Honestly, it's really depressing how the video game industry has really tarnished its own reputation....in one of the best positions in its history. We haven't seen success this high for the industry, and the pandemic really showed that. I remember a time when the mainstream media were constantly shitting on us consumers because of this, and now we're pretty much ballin...but at what cost? Now EVERYONE wants to cash in on this, and the gaming industry is now pulling the dumbest fucking move ever by appealing to an audience that could genuinely give less of a fucking shit about it rather than ACTUALLY TARGETING ITS CORE AUDIENCE. That's why this whole event was absolute shit, that's why TLOU2 won GOTY, and that's why the AAA gaming industry needs a fucking change. Honestly, give INDIE games a run. They're already doing way better than most AAA games in terms of quality, so why the hell not? God, being a "gamer" really does suck sometimes because of these bullshit businesses just putting so little effort, and it's actually insane how we as consumers let them get away with it.
