I really like that. The endless panels and faff just adds to the appeal. I love the blocky block look. It’s so cool. I apologise for being a total geek 😅 My only concern is how it works for left handers in boro mode?? Anyhow, I hope Mr. Nick is tip top and hope everyone else is too. Thank you for the review sir 😘
Hey nick. No beating around the bush here That thing is hideous! my girlfriend is a 'fan' of the older dot aios becoase of their clean look at small size. I showed her this and she was visably sickened by the ugly 'cyber truck mod' monstrosity. I get what you're saying about the panels. Boro bridges are often nicer looking than the mods they go in. And a visable tank is usually much easier to fill. My bigest gripe (aside from how ugly it is) is the battery compartment, it makes no sense for it to detach when either part on its own is useless. Even if they plan to make a 21700 attachment, that would likely be dependant on the sales of this thing and i don't see this abomination getting a lot of sales. When compared to the other new releases which are either better looking, better performing, cheaper. Or all of the above. Thanks for the review. Keep up the good work. 😘 #fuckdotmod🖕
Fair enough but I kinda had that same issue with the Stubby. The only Stubby I use anymore is the DNA with the cutouts and I'm still not a fan of multiple panels needing to be removed. Also.. the Stubby is just kinda cooler than this and has a completely new bigger capacity platform. If this went from Dot to BORO to Stubby, I could probably overlook the panels.
Always nice to start the morning off with a Grimm Green review! Even if it is on a hideous device that has too many panels lol Only one Pron bot today? Dare say we are winning the war against the machines? Prolly not haha #GrimmArmySTRONG 💪🏽 #DuckBotMod #BuckFloomberd #EffTheFDA
I love your take on the dot x aio just as much as I love my dot x aio. I have 3 dots, the x, the new v2 Nero edition and a v2 lite. The x is pretty much my daily driver most days.
@TheOtherBrotherAli76 I just picked up the new Dotmod aio v2 Nero edition as well. I noticed that on top where the drip tip meets the tank is not even. The airflow is cut off slightly. Is that a known issue with all Dotmod Aio’s? Are all your aio’s the same?
@@seanrlewis04 I don't have that issue with any of my dot aios. And no, not all my aios are the same. I've got the 3 dots, the Aspire Raga aio and the Mike Vapes and Thunderhead Creations Blaze aio
I've got the black version (with a dual window blaze also), There's no clickyness in mine, but there's a bit of play with the boro tank and depending on how you adjust the tank inside the mod, you can short it and the mod will not detect any coil. (I just found out why my coil was not detected while watching your video :D)
There was a phone concept like this, years and years ago. You could “upgrade” your phone with aftermarket “blocks”. Want a 24mp camera instead of 12, different block. I can see the appeal of this.
Honestly it does look dorky but actually pretty cool at the same time, I will not be purchasing one because I already have a hard enough time seeing a normal AIO and this one looks even more difficult to see but hey, great review Nick.
I just bought the sxmini V Pure Plus and hope its good. Coil compatibility on this device is great but I really hope that the Pure Mode (Anti Dry Hit) also works with GTX and PNP Coils. Someone tested this already?
I recently got it. Mine does not have any play between the battery module and the main module. However, the only downside for me is that it is like a fingerprint magnet.
Too many panels and you can't see the bridge and yeah I don't know what that jet out pieces it's all about like that's just unnecessary there's enough air flow you don't need that again love your videos keep up the great work Buddy
I dont hate the spirit of innovation on this, and on paper is everything i would want , a chip module for replacement, swappable & removable battery charging sled, and cross compatibility with boro , with a bridge adapter could be the only mod someone uses. . To be honest as much as the shape would eventually bother me , its really the panels that i cant get with. If they make a squonking platform for it , i think id pick one up for the novelty. Otherwise they kinda missed the opportunity to treat it like a sbs
Not sure how long to contacts will stand up to removing and reattaching the battery module. There are adapters you can get to use your dot aio tanks with boro devices instead. Don't think I would rush to buy it
Sure and you could add a squonk section too. I think they would have been better served to just do their own boro mod or a new take on their aio. Super blocky and the battery section could have been rounded at least to make it a little more comfortable in hand. I think it's a miss and they could have made their own version of the Tita, but more compact.
theve already made a squank section for it seen it on another video where they leaked it looks awsome but they still havent released it yet :( you can see a sneak peek of it on FV Vape Show channels reveiw of the DotAIO X
I bought one and have had it for about a month. I absolutely hate it. Zero banana stickers, total pain in the ass and I regret not getting a stubby instead.
@@GrimmGreen I can’t remember a device I’ve hated as much as I do this one and I’ve been vaping for about 12 years. The dot coils are garbage, it takes forever to disassemble to swap coils in boro mode, they didn’t include a 510 pin to heat up your coils (at $150+ it should be standard in that kit) and almost everything about it is trash. Never again will I buy anything Dotmod.
Dude, I feel a bit of bias in your review. You mentioned panels a lot and you didn’t seem to have a problem with panel numbers on stubby! That one had three panels as well
I wonder how dorky it'd be if they actually come up with 21700 module, since it's obviously thicker and taller. I bet they're just going to come up with lipo instead of bigger removable battery
I personally haven't noticed anything yet, but with time I think those contacts are going to get less conductive, especially being pulled apart and re attached multiple times.
I prefer the older version. I'd accept it if the packaging had the boro module included but as separate purchase.... There are plenty of different boro mods on the market better than this device
I don't like this product by DOTMOD because it's too much big AIO MOD for the single 18650 MOD, because I like smaller AIO MOD as Exode, TINNY, HOKO-E, Q-BOT, BXR, DELRO etc...
