One of the Best Doors Tribute bands out there...I am old enough to have been to two real Doors concerts in my day and Mike here is as close to seeing the real Jim as it gets.
I can't argue with that. I did go to a couple of The Australian Doors Show back in 1990 to 92. The sound was impressive and gee wizz I would have liked some to have filmed a whole concert. Particularly at The Old Lion in Adelaide 1990. These fellas in the clip and also very good.
That's really awesome! can't imagine seeing them live. heck, I can't even imagine living in the same time period as them! I believe The Doors live on through their fans, people that saw them live. What strikes me is that someday in the future there won't be people left that saw them live and the 70s will eventually become a long lost period in time without inhabitants. My mother told me my grandmother once busted my grandfather dancing naked on The Doors when he was cleaning himself haha! (that was back in the 70s)

I've seen this bunch play twice in Glasgow before. Haven't seem any other Doors tribute bands live but, from what I've seen on RU-vid, which is quite a lot, The Doors Alive are easily the most convincing tribute band of all. Mike has the delicate subtleties of Morrison's voice down to a fine art.

Mike understand Jim Morrison's soul, his emotions, thoughts, desires; he understand where Jim was coming from spiritually. They have very familiar spirits and are on the same spiritual level, that is why he moves and sings with such an ease, he is very natural. All this comes out from the very depths of Mike's soul.
All of the Above, along with a bit of Whiskey, a nicely hand-rolled Joint of God's Green Grass, and most importantly, a soft Heart, full of genuine Love and Appreciation for Jim's original Style and the unique Qualities of his husky Singing Voice
You'd have to consume many mushrooms to confuse this guy with Jim. He does a decent job of Jm, and his band is good, but he's only in the very general vicinity of Jim Morrison as a singer/performer. Not as rich in the baritone range and only an average rock singer in the higher range (where Jim excelled) When Jim screamed, for example, you could measure the pitch with a tuning fork. I know because I have tuning forks and have tried just that.
@@jlolson53 He's got the baritone down but Jims tenor was more raunchy, Jim could go high and still maintain a low scratchy sound. The only other singer I've heard do that is Layne Staley but Layne had nothin on Jim's baritone his range and style were unique, one of a kind and that's why we call Jim Morrison the one and only.
Seeing these guys tomorrow night in Sheffield, UK. They sound amazing! Thinking of challenging my friends to a drinking game where we have to drink every time Mike says "alright". I hope we don't die..!
We didn't die! Then again, a round of drinks was £20... (O2, three of us!!) Fantastic gig though. I was lucky enough to see Ray and Robby play with Ian Astbury in 2003 and these guys were almost as good! Mike is Jim Morrison reincarnated. If you get a chance go and see them. :-)

I can NOT see/hear a difference between him and Morrison, in the two seconds: (1:40:12-1:40:14)!!! Do YOU??? I use to know the Doors music very well, but even I am amazed fot this two seconds!!! By the way...He maybe acts to much and uses his voice much to "dark/deep", but still a VERY COOL Concert!
Ja das ist wahr. Aber irgendwie besser als kein live Konzert.. JM war viel mehr als nur das was von ihm dargestellt wird. Dieser Sänger will zuviel auf einmal. Meine Meinung.
They say The Wild Child has been the best Doors tribute band ever, and Dave Brock the best Jim's tribute singer and I agreed, they were great, but please allow me to say that this guy (don't know his name) as far as I can judge is actually at this point more powerful singer than Dave Brock, the guy simply has got the baritone, very powerful and very similar to Jim Morrison. He is singing easy, feel very confident as it seems, unlike some other tribute singers of whome many struggle to reach Jim's power in voice this guy does it quite easy, aware of his singing capabilities. The rest of the band are also obviously excellent musicians.

This was great I loved it. The vocalist was so good /if I shut my eyes I could sweer that is Jim Morrison. It's official - I'm a fan. As I listened to more songs I see the vocalist is flauless, can't find any fault with this performer.

I'd love to hear them sing "been down so long" and "5 to 1" and "unknown soldier" and I know it's asking a lot but they can do it oh! and Crystal ship dam these gents are good. Oh dang it! Let's swim to the moon full version. Sorry I know I'm pushing it but dang this was my youth and the Doors were and are and always will be my fav band. I want to drop 2 doses and tune out so I can tune in once again and revisit my past.
Dani, I like the fact that he does not want to totally become Jim Morrison. That is why he sounds great and natural as he is not pretending to be 100% Jim, that would be cringe to watch. I hear and see Jim through Mike, yet I see the original Mike still.
To the gents in the band PLEASE! come to America especially the west coast home of the doors. I want, along with many others to see you live. Great show as always. Only one thing I'd complain about and it's really not a complaint maybe it's more of a question where's the slide on that SG its Robbie krieger's signature sound and it perfects every song(just my opinion) other than that this is perfection.

Looks like pouring rain, but the music's good!! Amazing the likeness!! He really gets both the notes and Jim's essence. Rider's on the Storm, great, can't compare to 'live Jim' cause he never performed this!!
i like this tribute band bc they over doing it, they don’t dress like the doors they are just themself in they own choice of clothes and that´s a big plus
