@@marinasands4319Mitchell is a first round pick his spot is solidified even if he doesn’t start this year. So is Dejean’s. Ringo and Rodgers are essentially battling it out for a future starting spot once slay leaves.
Ringo had 🔥🔥🔥moments last year and he has great size and he is really determined you can see it in his face and hear it in his voice. He built like a saftey too
I absolutely hoped that Ringo might grow into a starter. Slay is still the man this year. Next year, when he's a year older, we can feel pretty good about the other guys on the roster. I believed Slay and Rodgers would be the starters this year, and nothing I've yet heard makes me think otherwise. We'll see how camp and the pre-season goes. The pecking orders of many positions are definitely yet to be determined.
wellll i’d rather have reddick on the Eagles and happy. had we not signed bradberry maybe there’s more money to pay reddick and keep him on the team and not holding out. avoiding the drama is nice, but we also want reddick to play and play very well to increase the return on the trade. just because the jets are totally incompetent doesn’t mean howie did everything right.
@@jtk534 I mean you're right that it doesn't necessarily mean Howie is a genius but we saw how Has and Nick got into it on the sidelines, he was obviously not happy w the coaching. I doubt he would have been happy under Nick this year
Eagles have some very tough WR matchups this year...that much inexperience would be more of a liability than anything else. CJ with 5 years would be the most experienced, and we're just hoping he can stay healthy for the whole season
I've always known ringo is gonna be a big part of our future i loved watching him at georgia a few times he did look lost out there but 95 percent of the time he was a lock down corner
I’ve said it before: I love slay but it’s the best business move for the team to trade him in favor of opening up that roster spot for one of the young cbs. A move not popular now but in the event that whoever is cut in favor of slay balling out for a decade for another team while we had one or two more good years of slay, I say they should. I understand it’s all based on hypotheticals but hoping slay can continue to play at his elite level at his age is also hypothetical so there trading slay gives the eagles the best return on investment but will they do it? I doubt it but I’ve been surprised before especially considering that trading slay now returns even better prospects than if we wait a year or two when he might be valued less than he is today
Shouldn't be too suprising. Ringo came on at the end of last year and the Eagles saw something in Rogers. Add Mitchell and Cooper and the Eagles have a good problem.
Isaiah Rogers is the best corner on the team, I think we start the year out with him and slay, but slay will come down with his seasonal injury and I don’t see Ringo giving that spot back up.
@thomasmottshow I'm not looking at the Haasan situation with the same set of eyes. I don't feel that this hurts the Eagles; because I rather receive something than nothing at all. After this season Haasan could have just walked . Why would you want someone who is clearly not happy about his contract to remain on the team? That could have possibly caused division, and dissension within the locker room. We now have everyone signed, and we can just focus on football, without additional distractions. As long as Howie is the GM, I know he will be able to flip that 3rd round pick (if that's what it ends up being) into something magical. Either way I feel that it was a win win for the Eagles.
Y’all keep putting DeJean ahead of the other true cornerbacks is crazy this guy gonna get toasted when season get under way. Y’all jumping the trailer class ahead of safety too, he getting this treatment cause he bright right
Been saying since the draft trade slay and get the best value because we need to play these younger cbs and get them on the field . Don’t want to waste years of young better corner back play just to release them and have them go off and be starters for every other team . We have too many young solid corners to be holding on to the last . I love slay but he got ate up all year last season and it’s getting older and more injury prone every year
Honestly I’ve been one of the few people advocating for Kelee ringo I seen special in him from flashes last year everyone was only mentioning rodgers and slay and the two new rookies as corners but honestly imo ringo can be better than all of them with his physical tools
@@Eaglesnest1225yeah after this minicamp but during entire offseason and otas and stuff after our free agency and draft I seen multiple graphics saying what the new secondary gonna look like and most of them didn’t even have ringo on it
It won't be Rogers, he'll be trade bait by mid-season. Fangio scheme calls for long, tackling corners. Rogers is short but long armed....but we won't know his tackling willingness until the pads come on at camp Slay is NOT a willing tackler but I bet he starts bc he's an OG...He'll be rotated out during the flow of the game and be gone at the end of season
We have so many good corners we don’t even know who to start. My guess would be Slay as CB1, Isiah Rodger’s CB2, Ringo CB3, DeJawn CB4, Mitchell CB5. Mitchell despite being CB5 could also be CB1, it really could go either way.
What ever happened to “for the love of the game”? And if anyone says Reddick is securing the bag, Reddick is being greedy. Dude already has millions of dollars. MILLIONS!!
I’m sooo ready to move on from Slay .. I’m going with Ringo and Rodger’s outside DeJean in the slot and Blankenship CJG at S with Mitchell coming in at some point. We’re so stacked in the secondary keeping Slay just doesn’t make sense especially everyone is learning a new defense. And before anyone says it’s the same scheme just stop because Desai was and is still an amateur
I was wondering this! If the corners have been as good as advertised then Slay’s job should be in jeopardy as well. He’s been good but he’s clearly on the decline. I think he’ll keep his job though.
Uhh.. Slay’s been struggling since the 2nd half of the Super Bowl season. It’s widely ignored because of how bad Bradbury’s play has been. Slay is top notch in the locker room and in the community but if Ringo and Q is ready to go, it’s time to make some business decisions.
Talk about jumping the gun ... hes talking about sitting a Perennial pro bowler on the bench because Ringo looks good at practice. (Insert AI practice quote here)
It's scary how much better Ringo is than Mitchell right now. In retrospect, this team didn't need to roll the dice on CB from Paducah State in round one, but who knew the kid would be this good this early?
