For anyone wondering: 500ml milk 50g cornstarch 50g sugar 1 cup coconut shred Thank you for this recipe! I’m gonna try it later. (Measurements from her website)
@@KC-xn4okThe clear water that comes out of a coconut is coconut juice. Coconut milk is made from blending coconut flesh AND the juice together. The comment above is talking about coconut milk from the supermarket, not what comes out of fresh coconuts.
In the Philippines, we have something similar called Maja Blanca. Same cooking process but the difference is that we put corn kernels and cream of corn. Instead of shredded coconut we put grated cheese on top or latik (which is coconut milk cooked until the coconut oil separated from the browned milk). Yummy!
😮😮😮 I love philipines! I was there 5yr ago and had this purple jelly thing on a bus ride.. wish I knew the name 😂 it was so tasty, a young kid was selling it on the bus
Tiffy! I made some of your recipes for dinner for my fiancé the other night and he loved it so much his dad call me the next day saying we should hurry up and have kids 😂
Oo that looks cool! Need to make sure your cornstarch isnt cross-contaminated with gluten during production though, i found that out from my friend who gets ill from gluten
In Poland we make it with egg yolks, potato starch, a touch of vanilla and a bit of butter. It's supposed to be creamy, not solid, served warm with raspberry syrup. It's my childchood dessert! Love it. It's called budyn.
Ive always thought coconut was such a delicious food to eat! There various recipes that contain coconut and they always turn out so delicious! Hopefully im able to try this!
In Spain, we have a similar thing called "leche frita" (translates to fried milk) but instead of covering it with coconut we batter the pieces and fry them. Here you have an example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-11zWeFKWelM.html
in Spain the cubes are coated in flour and dipped in egg, then lightly fried and coated in sugar and cinammon,it is a national dessert called "Leche frita" (fried milk) and if you dont have any issue with your calories intake,it takes the four simple ingredients to a whole new level😋😋
Yaaaaas, I'm mexican but I love leche frita. It kinda feels like spain gatekept it from us 😛because it's not popular in here at all but it is truly phenomenal.
That kind of dessert very popular in Mexico, we drink it liquid and called it atole de maizena or corn starch, or live it more solid and we called Jamoncillo ❤
This in our country -egypt- called mahalabia it's a A mixture that we put in dishes and decorate it with coconut and eat it or make rice with milk from it or add it to desserts, including kunafa, really a wonderful thing
I made this, for some reason no matter how long I put it in the fridge, it wouldn’t turn into the result shown in the video. Personal opinion: it tasted like milk with cornstarch.
There's no flavour here. What about adding vanilla or cinnamon or any other spices? A Chai teabag? Cocoa? Coconut milk? A pinch of salt too to balance the sweetness.
@@kpopaura2224 just not worth it, I dont have all my stomach and insides so everything goes through quickly so I start feeling sick straight away before the rest of symptoms bloom. Xx
Update: it did not stick at all, and it’s amazing. I added vanilla essence, little bit of cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in mine and substituted the coconut flakes for almond flakes 🥰 Thank you Tiffany! I’ll be making this for my family too
I knew a friend who made something like this in bakery school. But he dipped the cubes in egg was and then bread crumbs and fried them and sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar. He called it Leche Frita(fried milk) and it is a sweet dessert from Spain.
I’m Australian, my mother used to make that and we ate it for sweets in a bowl and it was called BLANC MANGE. It could have vanilla/choc/ strawberry flavours. sO GOOD
BRUUUUH THIS IS LEGIT MUHALABIA (google it lol) u can also make fried milk jelly it tastes AMAAAZING ok so 1- make the milk jelly like she did 2-cool and cut, like she did, into bite sized peices. 3-coat in egg yolk and bread crumbs (you can double coat by the way gives u a thicker crust which in my opinion is waay better that a sad lil' baby crust) 4-heat oil in a pot/pan on mid heat (or high depending on ur stove ig) and put the coated milk jelly cubes in. 5-remove when the crust is golden brown (true beauty) 6-EAT IT WHILE ITS HOT DON'T LISTEN TO THE TINY HEALTHY VOICE IN UR HEAD THATS TELLING U TO WAIT FOR IT TO COOL DOWN A BIT DO IT DO IT! STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOILING OIL!! 7- jk, don't burn urself, wait for it to cool down a bit then eat it, or just down it while its fresh out of the oil and do that dragon breathing 'it's hot and i burned myself but it was worth it' thing that u do when ur too impatient to wait fro ur food to cool down to a tolorabel temp.
This is one of my grandma’s favourite recipes!! It’s been in our generation for years!! I usually like to eat it as soon as it gets off the stove with come cinnamon but illl try this next time!
If instead of using the coconut at the end, you coat it in egg, and fry it for one or two minutes in hot oil, and then, coat it in sugar and cinnamon, you have Fried Milk, a very typical dessert of Spain.
