So it took a while for Elisabeth to see Pailn for what she was. Also, there are those of us who would personally NEVER have an abortion, but choose to not make that decision for others. Intelligent women are multifaceted, and DO change their minds and grow. I find Elisabeth's honesty and commitment to conservative ideals refreshing.
She had a point when she said middle aged men are going for younger women and leaving the older women lonely. That is exactly what happens so why would you say she's making it up?

She's not an idiot. She changes her mind based on what she thinks is good for her career and public image. Basically she is an unprincipled person pretending to embrace conservative moral values. The same is true of Trump.

She has the right to change her opinion. She was honest with herself and yes, it was a pleasure to hear from someone who didn't share the same opinion as everyone else. It was a pleasure to here the conservative point of views. Elizabeth and Whoopi made the show for being honest. I love and respect Whoopi for surviving this world and the challenges she faced. But Elizabeth spoke to my values more often. I didn't always agree with her or Whoopi, but it was a pleasure to have at least one person with a different point of view.
The saddest thing is on the left and right in tv land these people or way over paid millions of dollars when you could get someone fresh out of college to do the same thing for $50,000 a year and you wonder how much of this is put on for tv and what do they really think and believe know wonder my cable bill keeps going up
The fact that anyone gives her any credence or is interested in what her views are. She graduated at worked at Puma as a designer then went on survivor. Her background is so plain Jane, nothing special but people actually think she has something profound to say, lol. The media gives her way too much coverage.
Looking back to think of the people that came out of Survivor Australia. 1. Skupin - child porn owner and Ponzi scheme runner. 2. Hasselbeck - guys used to be envious of Mark Hasselbeck; now guys everywhere pity the poor shmuck. 3. Varner - betrays his own community and then pimps his book on how he's the 'victim' on the Reunion Show. 4. Alicia Callaway - not a child molester or anything, but 'bitch on wheels' doesn't seem to do her justice. And people thought Jerri Manthey was the all-time villain?
I watched this because the truth was told. Personally whenever I see her on the TV, I change the channel. She had no background to try to be a "journalist".
She was sharp on Survivor and a fighter. Very popular. But being young and new, and a Christian she had a hard time against seasoned people coming against her on TV. Sometimes she is trying to be funny and people don't realize that. She needed more time to grow on TV. She left Fox because of an illness and family.

Whether you like her or not, a LARGE amount of The View's popularity was because of her during her 10 years on the show. I'm excited to see what she does when she re-enters the television platform!
I started watching Survivor, 4 seasons after Elizabeth's season (each season is 1/2 yr) and heard all of the furor about her and her season. Most popular Survivor ever at that time. Then I went back and watched Survivor Australia and had absolutely no idea what the fuss was about (at least as far as Elizabeth was concerned). She was just this annoying, corny goody-good. Then she married Tim and men everywhere were supposed to be suicidal. But I think now that most people just feel bad for the poor guy and are saying, "Thank God that wasn't me."

Do you think she was hit on by the lecherous men at Fox, thus her quitting? I was surprised she quit when her kids were no longer young, why now? It made no sense to me, then the scandals broke and I immediately thought this might have happened to her. She didn't want to bite the hand that fed her so she quit and slunk off into oblivion. Anyway, it's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

*You misrepresented what she said about same-sex marriage. She supported the democratic process (people decide the policy) rather than unelected judges inventing new laws. That lesbian on the View was a fascist. She wanted a referendum but lost. Then she said the well of people should be ignored.
