The boys bathroom was the best place to harmonize in high school. The girls would stand outside in the hallway and listen, this brings back great memories of my childhood...Keep it alive guys and bring it back.
They sang down the subway ..I use to sit on the steps and listen in the evening… But when the street lights came on I better get my butt home, just 3 blocks away, ran it in 30 seconds…or dads belt came off…
Thank you John. Holding the opening chords a little longer was done to maximize the effects of the harmony. Thank for noticing. No one else ever noticed that.
I am madly in love with the Doo wop music. It does something to my heart, & some ppl think it is out of tune which aggravates me. Sorry, but I consider this tune so passionate. Buzz off if u don't appreciate it
After watching and listening to their performance for the umpteenth time, I had to comment. I never heard such tight, on the nose harmony. I could only tell who the lead singer was, that's how close-knit the group is. Great job guys!!
You guys were outstanding! Back in the early sixties my brother and I and a friend would sing in the bathroom in beauty school practically every day. What fun we had. Thanks to you guys for bringing back those memories.......I must add, you guys are so much better than we were
@@AlCappellathe1 ya know brother, sometimes i cant tell who's singing what. and this is a good thing because it means the harmony and timing is spot on. i assume the base is the big stocky gray haired guy. normally i think the base is the biggest guy in the group, but there have been times it was the smallest guy, sometimes the sound doesnt fit the size lol.
@@kennethrisner8648 Thanks yes we knew we had lightning in the bottle with this one. We had perhaps the best sound and could put this group up against any others. The bass was Sal Torregrossa who doubled from Bass to Bari then back to bass, blue shirt.
I attended George Washington High School in Washington Heights, NY, in the mid-to-late fifties. During class changes, one could hear pitch-perfect harmony from the boys' restrooms. Go inside, and the smoke was thick, but the harmony was out-of-this world. I miss that, but these gentlemen bring back those precious memories.
It's 4:12am on a saturday... you got food poisoning from a taco truck... as you're shitting in & out of consciousness, you hear the bathroom door open and a group walk in :
I love the Jesters. And that was one of their best songs. You really did a good job, a great job. I wish I could meet you guys. Did you do any more songs like this?
Guys, that was awesome. Talk about tight harmonies. That was off the hook. I wish you guys were down here in Florida. I miss harmonizing with the guys. We don't have too much of this amazing group harmony stuff around the Tampa Bay area of Fla. I miss this sound so much. Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane.
@@AlCappellathe1 I just wish we had some Doo Wop groups around here in the Tampa Bay area. I used to sing with a group but they aren't really doing anything anymore. Can't find anyone around here to connect with.
SUPER VERSION just rite on the mark. Keep up great work. Now if you can get this great Jesters song down ,I will fall off my chair if you U come up with there other one of a kind song I LAUGHED
We did I laughed just once, I would cut my pinky off if I had a recording of it. Danny the falsetto singer did the lead. It was better than the original. I am so upset that we didn't record more of the practice songs which were perfect before the break up.
