Great video! Your curls are poppinggg! 🤩 I actually have this gel in my hair right now! It’s my second time using it and I really like it! I prefer a harder hold, so I topped the 808 with ecoslay jello shot both times and I got a very pretty result! 😊 I didn’t use a leave in, but I think I will try the knot today with this combo next time for added moisture! I’ve really been enjoying your content lately, tfs! ❤
Hiii 😊 I don’t use a lot of The Doux products, I haven’t had the best luck outside of the 808 gel. BUT I’ve seen soooo many people talk about the curl custard, so I’ll def pick it up one of these days. Thanks for watching 💕
@@OpeningtheVault365 I tried the Doux Honey Curl Custard. I don't know if I got an 'off' container (bought it at TJMaxx) but 1. I HATED the smell and 2. It didn't hold or define my 3b/c curls. I gave it several tries but ultimately tossed out 75% of the container, which I never do.
Your curls are really pretty! Sulfate free shampoo is best for our natural hair especially with color 😊 Adwoa shampoo is really good and AG Apple cider vinegar is a good non stripping clarifying shampoo
Thank you 😁 I actually really enjoy sulfate shampoos, for a few reasons, but its really based on personal preference. I’ve tried the Adwoa beauty blue tansy shampoo and that one is really good 💕
Hi 😁 I’m glad to meet you too. Welcome to the channel! My main tip is to stay consistent with strengthening products. I incorporate protein in either my pre-pop, shampoo, or deep conditioner. Sometimes all three products will have protein or just the deep conditioner. Whatever works for you stay on it 👍🏾 moisture is huge too, use very moisturizing products to style and listen to your hair. It’ll tell you if it needs more strength (if your hair feels or looks weaker) or more moisture (if your hair feels dry or brittle). It’s a balancing act but it’s so worth it. I hope that helps 💕 oh also, it might seem obvious, but be super gentle with your hair. I find that I can’t use combs or detangling tools the way I used to. Treat your hair like silk lol
Heard, botanical gels can be tricky. I suppose The Doux intended the 808 to be only a base layer, with the assumption that people would pair it either with a mousse or hard hold gel. I’ve seen some people use botanical gels as leave ins cause they only offer moisture and no hold 🤷🏾♀️ I hope you can find a way for it to best suite you! Thanks for watching and sharing your experience 💕
