I love the closing statement "don't forget why you started, because it's fun" we need more aggressive inline skaters, I hope this sport makes a comeback
same age same struggle. used to be able to do handrails and now I can't even get a soul down in my first session at least not grind it. takes time I guess :D
Loki Simpson yes same from Manchester and went to a skatepark today and my and my friend were th only bladers there and got some weird looks and someone also gave us a bit of hate :( used to scooter but kinda stopped cos it’s sooooo boring
@Agent Beige I'm jealous there's even other bladers in Manchester! There's you, the guy below your comment and his friend and all the guys that put out edits from Manchester. I guess you've just got to find them or try asking on UKBC on Facebook. I'm a fellow solo skater in Wales, I love it, but I do wonder what it would feel like to roll with others again. Haven't done that since I was a kid.
I'm only 13 but I've been passionate and obsessed with skating since I was 5. I got into aggressive skating a year ago and this video really helped me 😁 I hope I can be a professional skater one day
@@aegiDiusMrChef thanks man I appreciate the reply. looking back 2 years the comment is cringe but i didn't get a chance to get new skates after I grew out of them and bought a pair of roces m12s a few weeks ago. it's going great after the 3 Yr break no regrets 😁
@@reyy1k cool i'll recommand u "Them 909 Pat ridder" with the intuition liner next time, will cost u more, but damn they are good! Going for the Roces M12 later my self..
Haha, yup, I'm 34 - did inline in my late teens and kinda thinking of picking it back up. Scared a bit though, but I'm using videos like this to hype myself up enough to just go ahead and buy me some inline blades.
... I have the Makio, Mizou, and Top soul downpacked... The friggen Frontslide is killing me. Not gonna give up and only been skating foe 2 months. I need to bend my knees more.
This video has the highest percentage of recommending my videos at the end screen. (Outside of my own videos of course) Even when you’re not trying to help you are helping us! Haha thanks Ricardo you are the shit.
24 year old here getting back into skating. Been about 8 years and just ordered me a new pair of skates. Going to take it serious here this time in hopes of becoming semi-pro one day. Loving the videos. Keep it up.
it feels so amazing, when i first watched this video a year ago when i started skating, i couldn't do anything. i always have these grinds in mind, and now i can do them alright. and i asked lino to make one with 5 switch up ideas, and amazingly he did! hopefully by next year, i can do them all, for right now i can do 0 switch up XP
Hello Ricardo! I want to start aggressive but my fear has always projected some clip in my brain of me braking my neck on the ledge or the rail (most probably from the movies haha) and ending in wheelchair. Can this actually happen and should I first learn how to jump properly and do slides prior to starting aggressive? Many thanks :)
i got my 1st aggressive skate just 2 weeks ago and i haven't tried rails and grindings yet. i'll try them maybe couple days from now. honestly im a bit hesitant cos im an urban type of skater but i want to try all types of skate. so... thanks for this tutorial btw keep posting bro! 👍👌😀
xBasara xPh you should skate with someone whos better thsn you even skateboarders. Cause skating with someone for the beginning will bring out the courage in yoh to do these tricks brother
Used to always find it easier for myself to do a 180 to backwards soul grind than trying to jump on a sloped rail to get it. Haven't skated in 20 years and just bought a pair of razors cult coppers to try out again once this isolation lark is over and done with
That's awesome man. You will enjoy it a lot BUT PLEASE, not trying to be a sissy, no matter the the level of skating you had or if you got slimmer, bigger or same , please take it easy. Body changes and in your heal you can do everything but your body will need to re adapt. ENJOY IT A LOT
Okay this is very helpful, I've been trying to learn how to grind for a few years, but I've never had the chance to consistently practice...so I've only practiced sticking and finally have the chance to really practice now!...although thanks to that I own two skates 😅
THE LINO LIFE It actually has, went to a park today and almost managed a full front slide...still needs work 😅 sadly I need to still practice sticking with my new skates
Hey, I recently started skateboarding, but i understood that it's quite not my thing. Iv'e always been passionate about Ice hockey, so I'm decent on Ice skates. Is it anything similar to ice skates, asking so i don't speond my money on skates and won't wear them after.
Hello there :) im literally 2 years late, but I want to reply lol. Yes, they're very similar! But you should know that with ice skating, its a little more slippery :)
Pornstar I always used to find difficult down rails . Soyale was hard as well. Everyone remember rollerblade chocolates and Daytona's or argon oxygens.i had majestics and daytona after.wish I scored k2 fatty pros though never got a go on them
I want you to know that I start 3years ago, it was the first tutorial on agressive inline for basic grinds That shot more than one grinds(the first that popup too) I did it and it works I think it's hard to debate this 5 picks... because they show you 5 differents position to place your hips on grinds that will build your fundamentals to learn how to be Sliding more "safely" if you can master this 5 on *both foot * so right as dominant then left as dominant or vice versa you give yourself a solid base to build on. One mor thing the Makio here is the Most important here, is the most easy to learn how to Lock on a ledge , but it also help you build your strenght on your dominant foot
I got my skates today. Tried to grind and almost fell. The problem is not my foot position (well maybe), but the main problem is my position. I tend to lean backwards. Any tips for that?
Joey Gallo hey dude ! Thanks for the comment ;) I had a few pairs of razors gens , like the first Murda from razors , the first aragons and the red gens ! They'd are good skates and with a completely different fit from the SL's ;) I like booth. Razors are good skates 👍🏼👊🏼
When I was a kid I used to do this stuff. Now I’m old lol. I might want to get to try them again. What skates are cheap that I can cruise around in and maybe hit some jumps and tiny grinds? I have no clue what is what now. Thank you.
Dislocated my finger about 4 hours ago trying to grind on a ledge 😭 now sat at the doctors waiting on XRay haha, thats what happens if you don’t commit i guess
Olá Lino, olha copiaram te este vídeo! (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F7_ONgq-7pg.html ) ja denunciei mas não vai adiantar de nada se não fores tu a ver disso Já agora sou fã deste tutoriais
@@andrewcastro7348 Hell yeah bruh! I'm most definitely down. I stay north of S.F. a bit but I'm totally with it! I'm OT currently but I'll be back in Cali this week! I'ma shoot you a PM YEE!
Super helpful, thank you! I just picked up my first aggressive skates in over 20 years. Crazy how much you forget. The tip about leaning outside of the ledge would have been really helpful this morning haha
I don't have a skatepark in my city and there are no metal rails and ledges. The onky thing we have are pretty rough Asphalt ledges. They work for the scooters, are they good enough for inliners?
Thank you so much. I'm getting my first aggressive skates tomorrow. I'm so excited to try them out and learn grinding. Hopefully everything will go okay! thanks again. best regards, sincerely - a person who is inspired by you :)
Met some skaters at one of the parks I go to. I've started skateboarding and stuck to it since my skates got lost during moving houses when I was younger. Eight years later I'm finally going to get back into it. I've always enjoyed doing both sports.
I know this video is old, but I followed these tips when I started 4 months ago. Now that I can do these grinds without a lot of fear of falling, I’m having trouble learning new grinds. Besides the trick acid, I’m trying to learn a unity but much more difficult than any of these. Thanks for the videos, they help beginners and us that are starting back up after many years off.
Thank you for your videos, they are great. 💪 Can I ask you what kind of skate I have to buy for starting aggressive? The guy at the shop said roces m12 or fifth element 🤔 are they good? I beg you to forgive me if my question is inappropriate
is it possible to grind on urban skates? ive seen some videos where people have ground on what appeared to be regular skates without the middle gap between the wheels
don't want to get outta context here but my frames are starting to go against the wheels making it rough to ride, any tips to fix them without buying a new pair of frames? thx and great content, keep it up :V
IS it possible to grind on performance/fitness rollerblades? If not could one change the frame on them to an aggressive frame so one could grind on them?
Normally you don't need glasses but if your sight is that jacked then contacts maybe something to look into. I'm short sighted too and I wear contacts.
Luiz Enger theyre super cool. i had the old shima 2 skates and a few more cult boots. nowadays i like how solid the usd aeons are the most for thats type of skating :)
THE LINO LIFE I'm choosing between 3 skates, any comments? www.reddit.com/r/rollerblading/comments/6eh108/choosing_first_aggressive_skates_new_or_used/ Thanks!
The editing in this video could not be worse... terrible editing. Why do RU-vidr's insist on not using Slow Motion when it counts! Use slow motion when you are performing the trick so us watchers can dissect every detail.
mute it if you don´t like!! its hard to please everyone...and most of all i need to tell you i love talking and engaging with people!! thanks for the comment ;)
