Obviously the screenshots of the messages haven't been shown but there is something with Twitch that contradicts itself depending on the exact things said in the messages. The thing is, Twitch allows minors to watch (mostly) female streamers who are literally half naked. The age to make a Twitch account is 13 years old. Although, there is a grey area in what the Twitch streamers that are half naked are exactly trying to do/stream to their viewers but they're still half naked.

If twitch had: 1) Actual conversation proof 2) Much more money and better lawyers than Dr Disrespect 3) The girl who was supposed to be the victim as a witness (The parents would definitely support that). 4) The support from the online community, turning them against Dr Discrespect How didn't they win in the court? Yes he might have texted that girl before he knew she was a minor, but all these allegations about sexting her or trying to meet up with her have not been proven and he did not admin it. He only admitted that he had a conversation with her and nothing more. (he didn't say if he knew her age or anything else) Its really weird. I have been in a same situation with my ex-employer, who convicted me about "Rioting against them and informing other employees about their working rights". Althought this was not entirely true (I did speak with 2 employees about their rights), even If I had done that, it would not be illegal, they were exploiting the lack of knowledge of their employees about their working rights. Anyway, I didn't let this slide, and we ended up in a draw as well. I pushed them legally and it wasn't in their interested to fight me more so they stopped. I also stopped because I knew if I pushed too much, they had MUCH more money than me and much better lawyers. Even though this was a draw, they did succeed to make me look guilty in front of the other employees, even though I tried to help some of them. I eventually left that company. The keys here are whether or not Doc knew he was messaging a minor when it was happening, did he stop when he found out they were underage, how explicit or innocent were the messages, did he really intend to meet with the individual even knowing they're a minor. Doubtful that twitch was trying to protect him because had it been a case with federal criminal charges, then no other platform would have touched him, and twitch would definitely be risking their whole existence to protect someone that isn't even earning them money which is nonsense. The previous employee likely hadn't come out sooner because there was probably an NDA associated with the suit and the events that lead to the suit, so either the individual decided now was the time to break the NDA or the NDA had some condition for expiration. Also, the suit Doc filed against Twitch was over his contract being terminated, and they reached a settlement with neither party taking full responsibility, which could very well mean Doc either didn't know they were a minor or stopped the messages once learning because had he done something that outright violated their terms or broke a law, then he would have never stood a chance at winning any amount of money from them at all. There are definitely key bits of information that are missing to this, probably information we will never know the truth of. Not defending or accusing here to be clear, just pointing out there is a massive lack of key information and it's impossible to definitively say one way or the other at this time. Unless the messages are released to the public and the details of the suit fully revealed we will likely never know the entire truth.
