Srilanka great players left team. 1996-2014 was sri lanka golden time. Aftter2014 srilanka lost 2015 series by 5-2 against nz, lost quarter final in which sri lanka scored some 170+ runs. After that sangakkara and all legends left the team. Love to srilanka from India 😊❤.🇮🇳🤝🇱🇰

All the legend players played at almost same time. Back around 2010, mattew was may be 6th or 7th best player in the squad. Then around 2020 he was most imp player in team. That shows how much the team lost legend players.

A team which had Marvan atapattu, Kumar sangakarra, Mahela jayawardena, as captains, Muttiah muralitharan n Chaminda vaas could ve been captains but they didn't get a chance, now if u make shanaka as white ball captain and Dimuth karunaratne as test captain this will be the outcome, if u field five wicket keepers on a same day what can u expect, Sri Lanka has the talent but politics n board ruined the cricket

It's the complete fault of Sri Lanka cricket board. They favour certain players and keep them even if they do not perform well. On the other hands when legends were playing their last years instead of helping the new comers (unlike Arjuna and Aravinda who paved paths to Sanath, Marvan etc.), they focused on their stats. Then there was a rumor of picking players who belong to a certain religious group. Not sure about the truth about that, But it's 100% the fault of the SLCB

Once sl mostly filled with great cricketers who genuinely talented(mahela,aravinda de silva,jayasuriya ) and hardworking (sangakkara ,murali ) and also dicipline players on and off the field . Now sl team filled with jorkers and show off ones , we saw what happened in 2022 word cup ,where one of sl player arrested for some woman cases ,they more focusing on hairstyles ,tattooa,,golden chains ,posting photos on social media drviing fancy cars . Plz correct ur records, Lasith malinga captained Sri Lanka in 2014 t20 WC mid tournament n Sri Lanka won Chandimal was the captain before, lasith only lead Sri Lanka in few white ball matches so to name him as best captains will be not honesty, Jayasuria, Atapattu and Dilshan lead Sri Lanka for many years n they were quite successful too
