My great grandmothers line went back to Catholics from Donegal, Tipperary, and Dublin. But let me tell you I love Irish ☘️ songs across the board. Even an Orange 🍊 one such as this 😅
Pretty much every loyalist song is absolutely awful, but this is a rarity. This and the Sash. I wonder if its maybe because it's technically not a loyalist song, lol.
It is genuinely a stark night and day comparison listening to loyalist songs vs. rebel ones. I’ve got no real stake in the whole thing myself, but if I had to choose a side solely on the music alone, the republicans get my vote lol
Nice song. Ironic is the fact that Orangemen supported the rebellion of the United Irishmen and would have welcomed Napoleon if he had invaded Ireland. Just like they welcomed King William of Orange. Only severe oppression by English troops in Ulster broke the will of Ulster Protestants .
@@fintonmainz7845 so it was not English oppression then when even the main general who commanded the British army to put down the rebellion was a Scot. And there were lots of loyalists in Ulster, a significant amount in fact.
Orangemen were the bulk of the Yeomanry that fought the United Irishmans rebellion and were formed to defned against a possible french invasion lol. Pure shite you type
