It’s also an illusion created by the dress. Because it’s backless and the cutout actually extends around the sides at the waist a little you can see her actual body behind/in the dress, but because she has deep skin the darkness kind of “erases” that area of her body, making her waist look even smaller. You wouldn’t get the same effect with someone who has light skin, so it worked out really well for her with this dress. She looks friggin amazing 🤩 👌
