The pause after delivery feature should be a preference, not just an option you have to remember to click every time. They also make the app incredibly hard to navigate and rarely does clicking the home/top left actually take you to the Home Screen on the first attempt. So I guess they want people fumbling with their phones while they drive around metal weapons alongside families road-tripping. I don’t think the apps should function outside of navigation while you are moving at road speeds. Period. End of story. It should be regulated.
@@maddashforroadtripcash3477 I've been pausing after deliveries and waiting until I get back to a good area for several years now. Anyone who has done this for a while can figure this out. This is not mind blowing information. But you DON'T want to turn on the 'Pause After Delivery' feature because the pause timer starts from the moment you turn it on, and if you do a double, it could time out.
Yeah great idea. Take a $2/mile ratio order pause the dash to get back into your good area driving back for free turning that last order into a $1/Mile ratio order
To stay at platinum, you have to be prepared to not live in the moment. You can’t scoff at x amount of dollars for only x amount of money, if you realize you are boxed into a bad order. Gotta be able to look at the big picture and forecast your earnings.
I know one thing.. they have totally jacked how and how often your AR raises. If you don't take an occasional crap order it's like your AR stays in lockdown mode.. like totally frozen. Never seen anything like it. Rolling 100 my $#@
It's at least 50% crap orders even in Platinum. If you take orders that you lose money on then you are LOSING MONEY🤦♀️Oh, you get a better one after that and break even?? Then you are ONLY BREAKING EVEN! Is that what you wanna do? Keep spinning your wheels for a company who thinks you're only worth 2 bucks at best?🤦♀️Where is the sanity it that?🤷♀️
Acceptance Rate is 1 of the 3 metrics in how orders are assigned, Customer Rating and Proximity to the store being the other 2. Doordash isn't sending someone to grab $100+ worth of food with a customer rating below 4.95, there trying to retain those customers not lose them. In regards to the lopsided orders, in my opinion if doordash was more upfront with what location their order is coming from, that would help tremendously. People thinking they're getting their McDonald's from the location just a mile away, a $2 tip seems adequate, when in actuality it came from the location a longer distance. $2 a mile is mythical!!!!!!
In my opinion that tier program feels like it’s just barely skewed to a range that’s uncomfortable. Both with the AR rate and the minimum deliveries per 30 days. It also doesn’t actually let you know how many orders you’ve completed in the last 30 days. Because you don’t know if 29 days prior you went on a mad run and did 25 orders in one day. You are about to get a big surprise the next day when you’re forced to scavenge to make it back to 100. It’s def designed to not allow you to take many extended breaks from the app, or heavily focus on other apps. In that way it’s pretty scummy. They are having their cake and eating it too. Giving you all the pressures of being employed, while not actually directly employing you (IE benefits, protections, etc).
Might wanna try bringing up your earnings tab and clicking the week from 30 days ago. That will tell you how many deliveries you had that week, along with each day. Careful with the 31 day months though.., that’ll hamstring ya in a heartbeat.
At this point, I'm just watching to see where you take the Mr. Bet on you character arc. Seems like another blow-up on customer video will be best for views.
I got an ar of 2% have no problem getting good orders. I could care less about an ar every app I got my ar is under 5% and I still make good money… if ur buy the stores ull get them…
You're absolutely correct. It is set to earn just about $120-$130 in 8 hours. I've noticed it. No matter how good of a deal you get, it all equals out at the end of day every single day of the week. It's a clever design by the DD!!
I can respect the fact you have no choice to make DD content for views, but at least live up to your word. You are showing your audience just how much you need them. You are making yourself look desperate. You are better than this bro
And this is so true! He's basically saying "Do as I say, not as I do". Unfortunate, because I had enjoyed his content, but he just sold his soul to Doordash with this video. How embarrassing for him🤦♀️
The biggest advantage for me with platinum dasher status. Maintaining my stats. Unlimited dash on demand wherever I want whenever I want. With silver status. If it is not busy I cannot work
I take the good orders and decline the bad. One time I declined a $8 for 5 miles and 5 minutes I got a $63 for 2 miles. There is always a better offer coming.
Exactly. And it doesn't matter if it's peak hours or not. Is he implying that people tip less during non-peak hours? Doordash certainly doesn't pay more during peak hours🤦♀️This is some weird logic and bad advice.
@antonettereynolds551 what he's saying is to keep your AR high during non peak hours you are LIKELY to get more trash then a random gem of 63 for 2 miles. I GUARANTEE that happened to you 1 TIME and not again for quite some time. To keep the higher AR you would need to be on when A) less drivers available or B) during peak hours when the cherry pickers are sitting in parking lots watching platinum drivers walk in getting orders......you know you sit and watch at times....
Pedro! I've been dashing 4 months and learned so much from you! You inspired me to start my own YT channel and just uploaded my first video. I tagged this video on my end screen as a tribute. Keep making awesome content and keeping it real. Cheers and stay safe out there!
Thank you for a statement that makes complete sense. There's nothing wrong with a W2. Most of these people just lack the responsibility to know how to keep a W2. They have ALL the excuses
How to do that? Well, start for knowing how many miles per gallon your car runs, do that twice as you have to come back. My number is 83 cents per mile and 2.50 per person delivery. Always separate .29 cents per mile to be used on your car expenses.
You're 100% right in this video Pedro. Sometimes you have to take garbage orders to keep the AR up. Not all orders are going to be trash. I've been in the tier program for about a year now. I know how it works. It's best to have your AR at 75 like you said because they will send you those garbage orders and at 75, you're prepared to decline those.
The worst trash you will see. Pay by the hour. You absolutely do not know what you're getting paid. You give up your right to choose. They will put you on 10:15 Mile trips for a coffee. Maybe they'll be a dollar tip maybe they'll be no tip. The point is you would have never done that order in the first place and the pay is still not up to par.
love that you are wearing the seatbelt man, i know they lame but they keep you safe and alive. Your family loves you and someone dying a otherwise livable accident because they chose not to wear a seatbelt is sad.
From my experience, the orders are better at 80% and 90%... much better.... yes there ARE tiers beyond the tiers in my area at least (Detroit). My AR is 95% now, so I am speaking from experience. I had only 70% a couple months ago, and then 80%.. I noticed a HUGE difference after 80% in getting $18-$23 orders....
You are spot on. When you play the game your way the best offers come. I take sh*t orders early in the week. On the Th-Su shifts I kick the bad ones to the curb. Mon-Wed 22.00 per hour average. Thur -Sunday 33.00 per hour average.
yes sir i only work dinner shift after work. i get home around 530, work till 10pm. On weekends I primarily run spark during day and make the switch to food delivery during dinner time
Hey Pedro, I need to correct you on something, the truth is you are changing worlds. you’re helping out many people, it may not be in the millions and it may not be in the thousands. But There are hundreds of people in the world who have received your help and their world has changed for the better. we Appreciate you, never forget that.
Pedro, I think that’s a gimmick! You will get higher orders because the combine 2 or 3 each time. So obviously you will get them higher, but not really.
It's totally different here in Cali now with the tier system than almost everywhere else. AR minimum in my market 80%. 150 deliveries in the past 30 days. Completion rate 97% Completion is a none issue
Wouldn't doubt dd mad him an offer if he promoted them. The .man lied about the glitch why would anyone think that he wouldn't lie about something else
@@LBC2HTX1 you are entitled to to your opinion, but Iam too, so why is bad that he keep’s explaining his experiences? Because he was in that job for long time, he must have something to say that, maybe help others.
You can talk about DoorDash or anything you want it's your channel it's your platform. That is good advice knowing your market every market is different everybody's different with goals of what they need to hit or what they want to hit for extra cash or whatever. Knowing when to turn on all of these apps it is the best advice some it's just dinner rush some it's breakfast rush and dinner rush together but knowing your market and knowing usually around my market is slow around the lunch time and you're not getting high paying offers regardless.
100% accurate!!!! The only other thing I have found is I don't take more than 6 orders a day. I use the other apps afterwards. This is so I can maintain my100 rolling orders and not freak out about what is dropping that night. I work 5 days a week.
Its not that hard to understand stand the tier program its just as bad as top dashers program the only thing that matter is the dash now feature i do about 20-30 deliveries a day and might see 4 of the higher paying jobs in the platinum tier
Not really. Just watch the zone for literally 1 minute and it will open up. And if that fails dash along the way works just as good. Dash now is Not needed.
My concern everyday different amounts of deliveries fall off everyday. I have over 100 but to keep me gold they remove between 5-9 deliveries everyday reset.
@pinkelefant4ever I'm not a bot. 🥲 I'm a real driver in Aus who finds these videos extremely helpful, so I like to show my support and pass on my own learnt tips to help others. 😎🥰
@@Mr.Betonyou I will pull it up for you..goofy..the world knows you can't live without dd.. your emotionally stuck...your problem is you won't admit it
@@roomshakayou calling him the goofy but we can literally click on your acct n see you comment hate on all his videos your giving him views watching the ads giving him money.. seems like that makes you the goofy
Y’all he’s working back up into DD’s good graces. Of course, they watch his content, too, remember?🙄 He’ll be back to bitchin’ & Dashin’ once his 90 day suspension is up. Bet.💯
The only advise you can give people at this point is to log off DD. Come on Pedro be a man and grow a pair and say the truth. What are you the order whisperer 😂😂🤷🏻♂️
Dude. You said you will stop talk about Doordash. Seem like you can only get views with the Doordash content. Come on bro. Just try to get reactivated again.
The guy is definitely going back to DD, if he hasn’t already when the camera is off. But he’s always consistently stated he’d continue talking about it. You are literally an absolute liar.
Usually in that situation I’ve found solutions to be: A) don’t dash when it’s not busy in the area, B) mix in some pay by time, especially when it’s busy or there is peak pay. The latter of course depends on what you base pay/hr is in your area though.
In Palmdale California there are so many guys (illegals) walking around with multiple phones and there’s a car that drives around with a big antenna, killing our service, I lose service in that area because of . This is sick .
I am confused i thought u got deactivated, because u rated out a customers told there names on this utube abd aproched a customer about weather u delivered there or not .lucky for u that could of went bad .if u did know anything about this job as u say u do u be still in dd but, ur not .grow up dude .
Participation Trophy's ..lol The only thing dumber than a dd tear (that's right tear not tier) program is to spend 30 minutes talking about it as if it matters. What level is everyone on. The aluminum level, maybe the lead level. How stupid the whole thing is. Look at me mommy I'm a gold level meals on wheels.driver. Yell that to the bank when your car loan or mortgage note is due see what it gets ya Ha
In Palmdale California there are so many guys (illegals) walking around with multiple phones and there’s a car that drives around with a big antenna, killing our service, I lose service in that area because of . This is sick . Reason why we do not get the big orders
Acceptance rate means nothing on Doordash. People should forget about AR. Quit hyping this. You're not even working for Doordash anymore! Don't you see what Doordash did? They tried to get all the young college kids on summer break who don't care about mileage, and all of you who are so panicked about not being able to schedule, to do this tier program. You didn't even try to do it without worrying about the tiers. The fact is that there aren't enough people doing the tiers, and without the rest of us, they don't have enough drivers.
@@antonettereynolds551 And now that he's not doing it, he realizes he's not getting his advertising money because a lot of dashers probably stopped subscribing to his posts.
@markd.9108 It sure as heck seems that way because this whole video is him advising dashers to take bad offers so they can get good ones later. Oh, and bad ones too😂 He needs to rewatch this video and realize how completely hypocritical he sounds. I used to appreciate some of his content but this video shows the true colors. He's now promoting the Doordash tier system since they deactivated him. Amazing 🤦♀️
The reason he's promoting the AR crap is to get other drivers to take all the crap $2 orders so he doesn't have to. If a driver declines one order to get the decline off your record you have to accept the next 100 orders cuz it's first in last out accounting Anyone falling for that is a fool Hey if dd wants to burn the customers giving a high paying order to someone else that miles away when a cherry picker is sitting right in front of the pickup location have at and destroy the high paying customer see how long that lasts lol High paying order longer wait yeah right
Platinum hasn’t ended up being worth it in my market. I have 2 accounts with DD, 1 that I use to steal meals from, and the other I’ll bring back up to platinum when the summer is over finally 🤷♂️
I must just be in a magical market cuz myself and a good friend of mine bothe dash full time, 6 days a week. Same exact hours. Same exact zone. Past 5 months we’ve had the tier system, he’s been platinum and I’ve been under 30%. Day to day, week over week, we make within 10% of each other, with most weeks me making slightly more. In my zone, platinum means NOTHING
Why does he even bother getting Platinum? He's gonna wear his car out taking all those low tip/high mile orders. I bet you are putting less miles on your car than he is.
@@nocturnus6 u are absolutely correct and I have this same talk with him almost daily. He says it’s less stress cuz he doesn’t have to schedule ahead of time and doesn’t stress about if an order isn’t ready when he gets there cuz he’ll be paid to wait. But 100% he puts on about 30-40% more miles daily then I do
I disagree with you on the whole dealing with a crazy girlfriend comparison. I get what you meant by it; however, let me just say this... If a girlfriend or boyfriend is crazy, you gotta let them go. Never put yourself in a dangerous situation for a few moments of "pleasure" 😊
