@@Taylor0816 Because she is the Queen of Heaven, Mother of the Living GOD, the Mother of the Church on Earth, and Master of all the saints. She is the closets to the Human realm of heaven yet above the Seraphim, Cherubim, and is immortal. If anyone any where can save you from sin, death, demonic possession, demonic attack, sickness, famine, plague or anything else it will be her. If for some reason your sin is too great she can always ask her Son Jesus, the Holly Spirit her consort, and the Pre-eternal Father her creator, to answer your prayers for healing, salvation and life eternal. Because of her immaculate purity and infinite humility before GOD her prayers of intercession are beyond any others. Most Holy Theotokos save us. Is a short prayer that contains the entire catechism. GOD is too great to approach directly. The Trinity is an all consuming fire. Yet the Theotokos means the GOD bearer. She was able to contain what has no limit. Just to try to make it short. First generate humility and repentance so you can approach Mary. She will bring to you the Holly Church, The Saints, The Fathers, the Magisterium, the Holly Sprit, and the Sacraments that were Given by Christ ,the Living pre-eternal GOD incarnate, to the world to conquer death and help every man and woman obtain life eternal. She is the gateway to salvation, the gateway to heaven, and the gateway for GOD to this fallen human realm. If you find her then you will find Christ, and once you find Jesus, you will find the Father. Mary was with Christ our Lord from the moment of his birth until his death. She saw everything! Many things happened in Jesus’s life that were not written down, but she was there and witnessed it all. She suffered with him his crucifixion, and Saw him in his resurrected form. She latter assented into heaven alive and Rules as Queen of heaven eternally with Her Son at the right hand of GOD. In her pure human form. This is Christianity. This Christianity from the beginning. From the source. Holly Orthodoxy. It is not a religion. It is a path to immortality given by grace. From GOD to man. Most Holy Theotokos save us. 👑☦️❤️

We should find even much earlier prayers to the Mother of God. It is important to note that the fragment identified in the video does NOT name Mary as the mother of God. All it does is use the title Mother of God. Isis is the mother of Horus and Semiramis is the mother of Tammuz. Both Horus and Tammuz are gods in the ancient world. The mother of God was a very common deity. She morphed from one religion to another and from one place to another. The Mother and Son deities go back to the earliest of times. Semiramis was the wife of Nimrod. This story goes back to the time of the Flood. So we should actually have SCADS of prayers to the mother of god floating around the Middle East even earlier than the third century A.D. We should have quite a few from B.C.

The papyrus doesn't mention the name Mary. However, it has the word Theotokos (Θεοτόκος, here: Θεοτοκε), which in greek means God-bearer, Mother of God, and it referred only to the Mother of Jesus. Isis and Semiramis were never called with that name, that title: Theotokos.
@GizmoFromPizmo
@GizmoFromPizmo 8 месяцев назад
@@sotiriapapadopoulou8945 - I would agree with you if you weren't wrong. Show me where the fragment uses the name, "Mary". I read the dang thing. It does not use her name. It's a reference to a COMMON deity - the mother of god. Whether you want to say that in Coptic or Greek, it's all the same title. Without lies, Catholicism dies.
@sotiriapapadopoulou8945
@sotiriapapadopoulou8945 8 месяцев назад
@@GizmoFromPizmo Yes, the name "Mary" is nowhere in the fragment, I already wrote that. But it is not a reference to a common deity. It is a reference to Mary, Mother of Jesus. The word "Theotokos", which there is in the fragment, historically refers to one, and only one person: Mary. There is no evidence that this particular word (written in greek, and no other language) was ever used as a reference to someone else, a goddess or a holy person of another religion, of any time or place. I am from Greece and I am Christian Orthodox, not Catholic.
@GizmoFromPizmo
@GizmoFromPizmo 8 месяцев назад
@@sotiriapapadopoulou8945 - What would a person from Greece call a mother of a god? Was the Mother and Son theology unknown to the Greeks? When I say "Catholic", I usually refer to the Roman religion (East or West). We know from GREEK SCRIPTURES (the New Testament) that Mary was never called "the Mother of God". We cannot find that expression in either the Old or New Testaments. The theology that claims that is post-apostolic. And if you examine the Catholic doctrine about Mary, you find that, while it is required for salvation in the Roman church, was missing from the canon delivered by the apostles. In such a case, the absence of evidence is indeed the evidence of absence. Would Peter, Paul or even Mary recognize such theology? No. It was developed after the watchdogs were dead. Or as Paul wrote: 2 Thes. 2:7 - For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. The word used in the KJV, "let", means to hinder. It's an archaic definition. He who now letteth is the apostles themselves. After they were taken out of the way then the mystery religion (Romanism) was free to flourish. Marianism isn't well thought out. You really can't come out with a dogma in the 20th century (which Marianism is) and redact it back to the first century. A dogma must be believed in order for one to be saved. If the apostles knew nothing about such dogma then that condemns even them to eternal damnation. You cannot believe what you've never heard about. Paul makes this clear in Romans 10: Romans 10:14 - How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? The Christians of the first century knew none of the things that were whipped up 19 centuries later. But that can be said of any doctrine that does not appear in the New Testament. Transubstantiation is not found in the New Testament Purgatory is not found in the New Testament Marianism (Mariology) is not found in the New Testament. Infant baptism is not found in the New Testament The holy sacrifice of the mass. Not found. You can click them off, one at a time all the way down to fish on Friday. None of these practices, doctrines or dogmas appear in the canon. These have all been whipped up by the clergy-class, for whom Catholicism is created. Christianity is for people Catholicism is for the clergy. Don't believe me? Take away the priest class and what do you have left? Clergy is nowhere authorized by the New Testament scriptures. The whole sacramental system collapses without a clergy-class of men. Anybody who examines it will see that I'm right.

@orthoglobus

Because she gave birth to Christ Who became man without ceasing being God. In other words, He Who Theotokos Mary gave birth to wasn't a man who became God, but God Who took from her our human nature so as to sanctify it. So the eternal Son of God became in time also Son of the Theotokos and consequently Son of Man.

Well we have to remember that Jesus gave claim to his divinity through his "I Am" statements. Thats why the Jews wanted him dead. While he did call God his Father he also has stated that "the Father is in Me and I in the Father" also in John he says "For unless you believe that I Am, you will die in your sins."

It is interesting to observe in those posts the various attacks and defences that are the realm of the ego. Ie; the split mind that is not the loving or kind mind of Christ. I see various brothers and sisters in Christ attacking and defending one another and wonder in whose name they perform such unkindnesses?. It is in your defenselessness that your safety lies as a follower of Christ. So many are so quick to DEFEND their beliefs when in fact, Jesus/Yeshua Himself neither defended nor attacked others. He remained humble and confident in his mission and his goal, which was always peace. There is no need for brothers and sisters in Christ to say "may God have mercy on you" and "may you be saved sinner" and speak in those harsh, judgmental ways, which are really prideful ways of saying their beliefs are right and others are wrong. Even if your brother or sister is wrong, you should tell them they are right! Who are you to judge them? It is your job to ask the Holy Spirit to see them differently. The more you think "they" should be saved, the MORE YOU are requiring salvation! Pray for your OWN mind to be saved!!! I would invite all on here - whether you are a priest or a parishioner - to practice self-inquiry and to sit in contemplation with your thoughts. Do this without all the rituals or paraphenalia of churches that are heavily distracting: put aside your beads and your idols and just be still in the beating heart of God. There is nothing more powerful. Ask for the Holy Spirit of God to reveal to you what the Truth is for each and every thought you have in your mind that is causing you suffering. And then wait quietly in stillness until images begin to appear in your mind. The Holy Spirit will show you images (if you are still and open-hearted) as to where you are being harsh on yourself, and therefore upon others. Ask to be shown a different and better way, a kinder way, a gentler way. So many posts I read on here contain much about the word of God and yet so little is said about the SPIRIT of the word of God! Steep yourself in listening, stillness and the music behind God's word rather than this egoic insistence on theology and the legality and "righteousness" of words! It's all distraction away from the Truth. The living Christ is an experience not a concept or an idol. Words get twisted to deceive, but His Holy Spirit will never deceive you for you will know it instantly through its sacred and sweet texture of gentleness and kindness. Go well, dear Ones, but go gently without defence nor attack, and peace be to All.

Hey there again. What is speaking in tongues, what does orthodox christianity think of it and is it possible for us to do it?
@orthoglobus
@orthoglobus 4 года назад
Speaking in tongues was a special gift of temporary character that the Holy Spirit gave to the early Church for the purpose of spreading the Gospel around the world. It ceized to exist quite soon so that St. John Chrysostom (4th century) to refer to it as non-existing in his time. However in certain cases has been "reactivated". There is for example a testimony of St. Paisios of Mount Athos (1924-1994) who was speaking in Greek to a French pilgrimate who, despite, was hearing him in his own language, i.e. French! As for the Protestant "speaking in tongues", this has nothing to do with the biblical gift of the Holy Spirit, but it is a rather psychological phenomenon. you Orthodox people really make a lot of effort to spread the veneration of someone else that is not God, praying to that person and asking even for protection, placing that person in the place of God. This is what the Bible says: Ecclesiastes 7:20 20 Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous, no one who does what is right and never sins. There was only one that never sinned and that is our Lord Jesus Christ, the rest are sinners in need of a Savior and salvation. Jesus is God and claimed to be so. At the burning bush Moses asked God's name. God replied "I AM that I AM." Fast forward to Jesus being questioned by the Jews: "before Abraham was, I AM And they picked up stones to stone him..." As far as "the Son of God goes" Jesus was Jewish speaking to Jews and the Hebrew understanding of sonship had more to do with inheritance than our usage. Both of these were blasphemous to the Jews.

In Revelation 1:8 Jesus is referred to as The Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the Almighty. All throughour the OLd testament He is the one that is revealed as God... the Bible says that no man has seen God the Father, but that the Only Begotten Son has made Him known yet prophets in the OT spoke to God, wrestled with God, and ate with the Lord like in the story of Abraham and the 3 men who visited him(one being the Lord). This was of course the Only begotten Son(the Word) all along who has been from the beginning, He was begotten from the Father before all ages. God from God. Read the Early Christian’s teachings on this, it brings a lot of clarity.

Orthoglobus your religion is indoctrination from first to last, full of CLAIMS that is based on nothing else but beliefs. and anything that contradicts your beliefs you stamp as 'heresy' even if logic and evidences are on their side. what I mention in my post is NOT belief or doctrine; it is Divine Reality that I (and many human beings and many ancient cultures far older than the adam-eve story) experienced myself. but of course with egotistic so-called 'saints' (read : liar) like Paisios being hailed as the example, Orthodox christians will continue to revel in their foolish and deluded condition.

@@adisaargani836 You are clearly misinformed. Sorry, but I don't have anything else to add to what I posted above.
