She only ever got a chance at a career because she was Britney’s sister. She couldn’t really act at all when she was on Zoey 101. She could either stay quiet or actually apologise and try to fix her relationship with her sister but she chooses to capitalise even further off of everything Britney went through. I only knew of Jamie through Britney. Zoey 101 was an okay show, but I feel like it only starred Jamie because of who her sister was. Her acting was meh, but what really surprised me was her pregnancy. Her family (especially Britney) fought to keep her on the show and people supported Jamie through the last season while pregnant. I wish I could say the same for Britney. I remember how the media was obsessed with Britney’s sex life when she was a teen/young adult and basically shamed for not being a virgin, and then the media (and Jamie) had the audacity to say so many horrible things about her body when she had kids. The treatment between them was night and day.
The kicker for me is how she has no problem dragging Britney’s name through the mud but I have yet to see her drag her parents for what they did to her sister. Plz we all know who side, she’s really on
Imo, I think its good that Britney replies in public, because abusers tend to gaslight you - and Jamie Lynn has been doing exactly that, try to gaslight her in front of the eyes of the whole world. Its not just the book itself, she's been doing interviews, appearing on podcasts, posting stories on ig to victimise herself while making her sister look treacherous and unstable, which is incredibly dangerous considering that B just got her freedom back. 2. I remember when the free Brittany movement was getting more popular, I was suspicious as to why Jamie was staying so quiet about everything. Initially I kinda thought, maybe she's doing something behind the scenes to help her and she just isn't able to say anything at the moment. Eventually when she started turning her comments off I knew something was up. I can't imagine having your own sister betray you. I fight with my sister but I would never sell my soul at her expense. Shame on Jamie and anyone else in the family who knew what was going on and could have stopped it. (Also Zoey was my least favorite character on Zoey101 I knew I couldn't trust her)

Only people she mentioned specifically that did bully her were Jamie, Kristen (she played Dana in season 1), and Victoria. According to her instagram live, Kristen and Jamie would act like a unit against her, and Kristen apparently assaulted her, by pushing her against some rocks. She also said that in Season 2, she and Victoria were very close, until they got into an argument over a boy (I think), then Victoria started whispering some bad things to the cast members about Alexa.
Tbh as someone who grew up with 2 abusive sisters, I kinda hate this "But they're sisters!! They're family!!" kinda bs some people (not you Honest ♡) are pushing. Just because someone is your family doesn't mean they're good people and it certainly does not mean that you have to grin and bear genuinely abusive behavior. It feels so victim blame-y to say "Yeah your sister did xyz, but that's your sister so you have to forgive them" Like you absolutely do not owe them forgiveness, especially if they haven't changed or aren't even sorry. P.S. The whole "you must forgive them" thing is a line pushed by the sociopaths of the world so that there is no comeback for their terrible behaviour. Same. My younger sis is the same type of narcissist, bordering on sociopath. When I stopped speaking to her after a final straw, my parents tried to guilt me into reaching out to her. I almost die in from an emergency health scare and she doesn’t call or text, but I’m the bad sister for not understanding how hard that was on her. I had a miscarriage, no call or text, and again I’m the bad sister for not reaching out. Eventually had to cut my parents out of my life too, as my sis learned her toxic ways from my ultra Karen mom. I’ve had ppl try to convince me that it’s so wrong to do that, and no matter what you should always forgive family. Which is some old school gaslighting bs. If someone is toxic towards you (especially if there’s a long proven pattern of behavior) you must protect your mental health and either limit or cut off contact all together, family or not.

Just reminds me of the time Jamie-Lynn did a cover performance of "Till the world ends" in front of Britney, seeing Britney so unsettled and yet having to crack the fakest smile. It's hard to not see Jamie-Lynn as an opportunist, sure the book would inevitably mention Britney, but over 100 times? And not veto'd by her either? It's very off.
I said to my friend when we both watched that performance that Britney looks like she’s doing her best to look appreciative when really it was clear she did not want to be there. Having a bunch of other women get up, dress up like you and deliver performances that are derivative and totally pandering for praise must have been torture. Not to mention the fact that she was never allowed to release her own remixes and she had to sit and watch other people do what she was not permitted to because of the people in control of her. I was an over-30 year old dude when Brittany became popular, so didn’t catch a lot of her music. However, when she was struggling, I found her immediately sympathetic and my love and admiration for her as a person have grown throughout the conservatorship. I knew there was a kid sister, but having never seen an episode of Nickelodeon programming and not a country music fan, had no clue as per Jamie Lynn and her “career”. Logan of the Observe YT channel while commenting on the interview for which Jamie Lynn wore the Lou Taylor white blazer said she’d had elective facial surgery recently so it was hard to divine her feelings from her stiff expressions. This may be mean, but I felt like she got surgery to make her look more like Madonna, angular, serious, imposing. Brittany still has an attractive, more rounded, welcoming face with an easy smile. Brit seems like even though she’s worth 1/2 a billion she’d be fun to hang out with, she would play innocent practical jokes on you but you would laugh, too. She’d pick up all the tabs, be sweet to servers, and tip big. Jamie Lynn, on the other hand would be high maintenance, complain constantly, embarrass you with her outrageous demands and entitlement. And, if she DID pay for lunch, you’d have to say you’d left your glasses or gloves or something at the table so you could go leave a tip as you just knew she stiffed the waitstaff. Never met either Spears sister. Just saying.

Zoey Zero Zero. I understand in her childhood her maybe not understanding what was up but she has been an adult for quite some time. She could’ve came to get sister’s defense and tried to get Britney free. I do understand that her world shifted when she became a mother but she herself saw how controlling their parents were from her own experiences. Nah. I get that people love Britney and hate to see her abused (same as me), but I think we should just be a bit aware that britney herself may turn around at some point and want to mend her relationship with her sister somewhat or at least want the public perception of her sister to calm down, knowing how detrimental the hate can potentially be. Of course she wants her sister to know that what she did was wrong and face justice of some kind, but I would just be a bit wary of dishing out too much hate when the consequences can be so terrible and Brit's current feelings toward her sister may change.
I think it’s funny how Jamie is called out being spoiled from Britney’s own mouth, because her former cast mate, Alexa Nikolas literally exposed how she was on Zoey 101. If Britney wasn’t big back then, I don’t think she would have gotten her way.

There are court documents and actual evidence that Jamie Lynn and her husband were taking Britney's money!! Also, Jamie Lynn has been called out multiple times for lying in her book and has been caught lying in general. That is why it is so easy to pick a side and the side to pick is Britney's. Not saying I hate JL but I'm very disappointed in her.
I do think Jamie Lynn hasn't been a great sister but I appreciate the sentiment of wanting to protect her from so much hate, especially when we don't know everything, plus I'm still hoping Jamie Lynn can change and apologise to her sister.
