I feel like a 7-0 victory reward that would be perfect would be something like "Pick any character on the board". It would allow you to start maneuvering around the board, getting to certain characters faster and it just feels like a worthwhile reward for going 7-0. Obviously the "you can path from this tile" rule would apply to this as well.

If you're able to summon shenron, and win the set, you can wish for one of four things for the nuzlocke. First option being to lock a character that your opponent has already won with. Second option being to choose a character that you want, regardless on where it is on the board. Third option is to completely randomize the opponents controller layout. The final option would be to switch places of the opponent to potentially take characters they've won with already and remove them from their board.

While I do like the idea of removing a character from someone, I'd prefer to implement a reward rather than a punishment (if anything else a comeback mechanic): - If you get a perfect while being 1+ characters down: you get a +1 win, - If you get a dramatic finish while being 1+ characters down: the next time you choose a character, you aren't locked to choosing adjacent characters, - If you get a 7-0 while being equal or having less characters: you can re-lock 1 character unlocked by your opponent. Gives more chances for the one behind to get back in the game while still requiring effort, without giving more advantage to who's ahead in the moment (it will probably make it more likely to have head to heads which are clearly better).

New potential rule: everytime you get a perfect, you can "lock" your openents character, so that they have to unlock every character around the "locked" character to have the option of picking it

For Ideas, I could think of these: - Maybe incorporate a classic wheel of punishments that the player has to roll, for example, when they keep losing with a character they've been stuck for 1 video (2 sets). So each time they keep losing, they spin it. Punishments could be physical things (e.g eating hot sauces), but I wouldnt go that far into game-limiting punishments, because if they're already struggling, it will just make it worse and the series is already long as it is lmao - Could add mechanics. Maybe the player that is stuck acquires some benefits. Like, if you've been stuck for 1+ videos, you gain the ability to handicap the other player for a set in exchange of something. Example, maybe you could dictate specifically which character they will have to pick next, BUT you will have to win instead of 7 times 10 times for that set if you want to move on. - You could add Training Arcs as punishment. For example, if a player has been stuck with the same character for 2 videos, they HAVE TO do a Training Arc Stream, in which they have to play at least 1hour in Ranked with a team using that character (without cheating, like using your 2 mains and the one character, so you can still kinda easily win). Maybe could have the goal of achieving X amount of victories within that hour to succeed the training arc, if not, there is a punishment. This idea is good because it forces you to improve so allows the series to not get stuck; secondly because streams with a timer+punishment have proven to work really really well, even if its a lie: if people read "I ONLY HAVE 1 HOUR TO BECOME GOOD WITH BLUE GOKU" as a stream title, they will click it more often (for example Ludwig has spoken about this strat and how good it works for streams -you need to put a timer on screen-). Then, if the player keeps losing with the same character, the Training Arc shall continue. The cons I see with this is that, obviously, it adds work to the series- and I know for content creators being on time with content is not always the easiest thing lmao. But you could consider it. - You could add Rewards. Maybe a player can decide to "handicap" themselves BUT with the premise of getting something great if they win. For example, Doto could say "I'll have to win the next set only using autocombos!" and if he manages to do it, he can "Jump" = pick a character that he couldnt normally pick for the next set, like on the other side of the board and start from there if he wins with it. I think these types of Rewards could make the series more dynamic and less "predictable" or monotonous. Maybe you guys could just come up with any rewards on the spot, it doesnt have to be a listed thing.

If someone gets perfected, you they gotta do a pride match Next round is the last one, if the perfected one loses, the victor can make them lose any already finished character or lock an unselected one to be placed to the last one(s) on their path If the perfected one wins, they can force the other to play a different character, or play any character they want, starting a second path (but won’t have their current character “finished” if they do so)

Potential lock out rule: since there are 44 different characters in fighters maybe every 10th character unlocked per person they can then lock out 1 opponent character so it’s not a lock out every episode and it at most 8 relocked characters

Id say a good mechanic would be, 7-0 opponent must play previously used character. Or if you get a dramatic finish (very rare occurrence) you get to choose a previous character they must use or you get to pick any character on the board to unlock

For maybe a 7-0 victory or if you win the set by Dramatic Finish you should be able to either: Choose your opponents next character, so even if they win the next set they have to unlock who you tell them to OR you can move to a spot they've previously unlocked & "steal it" meaning they have to go back to re-unlock it.

I'm sorry to say this Deion but there needs to be a catchup Mechanic If a player loses 3 in a row they get to choose a different character from what is unlocked to choose from if they want to.

Some rules I thought about maybe adding are A dramatic finish removes one of the wins someone has won already so if doto wins a 2 rounds and you dramatic finish his kefla next vid then you can set him back to 1 kefla win And If someone is feeling salty about a loss and wants to go to 10 wins instead of 7 the person who already got 7 wins can take the extra 3 wins and carry them over to their next character so for example if you wanted to keep fighting jiren then doto if he won 3 more matches those 3 wins go to kid buu

I agree with you Deion on the special requirements to spice it up. I think if you get a dramatic finish then who ever it got done on gets one dragon ball taken away. Then if you get 7 dragon balls in a row then you get to either wish to skip a character or wish to make the other start over with a character. Choice is yours on that lol.

Comeback mechanic idea: maybe if someone gets 7-0'd (or some other landslide threshold), they could *lock* the opponent into a character. The player who lost picks a character they've already unlocked and switches to them, and picks a character the opponent has already unlocked and forces the opponent to switch to that. So it allows the losing player to force an advantageous matchup, but doesn't give them free unlocks or anything. Whoever wins gets to move on as normal. Maybe each player gets a limited number of them for the whole game, or not.

Here's a great idea. You and Doto both get a "Double or Nothing". If used, you continue with your current characters and first to get 14 wins, wins. The loser then has their current character locked AND another character of the winners choosing

Here's an idea: you have the option to reuse previously unlocked characters, but if you lose with that character, then that character is no longer unlocked for you and must be removed from your board. However, winning with said character allows you to choose any character that is in that character's row rather than one adjacent to it. Additionally, this means you could choose a character on the players' side of the board but only ones that the other player has unlocked. Winning with an unlocked character on the other players side will remove that character from the players board and they'll have to unlock it again. But doing this means that if you lose with this "stolen character" then you in turn also lose a character that is placed in the same spot mirrored to that one. For example, if you win again with Bardock you could then decide to use Broly and attempt to remove him from Doto's side. But if you lose with Broly then you in turn lose Bardock and will have to unlock him again. And to keep this balanced, reusing a previous character twice in a row will lock it If you'd like to up the stakes, you could make it that a previously used character only needs 1 round to win or lose You could also sacrifice a character and intentionally lock it in order to choose any character adjacent to it. losing with the chosen character will then mean you've lost the chosen and sacrificed characters. But winning gains you the chosen character and the sacrificed one. Or just the chosen one Lastly, getting a perfect in any round allows the player to choose any character on the board even one on the other players side. And winning with a stolen character on the other players side unlocks the one mirrored on your board. This means stealing Android 18 and winning with her would unlock Trunks for you and any or all characters adjacent to him. These rules would allow for more strategic maneuverability and flexibility to really screw the other player or yourself depending on your move. Effectively making this into a Nuzlocke Chess Board

Idea for a Series: It can be either 1v1's or 3v3's, but the goal is to get the Dragon Balls and summon Shenron to "Wish" away a character from the roster permanently. It's kind of like a mini T.O.P.

I just had an idea for the nuzlocke: if you ever get stuck on a character you can go back to a previous character that you have unlocked. If you lose with said character you cannot do this until you win with the original character you had. If you win, the other player must stay on the character they were on and the player that won gets to move to any character they please as usual.

Casual ideas: 2 perfects in set, winner gets to pick a character from losers side of nuzlocke for their next character Win by 5 or more stocks: loser has to go back to previous character

About ideas for new rules with in game mechanics: - Doing a Dramatic Finish wins the whole round to the player (ie, goku DF frieza, goku wins the whole round) - Summoning Shenron during a fight allows that player to replay with any character they already won with, or pick a character and give them instant win (ie that character is considered as if already played and won with them) - 7-0 Allows the winner to pick a character to unlock from anywhere on the board, or lock one of the already unlocked characters for the opponent
