The duelling philosophies of Sly Withers 

As the addage goes, conflict begats creativity. But like most addages, it's cut too short. How it should go is 'Conflict without cynicism begats creativity. Supportive conflict; conflict deployed empathy and understanding is what actually creates any art worth creating. Case and point: Perth's rising stars Sly Withers.
With two primary song writers sharing the workload, Sly Withers are a curious case. Though they're friends and band mates, Sam and Jono are different humans, with different wonks and theories and, as Blunt Magazine would learn speaking with the pair, two dueling (read: conflicting without cynicism) philosophies when it comes to making music, and it was through understanding, and emphathising with each others different ways that the created their brilliant new record Gardens, out Friday, 11th June via Dew Process.
