The map that Dante is thinking of is THE PETERMANN MAP which shows the truth of the size of the continents. The OLD MERCATOR map is the one that has always been used throughout America and all its schools. Even though this PETERMANN MAP was acknowledged in the early eighties, the MERCATOR map is STILL being used. Europeans do not want to admit to the truth of the PETERMANN map.
