minor points into tail length, because a longer tail allows them to protect the exposed paws and snouts from frostbite when sleeping.
The fox build's biggest bonus by far is the ability to adapt to a wide variety of servers & sub-servers. Their diet (as you already mentioned in the vid) is adaptable, but also their ability to survive & thrive in environments a lot of other builds find dangerous or even deadly. There's also another factor which comes into play & you NEED to do a vid on it!!!
Elaine B fair, but the joke is a reference to super smash bros melee where Fox McCloud is the top tier character in the game and has been for ever, it’s to the point where Fox being top tier is a meme.
Small correction: most wolf packs aren't actually that big, they are commonly about 6 individuals - two parents and 4 pups. Parents and pups will not hunt together. The pups leave the pack when they reach adulthood and go out to start their own packs. They have to learn hunting all by themselves, because the parents will not really show them. The kind of wolf packs in this video are mostly found on the American Continent and Siberia. The 'normal' wolf family doesn't work in those areas, because prey is too big or lives in big herds. Or sometimes there isn't enough free territory in an area and the young adult wolves come back to their parents and stay with them. This way the packs can get a lot bigger with multiple generations of offspring. The leaders of that pack will still be the parents. There are also instances where big packs like that cooperate with each other. Wolves also don't really have a pecking order. The parents - and in bigger packs also older offspring - will make sure that the youngest pups get their share, but besides that it's more a question of which wolf is the hungriest. A hungry wolf will sucessfully defend its place even against older (higher ranking) wolves.
@@RipleySawzen peritcally in the Ireland server, were wild wolves and dogs were hunted to extinction in the 19th century. Also the largest bird of prey in this area is only able to hunt up to rabbits and hares. Unfortunately the rabbit and hare players were massacred when melanoma, a rabbit and hare specific bioweapon, that caused a great hunger for the fox players. The fox players in modern day are theifing chickens from farmers, but this business is risky and many have been killed in fox culls/hunts. Jesus it took me forever to wright this.
Doesnt work on cats. Theres an article on 2 guys that were hiking. A mountain lion was spotted. The 2 men ran. One tripped and the cat got him. The other guy stopped to look back then proceeded to run. The cats' chase instinct kicked in, he abondend his prey and caught the man that was running. The guy that fell originally was able to escape and bring a team to retrieve the other guy who was killed.
The Bison , probably the leader sacrificed a weaker member of the group , so the rest would be left alone and could run . He didn't do it for himself , but for everyone.
As a Former Fox main, The Tier level is pretty fine, but the High Smell and Hearing ability is a game changer for making a easy strats, its also good for Solo players
The amount of effort put into these guides and tier lists is amazing. I'm sure it helps a lot of noobs to understand the meta and choose their class more wisely.
Giant Otter actually good boy is a skill dogs have and use on Humman players to get rid of mental debuffs. Watch the cats vs dogs video for more information
Canines in general aren't over powered, they are good but they're usually pretty small meaning non team players can get bodied by bigger solitary players such as bears. but the buff they gave to canis lupus giving it another way to play (AKA canis lupus familiarisation AKA dogs.) is like you said, too much.
Coyotes got their upgraded build with the Eastern Coyote. This build uses the dogs and wolf genes to get small boosts in strength, intelligence and team work with a huge adaptability boost that made them able to move to territories like Panama. This build is now reaching the Darien and it is interesting in the Cental America meta, specially in the Panama and Costa Rica servers.
Something else important to consider is that there is a significant difference among wolf species in factors like size and intimidation factor. Male grey wolves can reach an astonishing 110lb on the upper end of their average size, and as a result their howls, growls, and barks are downright terrifying. They actually outsize and outpower painted dogs, though they are slightly slower.
Everyone forgets that tier lists are originally a Japanese system that gained western popularity through various games both on the home console and arcade markets and some white American kid raised on Netflix, Snapchat, Spotify and Steam certainly isn't the fuckin' source lol
Joseph Fox Grizzly would be S since they're top tier predator in the forest, Polar Bear would be A since they're good predator, but there's little food for them in the Arctic meta
Meme Of Spider-Man grizzlies still have to go against wolf packs. while they usually dominate over kills a wolf pack would be very dangerous if the Cubs are involved.
