@@ploopy678! hey about T-ara's company making weird, I heard that T-ara's Company was trying to make T-ara as a 9 members group just like Girls' Generation, and a trainee called Dani was supposed to be 9th member of T-ara but never got to debut because of Hwayoung scandal
You should definetly do a video talking about the Unit, since that survival show was something else. From having legends as mentos, letting trainees who hadn’t even debuted yet or had no experience at all in the show participate when it was marketed as giving failed idols a second chance, rigging, extremely horrible working environment, and how both groups failed which is ironic giving the show was marketed as giving a failed idol a “second chance”. Also the fact that it went from getting higher ratings then Produce 101 s2 during the beggining to low ratings towards the end.
@@shuu-wasseothe show failed in its objective because both groups never achieved the popularity the show was aiming for but at least the main thing is it kept its promise to debut both a boy and girl group which is something Mess Nine didn’t even do and failed to keep its promise in
I heard that T-ara's Company was trying to make T-ara as a 9 members group just like Girls' Generation, and a trainee called Dani was supposed to be 9th member of T-ara but never got to debut because of Hwayoung scandal
At this point I just feel bad for the poor children. I hope they find a place that is safe, that puts their best interests first. I also feel bad for the actual T-ara members. With her. As messy and problematic as she is, I hope she gets help and some time to breathe offline.
I really think MBK Entertainment really messed but by not protecting the members during the bullying scandal. All of that hate probably really messed up with Ahreum's head, especially since she was only just out of her teenage years. Obviously none of that justifies any of her horrible behavior afterward though. I might be overthinking it, but I feel like she now has this perpetual desire to be seen as a victim since she wasn't in the actual instance where she was innocent.
In general though just unfortunate all around that it ruined her mental state especially since like you said she was only just barely out of her teenage years at the time
I mean, with the way k pop fans bully idols for even the smallest thing… when the bullying scandal happened, the messages she received and the hundreds if not thousands of vile death threats and horrible posts on the internet directed at her… of course that would mess her up. Same, i’m not justifying the things she did after it, but if you’re in an industry where they abused you and showed the best way to succeed is to abuse others, i guess she thought that would be the best way to act… (i’m not a k-pop fan btw, my friend is and told me about it… but ffs, idols are treated like crap sometimes)
Looking back on the year she was added to the group and also the group hit with the bullying scandal, that really messed up her mentality, and also at the same time, MBK is to be blamed for adding new members when the already 6 lineup were doing well, they can’t even protect them from the scandal, until the staffs and managers who were working with T-ara had to come out and release evidence about the bullying scandal clearing T-ara’s name although the damaged was done to the group was so bad.
Yikes. I hope that her children are ultimately placed with someone who will keep them safe and give them a good life. I wonder how/where she met the felon since he was unemployed and recently released from prison.
I've learned to always be skeptical of people who seem to have these never-ending tragic backstories of bad health and bad life circumstances that make people want to unconditionally support them. I have very little sympathy for those who especially use it to guilt trip their audiences as a perpetual victim to gain favor and money by always threatening to take themselves out. But framing your ex-husband as a child abuser and using your kid to be the one to say it when it was actually her who was responsible? That's more reprehensible than fraud. That's just evil.
Same that’s why in these type of scandals I never side with anyone because both sides can each tell a different side of the story that won’t add up fully, best to stay neutral
well tbh, for people with a tragic backstory it’s not uncommon for their lives to be continuously tragic because of the way trauma affects you at such a young age, but ur right what she did was awful
@@xrrgr Yeah, but my problem is when it doesn't seem like you're trying to get out of that and you just want to keep being a victim and taking advantage of people
Her mental health is all messed up, especially after seeing disturbing posts on her ig before she deleted her account, I was like damn something’s wrong with her, I just hope her babies are safe
Honestly, I think that she took one good look at how Hwayoung and her equally monstrous sister ruined her life and that of her teammates' without losing a wink of sleep, become popular off of playing the victim, and even when the truth was outed was STILL popular and remained unpunished for all the lives she ruined. Basically, I think Ahreum got the message that the perpetrator will not be punished no matter what, especially if they play the victim for long enough that their act is bought for years. So she essentially emulated the monster that ruined her life. MORAL OF THE STORY: NEVER add new members to an already well-oiled group! And to think that T-ARA would still be a successful group had the unnecessary loads not been added
The company should have told the whole truth, but the company remained silent and let T-ara get all the hate. If they just confirmed what really happened, T-ara would have still been huge.
Honestly, I noticed she was a little shady on the Unit in her comments. Didn't know about what happened to T-ARA but wow...makes perfect sense. Imagine your introduction to the industry be basically a prison created by a fellow member, the media and the public. She had to grow tough skin. Its sad to see what one shitty person can do to your mental health. Stay away from toxic people friends!
No one should ever feel bad for her. She only has herself to blame for her downfall. Of course the early bullying she experienced wasn’t her fault but scamming fans by using suicide as a manipulation tactic and lying about abuse is all on her. And her messy cheating on her husband just makes my skin crawl. Such a despicable person.
T-Ara breakup sounded EXACTLY like AOA breakup case - big kpop band cancelled and disbanded because of bullying scandal having centered 2 members especially, years after proving the victim was în fact the bully and roles were reversed, also exposed by dispatch via showing the messages exchange... I am starting to beleive there's a specific patern for these scandals, are they made on purpose? Very suspicios...
The pattern is that some people tend to have the "always support the supposed victim " mentality and never bother being neutral and learning from past scandals. Some even go out of their way to call others who remind them of this haters and such.
Now I get why feminism is not liked in Korea…women taking advantage of their victimhood is a sick thing especially when SA still treated like nonsense in that country smh
Man, her story is so wild. If trouble keeps finding you, you might be the problem. It’s pretty low to bring your kids into it. Also, why would people give celebrities money? They live opulent lifestyles. I do hope the victims get their money back. Mental health is so important. I hope she gets the help she desperately needs. ~ Can’t wait for part two.
@@gwennvy ~ I mean she is to blame for a lot of the problems she has. There’s no one else to blame. It’s okay to call people out on their crap and still hope for the best for them.
The biggest lesson here that T-ara’s company to this day fails to see: unnecessary member additions don’t do a group any favors…..hwayoung, this girl, and if she had debuted like she was suppose too Dani (justice for Dani) would have done nothing for T-ara talent/looks wise other then make the total age younger. All they brought was mess and controversy
Great editing and storytelling, smoothest sponsor introduction I've seen in a while (at least on par with akidearest), that cliffhanger? Dang, you're getting better every time
T-ARA has really been through a lot. So many negative issues and scandals one after another, but I didn’t know things were STILL currently going on. Also, I loved TheUnit. So many talented idols from disbanded or small groups that were struggling to get attention
Shame that The Unit failed in its objective but at least it kept its promise to debut both a boy and girl group which is something that can’t be said for another show similar to it, I’m looking at you Mess Nine…
man, how was the unit 7 years ago??? I'd love a whole video on the unit some day, there was so much talent in that show that just got wasted by the way UNB and uni-t were handled
Promoting an AI chat bot STEALING the identities of celebrities and public figures is gross. I know adsense is rough but please consider the impact it has to promote things like this.
I too was a fan of Ahreum, especially in T-ARA N4 and definitely felt sorry for her back in the day, but she and her boyfriend are a complete dumpster fire.
This is all MBK’s fault for how they treated T-ara and just stayed quiet on the situation. They gave Areum no support at all in the group when she was only 18 years old, didn’t showcase her talent to the public, and just made her leave the group, when they knew Hwayoung’s sister sent her disturbing messages in her time in T-ara and if they could’ve leaked that online in 2013 they would’ve been a success. The situation was poorly handled, which caused her to become a mentally insane person for years because everyone would bully her for no reason. At this point she’s just becoming like Mina and it’s sad. What a crazy person she is… first she accuses her ex husband of abusing her kids, then she breaks up and gets together with a criminal and proceeds to scam people online cause they know she’s from “T-ara”, and then gets pregnant AGAIN and now it’s proven she didn’t like her kids and she’s the one who abused them. Hyoyoung actually apologized and didn’t act this crazy as this. Areum is the real bully here second is Hwayoung. Get help before it’s too late.
Frankly... I am starting to think it's a pattern that there is a tendency for victims of abuse to replicate and sometimes be worse than their abusers just to feel a sense of empowerment and control. It's not exactly a consistent trend but there is a chance/ tendency. Some victims choose the highway but there are others like Areum who go the opposite...
i really enjoy your content but please do not promote ai bots or apps with ai generated content and images. its unethical and exploitative because of how ai-generated art is made. not to mention environmentally destructive. i'd recommend doing more research into this kind of stuff before promoting it.
"the biggest mess up of the k-pop court of opinion" Idk, the Garam bully deep fake was god damn **wild**. The truth came out quickly and people just didn't care
It's really sad what happened. Every time i watch Roly Poly i am so taken by how amazing T-ara was. An iconic song and dance performance that will never fade away. And the 'zombie' version of Lovey Dovey was a true joy to watch.
Omg this drama had my jaw on the floor! I can NOT believe celebrities beg for money from fans 🤯 Does that happen a lot in other countries? In the US i feel like flex culture is so insane and a fan would immediately go on tiktok and expose them for clout! Lol
Yeah scammers are getting even more crazy using su*c*de that’s insane they both need to get serious mental health but with South Korea handles it this will not happen and in fact people will unfortunately spiral further. I hope the children get safety and she has her new born adopted.
No bc I was enjoying the video and then the ai sponsorship came in. Not only is ai incredibly horrible for the planet because of the amount of energy it requires, but you’re specifically promoting an ai service that encourages weird fan behavior?
Not only encourages strange fan behavior, but also taking the artist's voices without permission. AI is theft to all artists, and it feels especially weird having a KpopTuber promoting it.
@@aniMeaganstream wdym mean encourage strange behavior I haven't seen anyone have strange behavior also how is it a theft? That you're able to upload voices on their omg that's totally stealing 💀
@@This.Is.My.World05 in the sense of voice actors and celebrities, they normally would be getting paid or have a contract with a company to have conversations with their fans. There’s the theft part. And the strange behavior part is that some fans already push the boundary between fan and idol, letting these unaware/delusional fans have close conversations (possibly even sexual conversations) with who they perceive as their idol blurs that line even further, and can lead to harassing behaviors.
I just worry about the children involved. We don’t really know if her ex-husband was abusive and she was just coaching the kids to say those things or if it was actually true. To have a mentally unstable mother and an abusive father is a horrible situation. I wonder who the children are with?
I'm at a loss for words about Ahreum now. I felt so sorry for her, but after watching Part 1 of your video, it makes me lose respect for Ahreum. I especially initially felt bad for Ahreum because of that Ryu girl. But I don't know what to think anymore. She is making Kwon Mina look like an average country girl.
The talki AI AD to talk to your favs is so real😂 But seriously I had never heard the full story of this and I have to say this is very well done. Thank you for covering these topics.
I actually just use my phone as my camera! I tried buying a mic, but it seems incompatible with my phone, so I'm stuck with using my phone as my mic too 😅
Up until watching your video I’d never heard of this former idol’s (and I use this term generously in her case) personal life issues post T’Ara. I always have to warn myself when watching these types of videos not to be caught up in the hugely compressed nature of things which is just a given of the narrative. We can be fooled into believing that there are direct cause/effects when presented with a narrative timeline in a video but irl it is a lot less clear. Or, to put it another way, I always take these types of videos with a grain of salt. Maybe if we had done that back when the OG bullying scandal was first reported things would have turned out a lot differently for all of the members 😢
You make a good point! It's hard for us to know exactly what got her to this point, and it's possible other things happened behind the scenes that contributed to this! Either way though, what she has been accused of doing is serious, and scamming fans/ lying about DV is never acceptable!
@@ploopy678 yeah. What she’s accused of is extremely serious and ought to be handled by the authorities. I’ll be waiting for your part 2 to see what happened next and purposely won’t go searching for information about it before then.
I’ve recently found your YT channel. I guess YT added you to my recommended list after I attended a Wheein concert last month (don’t know why they’d be related but the YT algorithm works in mysterious ways) 😊 I’ve watched a few. You seem to be clear, concise and do a lot of collating your source materials into your video narratives. I like also that you aren’t using weird AI generated images/video each time you talk about a scene but rather use source footage (I hope I’m remembering this correctly).
I’m more concerned for her children and her unborn one then herself I’m sorry it’s hard to feel bad for people who constantly use victimhood to get their way regardless of how she ended being.
OMG this was so crazy. While people can feel sorry for hating on her and accusing her of bullying, it doesn't make it right for her to lie about su!cide attempts, abu$e and mental health issues. I hope she gets the helps she need sand her kids are with people who care about their wellbeing.
Kpop groups should never attempt the graduation and addition of members that Jpop groups have been able to do for decades. I know Jewelry and Afterschool have been able to do it relatively successfully but just make a new group.
