The museum is facing major challenges before they will be able to show the dress to the public. This leads to an emotional denouement in part 3 of this three-part docuseries.
The Gown and the Shipwreck is the story of a unique archaeological find from the Palmwood shipwreck off the coast of Texel. Ever since the gown surfaced illegally from the Wadden Sea, it has caused excitement worldwide. For everyone involved, finding a treasure like this is the reason you even start looking. At the same time one of the divers says ‘it has become a curse’.
