One thing among many that made this show great was the fact they weren't afraid to try something new or unusual.. the 'Five OClock World' opening theme, for one...Ryan & Diedrich--always funny, Craig too
Man I miss sitcoms like this, from an age long gone where it didn't seem like anything was really serious like it is today. And wow, I hadn't seen that ending sequence since the series ended. Thanks for posting all this. :)
“Hey guys I hate to tell you but it’s not over, I’ve been watching the monkeys and apparently the sex drug has an after effect.” “Oh no…what?” “Ah…” “Apparently the sex drug has an after effect.” “Oh no…what?” “Ah…” “Apparently the sex drug has an after effect.” “Oh no…what?” “Ah…” “Apparently the sex drug has an after effect.” “Oh no…what?” “Ah…” Apparently the sex drug drove the guy in the back table to death.
2:30 I love how during that whole sequence I was torn between "CRAIG! c'mon man!" and "omg I love that absurd giggle" This is so fun, thanks for posting!
I miss this show. This was one of the great comedies of the '90's. Does anyone know if the series was released on DVD? It seems like a great show to bring back in syndication.
Miatacrosser Amazon has the first season available, and so far that is it. It's a shame. Between this show and Home Improvement...sitcoms were pretty cool back then.
+Miatacrosser It probably will never get a full DVD release due to all the copyrighted music in practically every other episode and the royalties they would have to pay. Such a shame
+Dannitification That was what was keeping Freaks & Geeks back initially but fans raised enough money to show the studio enough demand existed to pay for the song licenses. I wish whoever owns the rights to The Drew Carey Show would see the light on this.
Still watch this show every day. Have the whole series on DVD thanks to someone on EBAY years ago. Sure, they are recorded from reruns, but they got every episode in order.
it did actually have him on a couple of episodes, the live shows and some other episodes where he played a new employee at Winfred Louder who becomes Wicks favourite.
Gosh i think i need to watch this show I saw a few episodes and didnt continue but now that i know Craig ferguson and adore him and love ryan I cant loose.
I love this show, but it started going south about the time Drew married Nikki and Kate at the same time. Then Kate leaves, mr. Wick leaves, and his brother Steve leaves. The girl who replaced Kate was likable enough, but it simply wasn't the same. You could tell they spent the 9th season winding the story line down to a stopping point.

Love love this show especially Ryan stiles, then whose line!! But where can I watch this??? I need this in my life.. I know there was more than one season.
He didn't talk to or when Wick was around because he learned that opening your mouth can get you in trouble, but he talked to Drew and at the end I think Wick was gonna give him a promotion and he said "thanks" to Wick and he got fired instead cause Wick though he wasn't being appreciating.
